Hi! What works best - leaving the earplanes in from takeoff to landing or taking them out and putting them back in before landing?? Our flight is only a little over two hours. Last time I left them in the whole time.
Thanks,

On shorter flights I leave them in. Over about three hours I take them out.

I really didn't like the feeling of having the Earplanes in my ears, so I only put them in for the landings, not take-offs. However, if you have discomfort during take-off, it would be worth it to have them in then, too.

Historically, I would start having trouble midway through every flight and it would get worse after landing. I assuming that means I have trouble with both takeoff & landing, so I put them in before taking off and remove them when we reach cruising altitude - then put them back in as we begin our descent and remove them when the plane comes to a stop.
Doing this, I have never had any problems...it's been wonderful!
Hope you have a great trip!

OK - this is what I have learned to do. I put them in just before
take-off, leave them in, and take them out only after we have landed.
I try to minimize chewing and talking because that makes them
wiggle a bit, and not be as effective. I also try to get a direct flight,
to minimize the take offs and landings. Now last year, I tried another
trick and it worked out even better. JUST before boarding the plane,
I went to the ladies' room stall, and used Q-Tips to gently clean out
my ears of any possible ear wax. (yuck). This made the ear planes
fit better with less wiggling. If I DON'T do all this, the pain in my
ears will be so extreme I can barely cope with it. Last year's flight
was OK.
