Hopefully this works.... this is the one I was talking about...
Thanks! I *love* it!!!
I want a pumpkin Mickey head on my left wrist. What do y'all think? How much does it hurt compared to a foot? I didn't think it hurt when I got it and my feet are boney. Thanks!
I have 2 on my feet and one on my wrist and the wrist was absolutely NOTHING compared to my foot. The foot, by far, was the worst.
That being said (other than the foot) I don't think any of them hurt that bad.

I went a little.... crazy.... this week, I think.
So I got the sketchy Mickey added to my back, and 2 days later, went to lunch with a girlfriend, which turned into a bottle (or 2 :rolleyes1 ) of wine, which turned into buying things at a jewelry store we didn't need, which turned into seeing someone with a tattoo on their shoulder, which turned into us going to the tattoo shop.
It started with such good intentions, with us leaving for Disney in a few weeks: "Let's meet for lunch, and figure out what we need from Target, pick up trial size stuff, make a plan, get the boys (our kids) the stuff they need...." and suddenly we're ordering another bottle of wine, buying jewelry and getting tattoos. We never made it to Target. The boys are gonna have to make do with what they got.
Anyways..... (I just took this as I sit at work... overnights this week. My co-worker is in Cancun, so we had to swap shifts. Boooooo!)

My girlfriend (drunk #2 ) got the same thing.... same place. This is hers:
http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/301351_2199957593018_1069637892_2552028_7310420_n. jpg
Neither of us necessarily want a color in there...but it doesn't feel "done". Does it look "done?" :confused3 What about shading? I can't decide.
I will say, we picked that heart out months and month ago, but just never got around to it.
Half price bottles of wine ..... :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: ;)
FTR ~ I've been friends with her since we were 15 (We're 38) so we're both a-okay with having the same tattoo, and have talked about it literally for years. She was in the delivery room, when I had my now 20 y/o son. I have another g/f who was in the room when my now 16 y/o was born. She and I also share a tattoo. If you see me deliver a child, we're getting branded with the same thing. ;)

:rotfl2: That is so funny! I LOVE it! It's beautiful! I think I would add some colour though. Maybe a dark red? Then again, it's pretty the way it is. I dunno. I'm not really good with this kind of thing. What does your tattoo artist think?

So can I just say I am in love with that tattoo:love: Love the sketchy mickey, but I also love the string of micky heads......I would love something like that around my ankle.......Fabulous tattoo!!
Thank you!

I don't think he cares. I think the 2 suburban, middle aged mom's, coming in for tattoo's amuses him.
I don't know if I want a color - but I kinda think the area's that look 'empty' maybe colored in black? :confused3 I'm not sure, but I just feel like it isn't done-looking.
And that little º in the middle? It needs to be a Mickey...let's face it. :rolleyes1

I GOT MY FIRST TATTOO YESTERDAY! Seeing all these awesome tattoos made me decide I wanted one too. It isn't much but we didn't have alot of extra money and once I was done I was glad I didn't get anything complicated because I am not sure I could have sat in that chair much longer, and it only took 15 minutes! lol Yes, IT HURT LIKE HELL!

I have one on my foot as well. I would agree 100% how much it hurts. But if you get more, atleast you know they'll all hurt a bit less than your first one.

So, after much drama with trying to find the right tattoo shop (the one that I was origionally going to go to decided to be a bunch of A-Holes) I found an awesome place with the best tattoo artist I have worked with yet and got both my Disney tattoos last night!
This is my first time getting anything in color and I'm super happy with it :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
I like that Mickey one. Looks kinda retro inspired :)

Around 50 hrs for SM, BTM has been about 13-14 so far.

Have no pic, but I have a mickey on my the right side of my lower back. I've had it for about 16 years, before I ever met my husband or had even been to the world. Guess it was prophetic, seeing as I now love the mouse even more than I did back then!

I love this! I just got a tattoo on my foot in May with the Mickey head in a design I got from a henna tattoo and then added to it to make it my own! I love that you created yourself, very original and hopefully noone steals it, LOL!

LOL!! If they steal it odds are I'll never know but they'll know everyday looking at it:thumbsup2. Love that you designed your own as well. You know how odd it is to run into someone wearing the same shirt, can you imagine how odd it would be to run into someone with the exact same tattoo:rotfl:.
I just love the way it came out and opted to add my hubby's name (known for 20 years, married for 16) and am so pleased with the way it flows with the design.

