Need help, rent a car or take cabs

Hi

We were all set to drive to Disney from Ontario, but now I found a great deal on flights, however we will arrive one day early and be there one day later than our disney stay so we can't use magical express.

I already have the offsite hotel booked, it is the HOJO Maingate in Kissimee, however I need to figure out if it would be cheaper to rent a car for $145 US. or take cabs.

This is where I need to go

From Orlando Airport to Hojo
From Hojo to Coranodo Springs
From Coronodo Springs to Hojo
From Hojo to Airport

Anyone have any info that could help?

For that price I would certainly rent a car. Cabs are not cheap at all.

Rent the car. At $145 you would probably save money over cab fare, and have the added convenience of being able to get around easier.

From Orlando Airport to Hojo--minimum $50 plus tip
From Hojo to Coranodo Springs--probably about $15 plus tip
From Coronodo Springs to Hojo--again, about $15 plus tip
From Hojo to Airport--another minimum $50 plus tip

And those are minimums. If you get stuck in traffic (which is a big possibility around here) the meter keeps ticking.

If you rent the car you'll have it at your disposal all week, and you might find that very convenient.

I would rent a car. We use Alamo or National right at the airport.

There are quite a few discount codes/coupons posted on these forums :)

We always rent a car even when the whole trip is right at Disney. Having a car gives you many more options. Like eating at a resort or going off property or even just avoiding the lines for the buses.

Cabs are not affordable! Car rentals are not cheap! People hate the lousy LYNX bus and still get you there for a mere $1.50! But, it would take over 1 hour to 2 hours to get you to the HOJO from OIA and even Disney, via the TTC, then transfer to a Disney bus to the CS. I would take it for granted! :eeyore:
