I was watching the game show channel, and what's your secret was on (I think thats the correct name) I don't know how old that show is, but a man on there had 1,800 mini
Disney tattoos, he had every character plus some that did not come out yet, he said he was the only one the have them. I wonder I he is on this board hahaha
I have one my ankle Eeyore, how about you?? :cheer2: :cheer2:

I don't think so.
All of his tatoos wouldn't fit on the icon.

I was at Disneyland July 17th 2005 (the official 50th b-day for Disneyland) and I just happened to run into this guy. He's got everything Disney tattooed on him. Space mtn, the Mark Twain, every ride, character etc. It was crazy. Really friendly guy too.

I am thinking about doing a Tink on the small of my back. But it will be just her head, wings and arms. I have an applique that has her leaning on her arms and that is all you see.

noseybuddy - I love your Tink. :thumbsup2

I've got no disney ones yet but the next one I get may be a pluto. Just have to decide where to get it and wait a while. I find them quite addicting and don't want to end up with hundreds by the time I'm 60!

Just a heads up for people thinking about getting a Disney tattoo:

Every once in a while, Disney lawyers go on a mini rampage and start threatening tattoo artists with lawsuits for tattooing copyrighted characters and making money off of property that isn't theirs. If Disney is on one of these kicks, the artist may refuse to do the ink; my artist declined doing Simba when the movie first came out for this very reason, but remembered and offered to do it a couple of years later. (When I'd already filled the spot. Thanks, Chris. *raspberries*) Chances are this would affect people who go to big name artists moreso than the guy down the street.

So if the artist declines, they're not being a jerk, they're just watching their tail. Give it a while and the artist might be happy to do it later when things cool down a bit. :)

I've got Sorcerer Mickey on my right ankle, the "Peace, Love & Mickey" in an anklet around my left ankle and a Mickey silhouette. I want to get another one. They are very addictive.

Noseybuddy: I'd love to see a pic of your hidden mickey. That's what I've been thinking about getting.

Peacelovemickey: It's the symbols. The peace is blue, the heart is red and the Mickey is yellow. I found the symbols as clip art online and copied it into a "string". I think it looks pretty cool.

I remember getting warned about that guy in my first days on the college program. Harmless but he does break some small rules that apparently Disney doesn't like - according to my trainer. They said he really enjoys the attention, so he'll take his shirt off and walk around to show off the tattoos. They constantly have to tell him to put his shirt back on or be escorted out of the park.

I have a Mickey head on my right ankle. Got it a while ago and want to get another tatoo, just not sure what I want or where.

Me, too! The forward facing Mickey on the inside of my right ankle. It was my sole act of rebellion upon turning 18 and going to college. What a rebel I was.

I have a large tattoo on my back (a tramp stamp, as I've heard it called) of the motto of the Jesuits, Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam.

I would LOVE to get a tattoo but I am one huge, massive, gigantic CHICKEN! I have very little pain tolerance. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to let the tattoo artist finish his artwork.

Does anyone with multiple tattoos have opinions on the least painful and the most painful body locations?

Also, more pictures would be great. I can live vicariously through fellow DISers until I build up the nerve to get my own!

I have a tattoo on my right shoulder its not Disney but as far as pain goes it just burned. The worst part for me was when the dude was coloring it in. It really wasnt that bad, but I do tolerate pain rather well so....but really if you have been through childbirth then you should be able to handle a 45 minute tattoo. :thumbsup2

I have two tattoos, one is on the inside of my leg above my ankle, the other is my disney tattoo, Sebastian from the little mermaid and it is on my lower back on the left side. Neither bothered me too much, On the leg one when they went over the bone it did sting alittle. I think my naval piercing bothered me more than the tattoos. I do tolerate pain quiet well, after giving birth to two kids natural, I'm game for anything.

Hmm...maybe I'll get a Captain Jack Sparrow over my entire back. That would rock!

I'm already looked at as strange because I have 2 Duran Duran tattoos on my left ankle...the symbol from the New Moon on Monday video, and a sun above that (for Reach Up For the Sunrise).