I am hoping to get my first tattoo done before my 40th birthday this winter. I actually have two designs that I want to do. The first one is a mickey based on this window decal. I want it done just as a simple black outline.

The pics were taken soon after getting it done. The balloon colors will be brighter than they appear in the pic. I got 4 balloons to represent my 4 daughters each balloon represents one of the girls and I got their favorite colors. I have decided that I will be coloring in the castle in a few weeks when I go in to get some of the balloons retouched.

Hi, I've been lurking these boards for far too long and have been following this thread for months now.
I've been trying to think up a Disney inspired tattoo and have seen some great tattoos here.
I'm a 32 year old male with a wife and 2 young children, we don't get to go to the world near as often as we'd like (maybe every 3 years) but we have major withdrawal issues while away, lol, well I guess that would mainly pertain to me.
I listen to Mouseworld radio and a lot of Disney podcast nearly everyday since our last trip in mid 2009. Yea, I've got it bad. =)
Anyways, enough about me.
I'm looking for something simplistic, maybe as simple as a mickey head, ya know the 3 circles? I am fond of the 3 circles that look as if they are scribbled, someone posted on here.
As stupid as this may read, I'd like something more masculine, maybe like a tribal designed hidden Mickey or something. I want it to be Disney and personal to me without it SCREAMING Disney, ya know?
I tried searching the web for pictures of designs that may be found at places like Aulani (Hawaiian resort) that had Mickey ear designs in them but with no luck.
I also thought about taking a few of the old school epcot symbols and making a Mickey head out of them but I don't want something that just symbolizes epcot, not that I don't love epcot it's just not really the ONLY park I like.
Hmmmmm, I'm open for ideas.
Thanks.
And I'm enjoying seeing all the cool tattoo pics. 8=)

It's been HARD to get a darn pic of this thing. These are the best I've been able to get:

As others have mentioned... Take a look at some of the Disney Pins you can find online. You might find something you like. One idea I've seen used a few times is the interlocking dragons that form the mickey shape.

I definitely agree with coloring it in, since the balloons are colored. It will look more 'finished'. :)

but I mainly quoted you to comment on your BEAUTIFUL cakes!! I especially love the Pinocchio one and the Toystory one. You are quite talented. How long have you been baking and designing cakes?
Thank you! It's just a hobby. I've been at it for about 2 years now.

As others have mentioned... Take a look at some of the Disney Pins you can find online. You might find something you like. One idea I've seen used a few times is the interlocking dragons that form the mickey shape.
I've seen that and like the design, it's just I don't have a thing for dragons. Not that I dislike dragons, they don't really mean anything to me.
I'm thinking about designing or finding some sort of design and altering it a bit of a compass rose with a hidden Mickey somewhere within the design.
Thanks for the suggestion. =)

It's been a while since I've posted here (been over a year since I signed in!!) but I thought I'd share my newest Disney tattoos...
This one is an update from a previously existing tattoo (the update done in Sept. 2010). The original tattoo was the Castle with the Mickey balloons. Let me tell you...the pixie dust cover over the ankle bone...OWIE!!!!!!! :scared1: But I think it was totally worth it!
http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x18/theatermouse/62729_442418261841_501681841_5172366_4865542_n.jpg
Then this one is my newest one (#13) done in March of this year. It was inspired by a Disney pin, but my artist & I took some liberties with the colors. :wizard: It's still meant to be Mickey, but a lot of people think it's Minnie due to the pink crown. Oops! :confused3 :thumbsup2

I've been lurking on this thread for a while now and I love all the amazing tattoos. :lovestruc
I am hoping to get my first tattoo done before my 40th birthday this winter. I actually have two designs that I want to do. The first one is a mickey based on this window decal. I want it done just as a simple black outline.
http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv21/lynnparkhurst/mickey.jpg
If I survive that one :rotfl2: I want to have a Beast done based on the logo for the Broadway show. I have not figured out exactly how I want that one to look yet though.

