I was wondering if anyone has used the mail in application, that you can get on line and mail in, from Equifax.ca. They ask for 2 peices of ID and just wonder if it's safe to do so and if anyone has used them? :thanks:

I belive that you can also call them but according to DH who works for a credit card the service is pretty near impossible but you will get your report faster.

I called them last month, and (SURPRISE!) something with my account wouldn't let them give me my credit report over the phone. I wanted to get it done, so I did the $15.95 online. No problem once I paid. :rolleyes1 The report is there and accurate. So, I think it was worth the $$$ to get it immediately.

I got my credit file by mail from Equifax last year. (I also used to work for them) You have to mail them copies of your ID. I always felt comfortable doing it. They already have all the information you have ever put on a credit application anyway. (Including SIN) Do you have a specific concern? Maybe I can help alleviate it.

I was just worried about sending such sensative information in the mail. You know now a days when so much is being said about identity theft. Just worried about it getting into the wrong hands.

I sent photocopies of my cards and had no issues.