Although I don't have a Disney tattoo (yet ;) ) I have a dragon on my lower back, a Star Wars tattoo on my shoulder, and the design from our Celtic wedding bands around my arm as an armband. For me, there were two factors in the pain involved.

1. How close to my spine and/or armpit they were
2. How long it took to complete

The one on my shoulder is pretty big (took four hours to finish and I did it all in one sitting). By the end of hour three (and all the way through the last hour) it HURT!!! :crazy2: The one on my lower back took an hour and it didn't hurt much at all (and it was my first one). The armband I was nervous about because everyone said it will really hurt on the underside of your arm. Although I cringed a bit, it wasn't nearly as bad as my shoulder. But then again the armband only took two hours. :thumbsup2

I wish I could post pictures, but I haven't been able to figure that out. Anyway, I have mickey heads around my wrist. I consider them hidden because you really have to look close to notice. I also just got a tink done on my leg. I love the way it turned out!! I'm thinking I may get the castle done on the inside of my leg to make it look like tink is flying around the castle.

For the poster who wanted to know the least painful spot, I have a tattoo on my wrist, the back of my neck, my right ankle and my left leg from about the middle of my calf down to my foot. The back of the neck hurt the most :sad1: , but that was also because there was about 6 different colors so they were basically coloring over open skin (but it was well worth it :thumbsup2 ). The tink that I had done on my leg I couldn't even feel. (This would be above the ankle but below the knee). I had to ask my artist if he was getting the ink in (He loved that question  ).

I have to agree with everyone else. I find tattoos very addicting!

I have Winnie and Piglet hand in hand on my ankle. I love it.

Me and my mom have recently been discusing getting macthing mickey tattoos. It's still very much in planning stage, but is gonna happen probably as an x-mas present to each other.

As soon as I can get the time i'll post a pic of my Winnie and Piglet.

I just got my first tattoo on my right upper back/shoulder area. It's a black tribal about 6 in. long and 2 in. wide...of course, it has a hodden Mickey right in the middle...very cool...I am now addicted. I already have a tattoo picked out for the top of my foot. It's really cute with simple flowers bound together in a V-shape..I'm going to substitute a hidden Mickey for the flower that's in the middle. I love hearing about everyone's Disney tattoos!

Mickeymousemom: I'd love to see your tattoos. I'm trying to find a floral/tribal design with a hidden mickey for the top of my foot, also. I've currently got Sorcerer Mickey on my right ankle and an anklet of the "Peace, Love, Mickey" on my left ankle. Can you tell me where you found your design or did you design it yourself?

WOW! This has got to be the most active I have seen a Disney tattoos thread on this board! Awesome!!!!

If anyone has pics that they want to post but don't know how you can set up a free account at something like photobucket (or the Dis actually also has a photo posting section) and put your pictures on that. Then do an advanced reply and there is an icon for you to click to enter the address of your picture for it to put it in your post.

My two cents on tattoos and pain:

I'm not a big tattoo person, I have two, one on my back inbetween my shoulders, and one on my ankle (my mickey I posted) but both of my parents are covered and my husband has quite a few of his own too. . .. and I have a couple tattoo artists that are friends.
I am not big into pain!
I have given birth. . . but even though I was determined to go au natural I didn't make it and got an epidural (this pregnancy I am not even going to kid myself).
Yet, I found tattooing bearable. I just kept telling myself that the hour(s) of pain would be worth it for something that would last a lifetime (with the occassional touch up, ofcourse).

From what everyone has told me the closer it is to bone the more it hurts, and also the closer it is to areas full of nerves. The tops of the feet and hands, and on collar bones are supposed to be the most painful. Followed by ankles, shoulder blades, wrists, neck, etc. The least painful place supposedly is the breast or chest. Ofcourse this all varies from person to person, and one's weight, and pain tolerances, etc.
In fact my tattoo on my ankle was less painful than the one inbetween my blades, traditionally a spot that isn't supposed to be too bad, especially if you have some cushioning there like I do.

