parking for Chef Mickey PS

We have a PS for chef mickey's on the day we arrive. We are staying offsite and won't be going to the parks that day. Do we have to pay the MK parking fee? I seem to remeber something about getting the parking validated but don't you pay on the way in? We also need to swing by shades of green to pick up our park tickets that night. Maybe we should just tell the parking attendent we are going to SOG. The last question is can you get from SOG to the contemporary w/o exiting and coming back through the MK main entrance?

Free to self park. Just inform the guard you have a PS at CM.

From SOG to CR: Leaving SOG, make a right. Continue to the Polynesian, and make a left at that intersection. Go over a few speed bumps, and at the very first light, make a left. This road will take you to the CR, it'll be on your right hand side. Sorry, don't know the names of the roads, just how to get there.:D

Park in the CR lot for Chef Mickey's. If you have a PS, they ( guard at gate) will have your name on a list, and you can park in their lot for a certain amount of time, I think 3 hours.

It is entirely possible you may get a CM at the entrance gate that will insist he charge you the $6 for parking. If this happens, it's not a problem. Pay the $6 and bring the parking receipt into Chef Mickey's with you. Tell your server when he/she comes to say hello that you were charged for parking. He/she will take your receipt and get you a refund. I've seen it handled two ways. Some have given the $6 cash back while others have taken $6 off the bill. This is the closest thing to "validated parking" Disney has.

BTW, they do look at the time that's stamped on the parking ticket. If you go for a supper and present a parking ticket that is time stamped 7:30am, they will not refund your parking fee. Yep, there are people like that. Imagine! ;) :p

darn! thats probably the only tip I didn't know when we got to wdw. We paid $6 parking fee when we went to our PS at chef mickeys on a non-park day. Sigh. Oh well, now we know for next time.