OK, my suggestion (yes, months later....)....Why not do a Mickey shaped radio, since you listen to the podcasts and Disney radio so much? Main head could be the radio dial, with an ear for volume, and an ear for tuning. The preset stations could be MK, E, HS, AK, etc.... The radio can be done up veery masculine looking. Just a thought....and I still like your Dis-name.

so hello dis board members I'm proud to write my first post on the board and hope to be posting a lot more.
Im planning a holliday sometime this year or next and have been a disney fan as long as i can remember.
Ive been to paris lots of times (its closest to me... I'm in uk) and USA Florida once but was the most amazing experience of my life. I will write more soon

OK, been thinking of my 2nd for a while and have decided it's between Jafar and Figment for my next one. Right now, I have Donald with a beer mug on my left arm and he needs a companion. I've had my tattoo artist draw 2 up for me. 1st is Figment, burstion out through a tear in my skin and second is Jafar with his staff filling a beer mug (kinda like a beer tap). Any opinions? :goodvibes

When I came home from doing my internship, the thing I missed most was watching Wishes! almost every single night. And so, I took my favorite lyric, "just believe" along with those Disney "shooting stars" that you see on cups and napkins and such and combine the two:

This tattoo actually inspired my tattoo, but i changed it a bit, im a Disney Geek and also miss Wishes. So i got this on my neck and only cost £20. :goodvibes

It's been a while since I posted on this thread. Somewhere back a few pages is my last tattoo of a hidden mickey made out of roses on my ankle.
In 2 hours I get off work and head over to the shop for my next tattoo. Going for the big guns this time, and the outline will be done tonight and the coloring next friday.
It will be Sorcerer Mickey shooting lightning out of his finger at Maleficent the dragon, who is shooting fire at Mickey. The lightning and the fire will collide in the middle. I got the inspiration from a "Fantasmic" button.
I am placing this on my upper left arm, as I am in a wheel chair at the parks now and nobody would see it if it was on my back!
I will be back to post pictures later!

Here is what I got so far, color will be added next week. She did not want the part where the lightning and fire meet and explode to have a black outline so that part is not there yet. It will be really cool with blue & white waves, and all the other colors added in.

What's up with guys who think they are so macho and try to make me feel like a wimp?
I have kept my new tat uncovered at work the last two days so i could keep lotion on it and not have my shirt sleeve stick to it.
One guy comes in and says "Why didn't you just have them finish it? I sat for three hours and had this done all in one sitting." Then he rolls up his sleeve and shows me a 3" cross!
I said "Dude, I have a lot of color and details to be added that is going to take at least another 3 hours and this took about 2 hours by itself."
He proceded to give me a lecture that my artist was not very good. grrr...
Another guy pretty much said the same thing.
Next time I am going to stand up, turn around, and show them my monster back brace, that keeps me from lying on the table for more than 3 hours at a time, even though it is none of their business.
Why can't they just say "Wow, that is going to be great when it is finished" ??
Maybe they just don't like Mickey or maybe the thought that a girl would get a tattoo that is better than theirs.....:rolleyes1
Thanks for listening.

Here is what I got so far, color will be added next week. She did not want the part where the lightning and fire meet and explode to have a black outline so that part is not there yet. It will be really cool with blue & white waves, and all the other colors added in.

Hey HockeyMom!! I didn't know you hung around here too!! I've been kicking around the idea of getting a tattoo too on my wrist or foot (or both), and love looking at everyone's Disney tattoos! You have to keep us up on if you get one done, we'll be comparing beads and tatts :rotfl:

Howdy! I actually just got my first tattoo on Sunday. It's the rose in the picture above.
I'm already thinking about a second one. :)
How did I miss that?!! So pretty, your artist did a great job!! I'm a D23 member, and year before last they gave us member certificates with pics on it...there's a pretty Tink I'm thinking of. I'd like a Micky swirl on my foot, and maybe a swirly carriage on my wrist. There's a design on my David Tutera cake cutter set that I really like. I need to get these scanned in to share.

Hey all! I posted on here about 8 months ago, talking about my Tinkerbell tattoo, which I did get, and I LOVE :goodvibes: And I will post a picture on here, using my nice new camera, but I always seem to remember at terrible times, say while writing an paper, or reading textbooks. However, I have a tattoo related question for you all. I applied for the Fall '12 DCP, and I am impatiently waiting to hear if I have been accepted. I have a small tattoo on my right wrist; it's a music note, not quite an inch tall, and 1/4" wide. I know all about the "Disney Look", and am well aware that if I am accepted (fingers crossed) that I will need to cover it with makeup. Does anyone have experience covering tattoos? If so, what makeup line do you recommend? Thanks!!