So, if you really want to know the best spot to get a tattoo my opinion is this: where you will be most happy seeing a tattoo for the rest of your life. Because ultimately that's what matters. . . . it might be the most painful spot you could have ever picked but if you never come to regret it then it will be worth it.

The quickest tattoo you could ever get is a name or writing. They also heal the quickest because the writing is so thin as opposed to inches thick. And it is hard for even a subpar artist to mess up writing.

Take into account healing, if you don't have anyone to help you, then the back is really not a good place to get a tattoo. And try and avoid getting a tattoo where clothes could rub it while it's healing. I won't give any other tips as far as healing goes other than do whatever your artist tells you. Just about every artist will have a different way of telling you how to heal it, this is mainly because no one but them knows what works best for their art. Different techniques call for different after care. (But do be wary of anyone that tells you to use neosporin)

Also, some tips for getting a tattoo:

Eat before you get it done! When you get a tattoo your body releases alot of endorphins. . . . and if you haven't eaten in awhile then it can cause your blood sugar to drop considerably. And you are technically causing trauma to your body when you get a tattoo so make sure you give your body fuel and fluids to help it handle it.

Take deep breaths!!! Remember to breath while your getting a tattoo. May sound simple but it really will help with the pain! You don't know how many times I caught myself holding my breath during my first tattoo. It can actually make things hurt to hold your breath cause it messes with your blood flow and actually causes your skin to tighten, making you feel the needle a whole lot more. So, breath, try and relax and things will go faster and easier.

Find a good artist with good recommendations. Different artists have different "touches" While the principle is the same and they all basicly have to do the same thing (get the needle in the same approximate depth, etc) different artists will have different ways of doing it. Try and find an artist with a "delicate" touch.

Also, find an artist that meets your needs. . . .do you like to have someone that chats you up while you're getting your hair cut? or do you prefer someone who is quiet and leaves you to your thoughts? That's something to consider with an artist.
If you like a chatty sort then it helps when you're getting a tattoo to have someone talking with you to keep your mind off of the pain.
But it can also be a bad experience when you're getting poked with a needle and clenching your teeth wishing the artist would just shut up!

Ok, I know that's a lot of info and stuff. . .. but in my opinion a tattoo should be a lifetime commitment and so many different little factors can play alot in whether your happy with it or not.
Even if it's just a little tattoo that only takes 45 minutes to do. . . . it's still there permanently. Not all the tattoos that people come to regret are big. . . some can actually be quite small.

Yea! This is my kinda thread!! I am just bummed i didn't bring my camera to work today.. i will have to post pics tomorrow..

Lets start with me: i have lots of tattoos.. but 3 Disney ones.
1. i have minnie on my shoulder, with my dd name under her.
2. i have a tinkerbell on my back of my neck
3. I have a large piece (large for me, i would say about the size of an open hand) on my other shoulder, it is the cinderella's castle, with Cinderella and prince Charming dancing - underneath it is me and my dh's name and our wedding date. That one is my biggest, took about 2.5 hrs to do.. but, ties in with tink (which i got after) and minnie (which i got first).

My dh also has Disney tattoos.. I will post his pics tomorrow too.. He has sourc. mickey on one arm , and an "uncle sam" mickey on the other which says- "Made in America" . Then on one forearm, he also has Mickey, Minnie and baby Minnie, and all of our names under it.. (Baby minnie for my dd).

Last time we were at WDW, Goofy came up to my dd and pointed at his tat's and gave a thumbs up!! LOL (Mine were covered).

I will post pics tomorrow!! I love mine.. not sure if i am done yet!! LOL

DH has talked about getting another tattoo. It would be his thrid. I'm saying no more tattoos but when he mentioned a Disney themed tatto I have to say I liked the idea!!!;) He says he would like to get a really intricate tattoo that has a hidden Mickey in it. His theory is only the true Disney lovers will spot Mickey and appreciate it.

I have one on the nape of my neck, not Disney (Dark Tower related). I've thought a lot about getting a Haunted Mansion related one, but I haven't thought of a perfect spot for it yet.

