Hi
I got married at WDW and had my wedding DVD done by a videographer that wasn't disney.
The DVD is horrid, we cant hear the ceromony at all and we never will as this is down to overmodualition and that can't be fixed! I am gutted.
I dont want to get into trouble for naming the company but I don't want any of you to experience the same thing.
What can I do?

Oh no! That's awful, um...Im trying to think if there's anything you can do about it.
Im sure the mods here will let you know if you can name them sweetie.
Meanwhile, I know you must be heartbroken, but you'll always have your memories and how about your pictures..are they okay?
Heres a :grouphug: for you. let us know how you get on. xxx

That really stinks! I know there is a yahoo review site for companies that provide wedding services, I will try and find it for you. You can rate them on there if that will make you feel better!
I hope your pictures came out wonderfully !

WOW that sucks! you must feel awful!
My friend had a similar problem with her wedding DVD- all you could hear was the wind and rain all the way through it! She took hers to a local editing place who managed to copy all the images(actual footage) off the DVD and put it on to another DVD and then put her favorite song playing softly over the whole DVD. Maybe there is a way you could do this too? I know its not ideal but it may be an improvement!
Really hope no one else has the same problem!

I think that's a great idea! Have you already complained to them? Maybe the original company would do this for you at NO CHARGE! I was going to say free, but I do not feel it's "free" or a gift when you are making a compromise, especially over a bad situation!!! Good luck! :grouphug:

I am sorry to hear that this happen to you.
IMO. Slander is ONLY when you are saying something about someone or company that is NOT true.
If you do not like a service or results of service rendered, you are fully entitled to saying that including the name of the company. Otherwise, there would be no way for other people to know your experience so they are bound to encounter the same thing. Also, it can potentially help the company in question to improve their weaknesses. Companies should always encourage hearing feedback (good and bad) from their customers. Knowing is the only way to improve...
It is just my opinion.

The pictures were done by Randy Champman and they were fantastic! So yes I do have them, and we had the MK shoot so thats something else.
The only thing was our families weren't at the wedding and they were looking forward to seeing the DVD, Its so bad that I haven't shown them it. I feel that they missed out too.

What can i say a part from you poor thing :sad2: , i bet your devastated & rightly so. If i were you & if you haven't already done so i would complain, complain, complain to them. Not that they can replace your vid but you may get some compensation. I don't get how people who run companies that offer that kind of service can sleep at night after all surely they understand how special capturing your wedding day is. :furious:
If you re allowed to & are willing id appreciate you naming the company so these people can't do the same to others out there.
At least your photos were beautiful which is some consolation.
Lots of pixiedust: , :shamrock: & sent your way.
Chin up girl , just remember to give them a piece of your mind!!!
Let us all know how it goes

First let me say I am soooo sorry you went through this and I hope somehow it can get fixed. :wizard: I have to ditto what others are saying. I think that it is not slander and other girls should know both the good and bad reviews about a company before they make a descion so they need to hear both sides to make an educated choice...JMO! :goodvibes

Ohhhhh, I'm really sorry! I would notify the company with your problem and ask for a refund because the quality was not what you had signed on for. If they refuse, take them to Judge Judy!

Hi
We got just under half of the money we paid for their 'services' back, we should have got more but we were too upset about the whole thing and left it at that.
Overmodulation cant be fixed as it doesn't record what is being said, so nothing can be retrieved and fixed.
We were told by the company that it was down to wind noise, which of course can be fixed, but this was a lie.
Anyone who would like to know the name of the company please send me a PM and I will let you know as I dont want any of you going through the same thing as me and my DH.
My lovely DH has promised me that in 9 years (we would have been married for 10 years by then) that we can have our vows renewed at Disney and have another video made to make up for the one we missed out on. So I do have that to look forward to.
Thanks everyone for your kind words.

Lora...that sounds so awful. We got married 4 days before you and we had problems with our video--but not nearly as bad as what you are describing:(
