A few ?s about BWI busses

Hi. Never been to BWI so have a few ?s.

Does the MK and AK bus service S/D and BC/YC too or is it a direct shot?

How would we get to TL? Is there a DD/TL bus from BWI?

Does the friendship launch that takes you to Epcot continue onto MGM or are they two separate boats?

The AK bus goes to Swan, Dolphin, BC, YC and Boardwalk. The same for MK bus, except they sometimes have a separate bus for Swan/Dolphin.

All DD buses go to Typhoon Lagoon during the hours that TL is open. TL is closed for refurb until Dec 29.

The Friendship boats do go from Epcot to Studios, but it takes awhile with the enroute stops at the resorts.

So just to clarify.... if I get on a boat at BWI for MGM it will stop at Epcot first?

I believe that one boat runs a route opposite to the other boat. So at Boardwalk you can board a boat going to Epcot next, or a boat heading for Studios. Somebody jump in here and correct me if that is inaccurate.

That's correct. There are 2 sides to the boat ramp at BW - one for MGM & one for Epcot. The Epcot side goes straight to Epcot and stops at BW first when returning. The MGM side stops at YC/BC, S/D then MGM, making the same stops on the way back before Boardwalk (that boat then goes to Epcot, completing the circle route). Pre-cuts, there were at least 2 boats running at all times, but these days who knows. You can also now walk to MGM, there is a path along the canal on the Boardwalk Villa side. You can also walk to Epcot, entering through the International Gateway.

1. That AK bus also stops at Blizzard Beach after the morning rush beginning shortly before BB opens (usually 10). The MK bus runs the route MK to YC and BC to BW to MK during busy seasons. Other times it also stops at S/D as the first stop coming back from MK.

2. The boats run Epcot to BW to YC/BC to S/D to MGM to S/D to YC/BC to BW to Epcot. Thus you can catch one at BW which is coming from Epcot that heads for MGM. You can also walk to Epcot (faster than boat) and to MGM (about the same). You can cut a lot of time off that trip to MGM by simply walking over a short bridge to S/D and catch the MGM boat there (and coming back you can save a lot of time by getting off at S/D and walking over the bridge to BW).