I'd love to see the peace, love, and Mickey tattoo. I've currently got a tribal/rose tattoo on my ankle, but it needs touching up, and I've toyed with the idea of an anklet either on the same ankle or the other. I really want a foot tattoo, and a celtic cross, and something Disney!

i have a angel eeyore on the small of my back (the same pic the OP has under her name) he is sitting on clouds and has stars all around him. I have had it for about 4yrs now.

since my last trip i am now loving tink, and im trying to think of where/what i would get of her.

i also have a celtic love knot on the back of my neck.

the most important thing about getting a tatoo is get something you LOVE, dont go in and pick something off the wall. make sure it means something to you and you will enjoy for years to come. that way you wont mind how it looks 50 yrs down the road!

maybe i can persuad DH to take a pic of it for me tonite.....

I have a Tinkerbell on my right calf.
Almost from my ankle to my knee.
Not just a Tinkerbell.
The design has flowers, vines, butterfly, hearts, & pixie dust.
Also a hidden Mickey.
I'll take & post a picture later.

I have Fantasia Mickey on the outside on my right ankle, Figment on the inside. Cheshire Cat on the outside on my left ankle and Tinker Bell on the inside. I also have a non-Disney memorial tat between my shoulderblades (hurt the most!).

Next on the list will be Grandmother Willow in memory of my Grandma. I also want the Aristocats as that would represent my mom, dad, 2 brothers and myself. I also want Belle (my DD's favorite). I want Chernabog but not sure where. And Pumba and Timon, too.

My BF and I have talked about getting coordinating tattoos and he has a large ocean scene (right leg) and we're thinking of maybe Ariel and/or King Triton which would tie in with his ocean and my love of Disney.

Here is my Tinkerbell as promised.
My DS 12 took the picture.

Here is the story of the meaning of my tattoo.

2 flowers she stands on our my 2XDH's.
4 heart kisses she is blowing 3 red DS 1 pink DD (my kids).
2 vines are the 2 families always tangled together.
4 flowers on the vines 3 yellow DSD 1 red DSS (my step kids).
49 pixie dust how old I was when I had it done.
Also a brighter furture.
1 butterfly me (butterflys are free).
1 hidden Mickey just because.

Had it put on right calf.
I have really bad veins on my left calf.
This way everyone looks at my right not my left.
People used to say (what happened to your leg).
Now everyone says (I love your tattoo).
I just smile & say thank you.

Tattoo was done at Adorn Body Art Portland Oregon by Anne

I love all of your tattoos! I don't have one yet, but I know what I want. It's a stretch, but maybe someone can help me. Anyone remember the Disney sing a long videos? There was one called "Under the Sea". One of the songs was "The Codfish Ball". It had very cute mermaids that looked like kewpie dolls. That is what I want! Anyone ever seen anything like that?

Hopefully I can get some ideas from fellow Disney tatted people...hehe! I got married at WDW at Sea Breeze Point, June 9! Yay! I really want to get a Disney themed tattoo in honor of our wedding. Any suggestions? I was thinking a Mickey head with the wedding date under it...Cindy's Castle with date under it...hmmm...dunno...or where?? I have 9 right now and 1 Disney tattoo...Tink on my lower back! I have tattoos on my left foot, right ankle, left thigh, lower back, upper left of my back, both arms, and right wrist. Don't know where to put another! :)

Everybody has amazing tattoos. I have four myself, but no disney tattoo-yet! :) i really want to have a little black hidden mickey on my foot or someplace else. I however can't see making the artist pull out all the stuff for such a tiny tattoo. someday- i'll keep looking :) but anyways everybody the tattoos are great :)

I would LOVE to get a tattoo but I am one huge, massive, gigantic CHICKEN! I have very little pain tolerance. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to let the tattoo artist finish his artwork.

Me too! When I went to Vero Beach last year I saw some really nice ones, and have been toying with the idea since then. I would love to have a Mickey...

Not to be nosy, but about how much do they cost? I have no clue at all.

