Hi,
I'll be renting from National for our trip in Feb and was wondering what kinds of cars are available in the full size class. The National site only says the Buick Regal and similar. What are the other full size cars?

thanks

I've had the following cars in the full size class: Chevy Malibu, Toyota Camry, Pontiac Grand Prix, Chevy Lumina.

Rented late last month and saw the 4 that DebbieB mentioned. We got a Regal that was marked on the inside dash as a non-smoking vehicle. It was 3 months old. We almost took a Camry with a sunroof but it smelled very strongly of cigarettes and we are n/s.

Thank you for all the responses.

Which is the biggest car? I've had the camry and I liked the car but it really isn't that large for such a long trip (ct). Which out of all the cars do you think was the biggest and/or most comfortable? I want it all!!! lol.

ps: has anyone rented from National at Bradley Airport in Ct and if so, were there a lot of cars on the EA?

according to their website, National does not have an EA at Bradley.

The Regal is very roomy but the only drawback to it is the trunk has no depth, pretty much trunk and with a double stroller and 2 large suitcases we had to be very creative. We still enjoyed the car and were glad with our choice both times. We have also had a Malibu when we had 1 child and it was more than adequate. I did not see anything special, ie. bigger than full size on the EA either time we picked up our vehicle.

Pluto4President,
I just checked and they do. Maybe you had the wrong city? Bradley airport is listed under Hartford, but is actually in Windsor Locks CT. I had rented from National years ago and they had quite a large lot back then.

Baileybrad,
There will only be two of us so I won't have to worry bout fitting in anything as large as a stroller until I have grandkids. Unless the Grand Prix is bigger we'll prolly go with the Regal if one is available. I might even go to the counter and see how much an upgrade would be. When travelling that far, we like a roomy car. I was disappointed the last time I rented and ended up with a camry at Hertz. Nice car, but not for long trips. The older I get, the bigger my cars get. ;o) I just hope whatever we end up with has a good stereo. Gotta have tunes on the drive.

Bradley may have an EA but, you need to take a shuttle to it.

The stereo in the Buick Regal we had last week was excellent. Dual air was also nice. But the darn thing was white.
