I'm creating an autograph book for characters to sign so I can scrapbook when I return. From anyone who has been to Disney, what characters are we most likely to see so I can make sure I include them in the book?

Well if you are eating a character meal, I would look to see which characters will be there.
I love this site, it has all the characters on it and it will tell you where you can find them and rates how often they are spotted. It is ones person opinion, but I find it interesting.

It's always the luck of the draw! I'm doing the same thing and will do all my stickers and adornments after we get back! I will have the character sign one side of the book and later put my kids' photo on the other side and put any decorations in later.
You will see the "main characters" for sure but then you'll get some less popular ones too. Somewhere there's an enormous list to check off as you collect them. There's really rare one's too, I guess. I love autograph seeking because it's cheap...and I like when my little one's are scared to death of the characters one year then the next they are high-fiving them!

I have done this in the past when I've gone to Disneyland. I just made sure that I had misc Disney pages for the more obscure characters and that I had specific ones made up for the more popular ones. For example, I had a "princess page" and each princess signed by "her" sticker. I used a CM (I won't use the full name so no one thinks I am trying to advertise. :) ) Disney "snap" pack and predecorated the pages. It worked so well that I did it again for our trip in Sept to WDW.

I made an autograph book too, I had it pretty much done, just needed the autographs. This worked out fine, with the exception that I didn't take into account that there would be 2 different mickeys, 2 different minnies and 3 different goofys, ect. Sometimes they are dressed differently in each park.

If you are planning on going to any character meals, you can find out what characters will be there and include them in your scrapbook autograph book. 2 characters that we included in ours that were available outside of character meals were Ariel (in Ariel's grotto) and Belle (beside the castle at Storytime with Belle). You can leave some of the pages blank at the back of your book in case you run in to some other characters you did not include in your book.

I have read several suggestions on this on this board and the creative section. This is our plan: I will make many 4 X 6 card stock tags, in a few different colors, I will also carry a few colors of Sharpies with a small clip board to use; I and DH will get a set of these. For DD's I will let each of them get their own autograph books at WDW and let them get their own. This way they get to keep their autograph books. The tags that DH and I get will be used to decorate the Mickey Mouse CM 8 X 8 scrapbook that I got for each DD. If I am lucky enough to get another set of autographs, I will make a scrapbook for myself using the tags as well.

I am scrapping mine as well. Well, two actually, one for each DD...why oh why did I start this LOL
I went through our past autograph books and pictures and made a list of who we always see, who we see often, and who we "might" see based on only those we have seen before. There are some we haven't seen but I don't plan to give those their own page.
For those we "might" see and new ones we might meet I plan to make some pages with tags for them to sign. Also some pages that are just one big matted area for many of them to sign on.
I can email you my list if you want. :p

This sounds like a great plan. :thumbsup2 Not that you have to, but I've heard they do appreciate it when people bring non-stainable markers. Sometimes they get on the costumes.

I hadn't really thought about that, but I need whatever I get to be acid free and archival quality. Do you have any suggestiontions?

We are going to use the new retractable sharpie's for our books. I don't think that will be a problem since the characters won't have to put a top back on the marker. I bought 6X6 albums from Hobby Lobby when they had them half off. I decorated the covers with my kids names and stickers and put put 3 layers of Mod Podge over that to seal the stickers down. I have been working our books for 3 weeks and I'm still not done. It has turned into alot more work than I thought it would. I am having to make 3 books since I have 3 kids. Than main problem I am having is finding stickers for the more rare characters. I still have several pages to do before we leave.
Here are a few pictures of some of our pages. This isn't even half of them.

Those are great!
I am working on something similar..but not nearly so embelleshed! I just stuck a sticker on the page! For the harder to find ones I was going to print out clip art onto photo paper..and then make theminto stickers with the xyron thing...
I can't find Suzy and Perla stickers anywhere..and they are at the Cinderella dinner we are going to at teh GF!

When I was having problems finding stickers for those Hard To Find characters, I would go to Ebay and search for Disney Pins. When I found one that I wanted a picture of I would save it to My Pictures and print it out at home on regular paper and use glue to secure it. Sometimes the ink wasn't as viberant as I wanted so I would recolor some parts of it with a colored marker.