Ok, I have wanted a Disney tattoo for age, but here is my situation:

I already have a dolphin tattoo on my upper outer thigh (I work with dolphins, so I love it and it fits me...it is small...maybe 2 inches). When I had my first child, I added a little baby dolphin swimming along side the larger dolphin.

So, I want to add something Disney, but I don't want a whole new tattoo in a different location, etc. What would your suggestions be? What could I add to my already existing 2 dolphins? Not interested in Ariel (love her, just don't want her on my bod forever...lol!)

Fun thread!

About a month ago I got my first tatoo ( yup, 35yr old, mom of 3, pre-school teacher). Its small, about the size of a quater, on the inside of my left ankle. Well...I keep saying to all my friends who are also WDW junkies, I really think I want to get a hidden Mickey.Where this is all coming from, I don't know? Maybe on my "bulletin board"-lower back, or shoulder. But small, nickel size. I'll keep you posted!

I only have 1 Disney tatoo but it's big! :) I have a large Disney tattoo on my left leg from the knee down to my ankle. "Good" on the back (Mickey, Donald and the castle) and "evil" on the other side with some villains.

I get stopped at least once every time I visit the parks by guests and CMs alike.

Feel free top stop and say hi if you see me sometime, I usually hit a park on the weekends :)

I have one on the top of my foot. Non Disney but a memorial one. The dead center of my foot really hurt! But, the pain didn't matter, it was so worth it! I love the idea of a hidden mickey.

My favs on this thread is the Tink with the hidden mickey on leg, and the memorial one with the initials on the stars! The Muppets one rocked as well!!

Speaking of hidden mickeys, I have a tattoo in my arm with a hidden mickey. I had one of the graphic designers at my previous job design it for me.

One time I was waiting in the line for Alice in Wonderland at Disneyland and a CM was just arriving for her shift. She walked past me. Stopped. Looked again and said "is that a hidden Mickey?" She pulled us from the line and let us ride immediately :)

Amazing tattoos everyone! Finally took a decent pic of mine (originally only had the ones when it was fresh... but Pooh looked like he was in a bar fight LOL) But now that it's all healed the colours are proper.

I have no clue how to embed photos so I uploaded it to DIS photoboard.
My Tattoo (http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=22491&sort=2&cat=500&page=1)

It's winnie and piglet walking hand in hand on my left ankle. Piglet seems a bit off as I took the pic myself and had a hard time turning my leg enough to get him dead on, so the reason he looks a bit weird is he's wrapped around my leg a bit.

As a mom of a boy (and a soon to be born boy too) that is a really tempting idea. . . . .except for me it would be my two boys and my husband. . . .since finding out I am pregnant with another boy I have been giving him a hard time about how now I'm gonna have to take care of three boys. lol. but, no, I wouldn't steal someone else's idea. . . but it is really neat!

I'm getting my second tattoo tomorrow. My first one is the one I posted about earlier, the tribal with the hidden Mickey(on my shoulder...back). My other one is a really cool simple tattoo with simple flowers that are sort of in a V-shape(think bowling pins, only flowers linked together by thin black lines and leaves). The flowers are blue and pink(alternating) and the middle one will be another hidden Mickey. This one will be on the top of my foot. I'd really like to post them here, or at least give a link, but DD left the USB cable to my camera at her Uncle's house about 2 hours from here. I'll probably have to buy another...but I'll get them up somehow...

While not in the MK, the shop I go to is only about fifteen minutes away from WDW property. I believe that it is called the Hot Spot. I can not remember exactly. It is at the intersection of 192 and Poinciana. I know my artist from back when I lived in Louisville, KY where she used to live and work. She was a friend before she was my artist. It was about a month and a half old when I took that picture. It was funny though on our last trip, apparently because the colors were so bright everyone thought that I had had it done at one of the temporary tattoo stands. They kept asking me how long they last. :rotfl2:

I would like to do this too, I would put Piglet and Eeyore. The Piglet would be for my DD(18) and Eeyore woud be for my other DD( in memory of her, she loved anything Eeyore).

