Attack of the Survey-Heads!!

Man, my wife and I must have had bullseyes tattoeed on our foreheads!! We were nabbed three times for park surveys this year! We took such pleasure in stating that we hadn't visited any Disney theme-parks on our trip!!! UNIVERSAL RULES!!

Does Universal surprise you with anything for taking part in the surveys? A free, 4-day all-expenses-paid trip by any chance? ;)

The last time that I was hit was in May 1999, when IOA had its sneak preview. Otherwise, I try to run really fast by them. :)

I must remind you: if you are asked to participate in a survey please do so. Not only do these surveys accurately tell us what you want/like or are displeased with, but they are taken very, very seriously. Many changes have come about as a result of them. Several extremely BIG changes...

I got hit last January but I really enjoyed it. I got $5 for my trouble and gave it to my son because it was his birthday!

Hey if they were giving away trips I would be looking for them myself!

I don't know if this would qualify as a regular survey, but we were asked to give out these tickets to the staff members who were doing a great job for us, it would enter the staff members in a contest to win something I believe. We got a free ticket each for doing it. So we were more than happy to participate!

I haven't been hit with a survey at Universal/IOA yet, but I get hit with them all the time at WDW...Downtown Disney, EPCOT and Typhoon Lagoon to name a few! It does give an opportunity to express your opinion or any disappointments you might have had, and it also allows you to say what you feel is being done right!
I've never been compensated in any way for them....tho I did get $2 one day at Universal for doing a diet cola taste test! That was nice! Not only did I get to quench my thirst, but I got 2 bucks to do so! My kids weren't happy watching me drink soda tho! :D

I agree, much as they can be inconvenient, I'll always do a survey if I have time...they definitely do them for a reason!

I try to "volunteer" for those guys every time hoping to get something free, but to better yet, skew the poll by my fanatic Universal/IOA opinion over a guest whose being surveyed for the first time "off-site".
But does IOA have survey where you can actually make money?
I did a Dorito's survey for the short-lived "Lime flavored" Corn Chips and made a couple of bucks. It would be nice to not have to chase them down at Universal for snack money if I am primarily over at IOA.

DH and I answered 3 of those surveys last Nov when we went as a couple. We felt it was a great opportunity to express the stuff we usually just say to each other!

I wouldn't mind doing the survey. But the one time I was asked was at 9 am just after the gates opened! After waiting a year to get back on Spiderman, who would want to stop for questions?

When we (my parents and I) were stopped by the surveyors July 2000, they promised us some things in our email inboxes (I don't remember what they were). Nothing came to my email inboxes from Universal, so they essentially broke their promise.
