DS love Pro Wrestling. The rest of the family knows nothing about it. On our last trip they didn't have any bouts ( or whatever they are called) scheduled. This trip they have one for monday night. DS mentioned yesterday that he would like to go and wondered if DH would take him. I know nothing about it other than its at Universal. What can you tell me about it. What do you need to do to go to the bouts. Any help you can offer would be great!

I don't know much other than its called TNA Wrestling, and their website is: www.tnawrestling.com/
Sorry I can't be of much help, they're definitely an up and coming wrestling co and they're definitely good too.

If you are in Universal Studios, just line up around 5:00 PM. The line is on the "Twister" side of the Jimmy Neutron store near the old Nick building. Those who are inside the park, get to go in first and any other seats are then open for those who are outside the park. Those who are outside the park just line up behind the Hard Rock Cafe. You should be able to get a seat if you are inside the park.

Thanks! Thats what I wanted to know! Looks like we will be at Universal on monday. This was the only thing he asked to do on vacation, so I hated to say no.

My fiance is a huge TNA fan, and we hope to be able to catch one of their tapings.
From what my fiance says, they do a taping for their weekly show every other week, always on Mondays. He also says that it's so popular that they turn away tons of people, so if you are set on doing it, I'd buy advance tickets.

But can you buy advance tickets? While I've never been (big wrestling fan also, but I always seem to be there the week they're NOT taping), it is my understanding that they don't sell tickets at all. They just let people in for free on the day, until the queue is empty or the arena is full (whichever happens first). Or am I wrong?

Just as a side note (as I sit here in the Orlando airport on my way home) we saw about 5 or 6 wrestling type guys at the HRH pool today. Big guys. Big BIG guys!
I'm not 100% positive that they were a part of the wrestling matches but from the looks of them I'm sure they were.
Just thought I'd chime in.

I'm fairly certain you can buy advance tickets.
I do know for sure that they turn people away.

There are no tickets to buy at Universal. You just get in line and go in. If you are inside the parks, you will be able to get in. If you are outside of the parks, there is a chance you won't be able to get in.

You cannot buy tickets for TNA. The only exception was Bound For Glory, but that is being taped in Detroit this year, so it's a moot point. TNA tapings are a first come, first served thing. Being inside the park is an advantage, however, I wouldn't be in line much later than 4-4:30pm.
TNA is great to see live, the wrestlers interact with the crowd and everyone is really into the show. :thumbsup2

I know my two boys would LOVE this (me on the other hand :sad2: ) anyway...does anyone know how long it actually last for?? My boys are aged 11 and 8 and if it goes on too long might be a bit fed up (or was that me :rotfl2: ) I think is it on Tues 10th October - when we are there staying at RPR for one night and I really wanted to hit that free bar from 5 - 7pm :thumbsup2
Any info would be great>
Thanks a lot,
Fiona

The TNA tapings (as far as I know) are only on Monday nights. And they happen every other week.

Here is the upcoming TV taping schedule at Universal.
Mon, Sep 4 TNA "iMPACT!" Spike TV Tapings
Sun, Sep 24 TNA "No Surrender" PPV
Mon, Sep 25 TNA "iMPACT!" Spike TV Tapings
Mon, Oct 9 TNA "iMPACT!" Spike TV Tapings
Mon, Oct 23 TNA "iMPACT!" Spike TV Taping
Mon, Nov 6 TNA "iMPACT!" Spike TV Tapings
Sun, Nov 19 TNA "Genesis" PPV
Mon, Nov 20 TNA "iMPACT!" Spike TV Tapings
Sun, Dec 10 TNA "Turning Point" PPV
Mon, Dec 11 TNA "iMPACT!" Spike TV Tapings
When TNA is on TV it is 2 hours long, so I'm guessing the live event would be at least that long if not a little more.
Hope that helps! DH and DS are huge fans, but they aren't taping the week we are there. :sad2: for them, not so :sad2: for me!

Thankfully they aren't taping during our week either, though I wouldn't mind it too much, I'd just rather be in Universal.

Hmmmm, they're taping the Monday we are there in October. Might have to check it out. I have some interest in wrestling because a few years ago I did some voiceover recording in my studio for Triple H, Rik Flair and Stacey Keibler. They were all awesome people to work with, especially Triple H!