We have these friends that got tattoo's in my DD's memory. Out of the 7 of us I am the only one that dosen't have one. My DH has two, one for each DD. My DD(18) just got one on her 18th birthday. They don't have any Disney tattoo's, I would be the only one that has Disney. I am still in the thinking stage.

Love seeing everyone's pictures!

I've got one more sitting and my shoulder tattoo will be finished. I went with the Fantasia theme. I've got Chernabog on the upper part of my shoulder with his wings draping over sorcerer mickey. Below Mickey I have Yensid looking up at Mickey not so happy and the dancing brooms flanking Yensid. I put my kids intials and my wife's name on the broom sticks. I will have over 6 1/2 to 7 hours in the chair and around $600 invested in this. I took 5 years to come up with the layout and have no regrets at all. Everyone that see's it so far love to check out all of the detail. I will post a picture of it when it's ALL done. Make sure your passionate about your choice. The first two sittings, people have come in to cover older tattoo's they no longer liked!!:thumbsup2

No evidence to share but one of my 7 tats is cheshire cat. Its the last one I got, and I dont think I like it :confused3 :sad2:

That's the biggest reason that I haven't gotten my Disney tattoo yet. I love looking at all of these pictures. Some of them do look bright and well defined, just like an "airbrushed" design and that is exactly what I would want. While others (not trying to pick on anyone's design) just look less professional. Less like it was pulled right out of the movie.

Even though I can look through a portfolio of an artist's work, rarely have they done anything specifically Disney or what I am going for. How will I know if the end result is what I want?

For those of you who have tattoos, did you bring in artwork? sketches? Or just describe to the artist what you are looking for? Did they sketch something for you before they started the work on your body?

Unless you have some pressing reason to get it done in Florida, I'd seriously recommend not getting a tattoo on your vacation.

1) Unless you know someone who you trust and can recommend a shop, are you just going to find somewhere while you're down there? Any decent place, walk-ins are few and far between.
2) Sure, you could use the internet to find somewhere, but there's no substitute to visiting a tattoo parlor yourself.
3) You'll want to show your design to the tattoo artist before you get there, so they can recommend any way to improve/change it to make a better tattoo. For example, if your design is insanely detailed, this can be a problem because fine lines don't age well. Just because something works as art, doesn't mean it'll work well as a tattoo.
4) And for goodness sake, who wants to go to Florida and not be able to swim??? If you get a tattoo, swimming will be off-limits until it heals.

Just my two cents! There's obviously a market for it, since there's a tattoo parlor in Universal City Walk, so people can and do get tattoos on their vacations. But I wouldn't do it, personally.

princssdisnygina, it does burn and you have to put Bacitracin or Neosporin on it. At least thats what I had to do back then. I would not recommend getting it done in Florida you cannot swim or let the sun hit. I'd wait.

Make sure you go to a shop that knows what they're doing, if they're going to tattoo your feet. The skin there is different, and the artist really needs to know what they're doing. My other tattoo is below my ankle, and his tail goes out onto my foot. The guy who did it considered it a foot tattoo, because it was more on the foot than the ankle.

Oh, and get it done in JULY and not JANUARY.... it was a very high maintenence tattoo to get to heal properly because I had to wear shoes all the time!! It involved lots of ointment, and wrapping it in saran wrap. The wrap had to be changed about every 3 to 4 hours. NOT FUN! But it healed up well :)

Here's my other guy... the girls call him my Mushu dragon, even though he looks nothing like Mushu!
http://www.niftastic.net/~odathi/images/dragonredone.jpg
He was a re-do (kinda like a cover-up, but where they keep the same idea of the original image) so that's why he's got that weird bearded fringe thing. I like him 1000% better than the original dragon that was there though!

