Does anyone have a website or store name that carries any tacky lights in the Disney theme. Our first visit coming up and we want to dress up the popup at Ft. Wilderness. Thanks for any help.

Disney had some cool ones at Christmas time last year and I think some people have found them at Downtown Disney more recently. They are the icon Mickey head and come in assorted colors on an electric cord.
I've also found them in the Christmas section at Target--Mickey and pals, and Pooh and pals.
Maybe not too much help for right now, though.

I bought a 10-foot string of Mickey/ear of tacky lights that are actually indoor/outdoor Christmas tree lights at the Christmas Store in the Magic Kingdom/Liberty Square. Each Mickey head is about two inches in size and there is one every foot on the 10-foot string. I think they were about $15 but Iam going from memory. :teeth:
They are the best I have found yet since we don't have a "Tar-shjay" anywhere close to me yet.

My Mom bought some this summer like the ones you describe bama ed. She hung them outside on the patio where we always sit in the summer. They are multicolored Mickey light covers over the lights themselves, so if the lights go bad you can replace them and keep the Mickeys.

I thought about getting these but since they are paper I was afraid they would tear up easily when being stored.

The paper globe lights are on sale at disneyshopping.com for $9.99. Look under outlet sales then home then garden and patio. :surfweb:

I thought about getting them too... But I'm not sure how durable they would be since they are paper globes. Does anyone have these?

I had got the paper lantern lights shipped to me this summer but the paper seems fragile and I don't think it would hold up if it got wet. Also the Mickey/ears design is pretty faint in the day time (haven't tried them in the dark yet). And you're right, J.C.&Ali'sMom, these are covers over your standard indoor/outdoor Christmas light clear strand.

Not sure about the tacky ones, but we bought a set of the indoor-outdoor Christmas lights at the DTD Christmas store in April and put them up July 4th. They look good sitting under the awning, but quite frankly, from a distance it gets hard to make out what they are. But then again all of them do.

Thanks for all the help. Jim found some pumpkin lights at Walmart. Since we'll be at WDW during halloween, we will be putting those on the popup.
