Ok so I bought a Cricut machine (last Monday 8/1/2006) we I got it home I was sooooo excited  ,
so I set everything and went to use it and it would not work. We (DH and I) tried everything and then I called ProvoCraft. They said that it must have been a deffective machine and the ribbon that moves the cutter across the paper was never attached at the factory, the offered to send another out to me in 5-7 days (FedEx Ground). I am now 8 days out from that and nothing. I called them yesterday and asked for the tracking number, of course they did not have it and would need to call me right back. I called 5 hours later after not hearing back and they said that they are still trying to the tracking number from the shipping department, however they should have the number by the end of the day! Well we are now on the next day, there is no phone call so I just called and was not able to talk to anyone. Sorry for the long post, just had to vent!!!!! :furious:

Has this happened to anyone else with ProvoCraft??? :confused3

Why not take it back to the store and exchange it for another one. The store can do an RTV (return to vendor) and get full credit for it

I happened upon it on vacation in SC at a LSS. I live in VA so I figured that it would just be easier to go through Cricut/ProvoCraft

You should try to go over to the message boards on cricut.com. The people there are usually pretty helpful and there have been lots of machines that had problems, so someone there might have been in the same situation.

Also, there's a yahoo group for cricut users as well. I think it's called cricutcutter. They are pretty helpful there as well.

My cricut had a bad blade and Provocraft was great about sending me a new set pretty quickly.

Good luck!

I bought one last week or so, and when I went to cut with mine it didn't cut either, but I figured out what it was. One the cutting blade there is an adjustment and I had to set it on a higher number, somewhere around 3 or 4. Works fine now, and loving it. :cool1:

I was looking at getting myself a Cricut for Christmas. Does the machine come with any type of font at all or do you have to purchase them separately? Is it easy to operate? Michaels is having a Cricut demo next Sat, but I'm not sure I can make it. Any advise would be wonderful!! TIA!! :)

I think it comes with one. Its been a while since I first got mine. I love it. Nothing like being able to do letters with what ever paper you want to. Its really easy to use as well.

I should be getting mine tomorrow!!! I'm so excited!!! :dance3: I can't wait!!! I ordered mine off of QVC and it comes w/ Doodletype. You can get it on e-bay a little cheaper (watch the shipping costs) but it doesn't come w/ a cartridge.

I wish it was here now!! I have an empty house and a brain full of ideas!!!!!