There is a down size to getting at tattoo in the summer. You cant soak it in a bath or go swimming for at least 3 weeks (individual artists will vary on this). The longer the better. You cant pick at the tattoo (by pulling the scab off you can pull the ink out of your skin, dulling it. You also have to think about the sun and keep sunscreen on it (even after its well healed too). Be sure to use tattoo ointment on it while its healing too. Ive heard Vaseline can dull it. Ive got two tattoos on my ankles. One of two dolphins in a yin-yang form, and the other an angel holding the pink breast cancer ribbon in honor of my mother who died from the disease. Had it done on her birthday, a week before the 5th anniversary of her death.

Allright, first off; not sure how many of you remember DizzKneeGeek(aka The TrashMan) and PrincessFontaine. We haven't been posting much in the last few months seeing as how we're getting ready for our first kid and all. Cleaning, preparing, decorating and working overtime takes up way more time than I had imagined. For those of you who don't know or remember us; here's a little pic.

http://a123.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/64/l_1ca3af344c45d80aa9263cb171f6717a.jpg

Now, those of you that know me didn't think I could let a tattoo thread pass by without posting in it...did you? I think not. Granted, I only have one small Disney related tattoo; but PrincessFontaine has a few. She is also planning a Princess themed full sleeve after the baby is born and I am planning a thigh piece with 'not as well known' characters. Anyway.

Here is PF's Tinkerbell tattoo. It's on her forearm and goes from her wrist to almost the crook of her elbow.

http://a261.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/47/l_6a0338d9c3be2790ad87ef047694f0c4.jpg

And here is her "Bluebird on her shoulder'. Just as the song says.

http://a508.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/19/l_75c0a1b842dcfb526bda4ef100b61f13.jpg

You know what? Come to think of it; I do have a Disney related tattoo. Seeing as how Disney Now has the Muppets. Here is my tattoo of a tweaked out Gonzo pez machine. Its right in the crook of my right arm, at the elbow. When I mover my elbow joint; it looks like he is dancing.

http://a219.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/00069/81/25/69765218_l.jpg

There you go. We love all the other Disney tattoos everybody has been posting.

And to all of our friends we used to talk to on here and especially on the Picture of the Day thread; send us a message sometime. We're to the point now where it's just waiting for the baby. So we have a bit more time these days. Sorry for the long post....as usual.

Yet to receive a tattoo... but thinking of getting one this summer... my ideal goal is in fact Disney World related...

My dad passed away when I was 11, and our most happy times were spent together in Disney World. I would like a "picture" of my dad and me holding hands (similar to the partners statue of walt and mickey) with him pointing up the Castle. The overall picture will be "cropped" into the shape of a 4 leaf clover, with his Initials in Old English writing on top, and a banner across the base of the Clover with the word "dad" and his dates. I don't want it in full detail with vibrant color. I want it mostly in dark brown lines (not black) with accent color shading (green for the clover, blue for castle aspets, etc) so that its eye catching when exposed, but doesn't "scream out" at people. If you've every watched the show Miami Ink on TLC, Kat usually does similar portrait work like what I've described. Overall the tattoo will go on my lower back.

I hope to expand it as well... creating a celtic knot in the shape of a Mickey Head for each child I have, featuring first name and DOB...

Love your tattoos!!! I love tink too! I want her showering pixie dust over my daughter's name. My dh got a really cool tattoo that has her name worked in it and I was suppose to get one too and here she is almost 7 and I still haven't gotten yet!! Good luck with the baby!!
Also in hurricane alley!!!

Dameodie--Thank you! My first was the "tribal" and DH got it on his upper arm with an ND(Notre Dame) where the hidden Mickey is on mine. I loved his and thought it would look really cool to have the Mickey head in the center.
The one on my foot I got off the internet, but there was originally another flower where the Mickey head is. I guess I have a theme going!

I also agree with the foot thing. I got mine last summer and was told not to wear a shoe for several dys if possible. I wear nothing but flip flops in the summer so that was no problem...and so far that was also the most painful tattoo for me(though I do only have two). No tears, but thank goodness for DH and the tatoo artist to keep me in good conversation...and for my high pain tolerance.

DizKneeGeek....I Do remember you from last year. I hadn't posted for several months either. Congratulations on the upcoming little one!

I love seeing everyone's tattoos!

