Please help!!

I'm trying to remember the names of two books that I loved as a teen....5 or 6 years ago. If these sound familiar to anyone please let me know!
1. ABout a girl who buys a board game from some mysterious guy and she and her friends play it and get sucked into the game...I think the guys name was julian.

2. A group of teens with powers (esp, talking to animals) who are recruited to some institute only to discover the guy in charge is a bad guy. so they escape...its a trilogy I think, and one of the guys was a "energy source" vampire.

Please help me!!!

yeah the first one does sound liek Jumangi...I ddint know it was a book...I know its a movie..Robin Williams is in it i think Kirsten Dunst is too.

i dunno about the 2nd one!
