Why are some of my friends..

so mean about me wearing abercrombie, hollister, and having more then 1 couch purse? First off my parents always buy me new clothes for back to school, which happens to be that i like those stores. second off most of the time the coach purses i have, most of the money that goes into those purses are my own. 3rd I do really well in school, I make straight A's, im in marching band, symphonic band, and I spend alot of time with my family, for working so hard all the time my parents like to reward me with nice things.. I dont have a problem with that.. but some of my friends seem to. Whenever i get something new they always seem to ask me let me guess that was like what.. ' blank ' dollars. Why would anybody spend that much money on a purse or a shirt or jeans or flip flops or whatever the case may be.. the truth is probably half the school wears these clothes anyways.. Im not saying i wear these things because everybody else does.. in fact i wear mostly abercrombie kids because i am a rather small girl for my age and therefore I would be shopping at limited too If I didn't get to go to abercrombie kids while on vacation in california.. :rolleyes: .. Anyways it just seems like some of my friends are so mean about things that i buy, always asking me why dont i just shop at khols? I politely answer that i like the stores I shop at.. but that never seems to be enough.

i think that they're just jealous. do they have these kinda clothes????? if tey dont, 9 out of 10 times, they're jealous, so i would just ignore them when they say something about ur clothes! :goodvibes

My friends are kind of like that.. I buy mostly from New York & Company and H&M.. and especially in the past year I've become fascinated in clothing and designing clothes.. and they all think it's a waste of time, and they make sure I know it!.. I get A's and B's, I'm in choruses, bands, theater, lessons and my parents reward me for it.. I don't do it to be Miss Fashionista of the Universe, I buy from those stores because that's just my style, it's what I like to wear - as your style is from abercrombie and hollister

There is nothing wrong with finding a style you like and wearing it.

You should let them know how you feel, maybe just something they say to get under your skin.. but either way, you should come to an understanding - hear them out, they have to hear you out.. I hope it gets better - I know how annoying it can be

Thy're just jealous. But I say confront them and tell them they're hurting you're feelings, and if they keep being mean to you after you told them to stop....maybe you have to stop and think if they are really your friends.

Well I personally agree with them in that I don't find it worth it to spend so much money on clothes, bags, etc. but theres drawing a line between mean and opinions. Tell them, maybe they're being sarcastic and don't realize when to stop the sarcasm. If it persists, tell them you hope their babies look like monkies and you don't give a flying f--- what they think :teeth: (yeah, I like that movie)

Don't worry, Friends can be really big jerks sometimes but I'm sure if they really care about you they will stop if you ask. :)

If they cant accept you for who you are, maybe they aren't your friends, and you should tell them that.

if your friends are always making fun of you cloths and stuff then they are not really your friends but that is just my opion (sp)

These ' friends ' are not my super close friend either.. these are the girls i ate lunch with this year and are my friends but aren't like close friends.. you know what i mean?