Hey Trashman- Good to see you guys are doing well! Miss you over on the "picture of the day" thread. Hope all is well with you two and the baby. Looking forward to more of your pictures and the baby's first trip photo's! LOL ;) I know that's a long way off for you guys. Don't forget to post some pictures of her when shes born! Take care!

My husband has a number of tattoos (probably 8 or so) and has two disney ones. He ran the Disney marathon in 2005 and got one of Mickey breaking through the winning ribbon. Then he did the Goofy Challenge (1/2 one day, full the next) and of course had to get Goofy also.

You can see the Mickey one here at disneyshopping

I have a Tinkerbell and pixie dust on the outside of my left ankle and on the inside of the ankle I have three Japanese words Faith Trust and Pixie Dust (ok pixie Dust is actually luck) The good thing is a few months ago the radio station had a contest send us your chinese/Japenese tatto's and we will have a specialist come and see if they are what you think. Mine were but some of the others were not!!!

Sounds very cool - just curious, why did you choose to have this in Japanese rather than Engish (other than the writing is quite cool)? Any kind of a heritage thing?

I'm guessing that's because there is no transcription for the word "pixie" in Japanese (not even in katakana) so I guess it could have been "Faith, Trust, and <blank> Dust or Faith, Trust and Luck"...you made a good choice! :thumbsup2

What an amazing thread! I seem to spend all my time on the VMK board and missed this.. who knew? They all look awsome!

I had to contribute.. for me it had to be the Haunted Mansion. We took a few liberties with the design (the wallpaper pattern) but I think it turned out well. Got it last summer on my lower back. I love that unless you are a Mansion fan it just looks like a Victorian design, it's sort of like my secret symbol :)

I will try and post a pic. I choose Japenese oly because it is really pretty (and they had an actual dictionary where we could look it up and I am pretty sure it is correct). Plus I love when people ask me what that stands for my first respose is something naughty and they get a look on their face is priceless, then I tell them and then show Tinkerbell.

And indeed it is - and those kinds of things do add to the fun when you get people asking. But actually, I think the Tink tattoo is pretty neat anyway, because she is actually so representative of a strong female, but in an undercover way.

Mine were but some of the others were not!!!

That's what I would be worried about. My son's fiance got a tattoo of Japanese words that say "God's Strength", which is wonderful, but I couldn't do it, because I keep thinking, "How do I know that's really what it says?" I don't know Japanese, so it could say anything and I wouldn't know the difference. It could say "I'm an idiot" or "Satan worshiper" or something! LOL

I am definitely getting a second tattoo at the end of the summer. I found a mickey head that is black w/flames which I am leaning towards. I found another one that is cute but not really in the running. It's a pic of Tink dressed sorta Goth-ish with the statement "I am so not a princess" above it.
PS if you are looking for interesting design ideas, you should check out the "Disigns" thread, I think its a subforum under the "just for fun" forum. That's actually where I found the two designs I mentioned.

my boyfriend was not happy that i was getting a tattoo and mine is about the same size as yours would be. i got mine on my lower inner hip right next to where the hip meets the thigh. i wanted it somewhere where only i could see it. my boyfriend eventually got used to it and he really doesn't even notice it anymore. it's completely covered by my underwear or swimsuit.

i have a friend who got her tattoo on her inner heel. it's hardly noticeable there at all. i actually thought of that place as a possibility.

I've been looking for the exact same thing!

I started with a Hidden Mickey in a small butterfly, then in a small flower. My latest idea is a small palm tree with Hidden Mickey coconuts. I did a Google Search, and there's supposed to be one at the Disney Swan check in counter.

My search has led me here:

yeah, around where my panty line is. it's hard to describe. my tattoo is completely hidden when i'm wearing underwear (or a bikini for that matter) though so you can't tell i have one.

That is a cute idea Donna about the coconuts! I have a butterfly on my back I had done as a teenager, I kinda wanted the one on my ankle to match to some degree. Why, I don't know! That was why I was thinking flowers, maybe in the same colors as my butterfly, although it is very faded out.
