Hi all,

This forum is great, but I wasn't sure where to post this thread so I chose the most general one.

My question: where is the best place in WDW to shop for scrapbooking supplies? Once I get home, I will start making my first Disney scrapbook and I want genuine Disney stuff to make it authentic.

I know that one of y'all will be able to help. You all know so much about WDW.

Thanks in advance,

I believe that there is a scrap booking store at DTD. However, I believe that someone told me that their supplies there are not "standard" size so that you can't get refills, etc.

As a FYI. . .When you run out of WDW-purchased Disney scrapbooking materials, you'll find a ton of Disney scrapbooking materials at Michaels, if your area has those stores. . .probably cheaper at Michael's too!

Hope this helps!

Hi!! :welcome: to the Dis!!

I am a nut when it comes to my Disney scrapbooks!! and just like you...I only like to use authentic, WDW supplies.

Yes, there is a scrapbooking store in Downtown Disney named Disneys Wonderful World of Memories. The huge Disney store in DTD will also have supplies.

You will probably find the best stuff in the park & resort gift shops. Just keep checking different gift shops & you'll find lots of great stuff. Don't forget to check other resort gift shops if you go to eat at other resorts. The gift shop in the Contemporary (if you eat at Chef Mickey's) has a pretty good selection.

One other point...if you see something you like...buy it then. Just hold onto your receipt & if during your trip you want to return it, you can return it at ANY WDW gift shop on property. I made a mistake once of not picking up a really good scrapbooking kit, & then I never saw it again.

When we go on our trips...I bring a plastic case I got from Michael's that will hold 12X12 scrapbooking kits. That way, I can put my purchased kits in there & I know they won't get bent during the trip home (we drive). That case is one of my most prized possessions during our trip home!! I won't let the kids near it!! :)

Have a fun trip!!

If you book with AAA or have a similar discount (Dis VISA?) to the big Disney Store in DTD; you can get many items sold at the Scrapping store for less.

Michaels, AC Moore and Creative Memories consultants also have Disney products.

The store at DTD is great, as is the book shop at MGM.
I found some supplies there but also got mine from
Creative Memories - which has albums, a paper pack
and a new mickey punch the I love.

Thank you all for the tips. I checked out Michaels online and they do have a few things. I also went to my online supplier the Scrapping Cottage and they have lots of Disney stuff. But I am definately going to DTD and checking out that memories store there. I want my Disney scrapbook to be as great as I am sure our trip there will be.

Than ks again!

WOW!! Thanks I had no idea I could do that with the returns. My son bought an item he "thought" he wanted. He just was in a big hurry to spend those disney dollars! So I ended up buying what he really wanted thankfully I had some green (actually it was my souvenier money hehe). Will remember that thank you soo much I am sure we will encounter this problem again.
