Tickets with Package: can we save one for future trip?

Am considering booking a package depending on what comes out for November. I already have an AP but my DD(age 12) would need ticket.

If I bought two non-expiring tickets with the package, can we not use one at all and save for future trip?

I'm assuming the tickets will be coded onto our room key and we'd just save those or would it be best to have remaining days put on park tickets at end of trip?

Subscribing...I need to know, too. We have a package purchased for 4, but husband doesn't want to go to the parks. Can we hold onto his ticket for another trip? :confused3

I don't think you would even need to pay for non-expiring for one of them because they're valid for 14 days from the time of activation so paying for non-expiration on the one you intend to keep would be a waste. As far as I know anyway! :)

Yep. You don't need to purchase non expiring. I don't think you can for a one day ticket anyway. We did this last year for the free dining, and then in March we used our 1 day base tickets and upgraded them to Fl. Res. Sesonal Passes. This year we're going again during free dining, so now we'll have tickets for upgrading next year. :thumbsup2

No, I'd get non-expiring on both because due to pricing, would be buying 6 day tickets. We'd probably only have 4 days in the WDW parks (we have APs for Universal that will still be good.)

We'd be using on pass 4 of the 6 days and not using another 6 day at all. That would give us 8 days for future use that we'd probably use next spring. I'd use my WDW AP for this trip and DD would be using one of the package hoppers. I know on the partially used ticket for DD, with non-expiry, no problem with her using left over days in future.

So the basic question is for the MYW ticket with my name on it. Can it not be used at all for this trip, and in future, either use it myself or have her use it. CMs don't check id at the turnstiles so whose name on it wouldn't matter.

Second question is...has anyone had unused days on room key tickets put onto regular MYW ticket media?