If you have a Sephora near you, check out the Kat Von D make up line designed specifically to cover up tattoos.
Its a little on the expensive end (at least for me since I'm a cheap *** :lmao: ) but it works awesome and if its small it wont take much to cover up.

If everything works out I'm going to get my first Disney tattoo tomorrow! I have two others, but I've been looking forward to getting a Disney one forever.
Here's the basic idea:
http://29.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lzin17n2w01qdsx91o1_400.png
It’s inspired by the Carousel of Progress, I thought it was a great sentiment and I wanted something Disney park related. It’s going on my wrist. The Mickey head in the picture is kind of a place holder for this:
http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lziq26jfpT1qckqhq.png
It’s a necklace that I bought on my first grown up trip to Disney World, the trip that changed my life. I’ve worn the necklace every day since then, almost 6 years to the day, so it seemed appropriate.

I'm not sure about using Snapfish but I know that Photobucket works. Once you upload them to Photobucket the site will give you the option of copying the image code or a clickable link. Then use the little "Insert Image" button on the DIS post (looks like a mountain with a yellow background) and then put in the code.

oh and i love all the tattoos! i sat for hours looking through them all:)
ADORABLE! I've been thinking about a tattoo for awhile (many different ones) but decide that a small mickey and minnie is the only thing I can ever commit too and these are so cute. I want to get something similar on my right shoulder with them side by side. Perhaps shaded in with black.

LOVE all these tattoos! Have gone through almost every page! The Jack Skellington Mickey is awesome!

For my recent 40th birthday my co workers got a me a very nice gift certificate to a tattoo parlor. I have been talking about getting a Disney Tat for some time now( I think they are sick of me talking about it so they decided to pay for it!) I've searched this entire thread for ideas and I am going to combine these two together to create mine - I hope you don't mind and I really do hope you give me your blessings! As soon as I get it done I will surely post pictures! Love all of the tats posted keep them coming!!!
Consider yourself blessed. ;) (P.S. ~ I'm the trailing Mickey heads, and Sketchy Mickey on the back)
Yes - be sure to post pics.

Above is my dad's tattoo. He is a Grumpy fan. He was very anti tattoo until he saw a this picture of Grumpy and a few years later decided he HAD to have this tattoo.
I am planning on getting an Alice tattoo. I am trying to lose some weight and I am about 15 pounds away from my goal. To give me some extra motivation I asked my dad if he would pay for my tattoo once I hit my goal and he agreed. I am hoping to post pics prior to my trip in October.

I love all the tattoos here...I have 3 so far ( none Disney). I really want to get a wrist tatto and was thinking about Carpe Diem. Then I saw the "there's a great big beautiful tomorrow" wrist tattoo and I love that!! Carousel of Progress has always been my favorite ride and it is still a positive quote. My concern is how big the lettering will have to be in order to be able to read it and how large it will be on my wrist (I have narrow wrists)??

Yeah, I doubt they'll be able to fit that all around your wrist, most tattoo places (really good tattoo places) wont do lettering smaller than a certain size because as time goes on, the lettering will bleed and look like a blob. But I'd still take it and see what they can do with it. If you dont mind very plain simple thin letters, they may be able to fit it! If you wanted a nice font, then probably not!

OMG this thread is 179 pages....LOL I have not read them all, just the first and last page but I'm going to look at them all for ideas. :)
Masoncoopermom, if you really want this then consider having it wrap around and above itself, it would be like a coil, it would start higher above your wrist with the "there's a great" and then it would end again next to the back of your hand with "tomorrow", "big, beautiful" would wrap around the side/back.....does that make any sense at all? lol

I'm a big chicken and probably will never get a tattoo but sure am enjoying this thread!
I had never heard of George Reiger/Disney Tattoo guy until I found this thread...I googled him and didn't see anything all that recent about him, but the last thing I found was that he had sold off his Disney collection and that he was going to get all his tats removed (to start life a new with a new love he was later reported having a domestic dispute with at WDW!). Just wondering if anyone knows if he did, in fact, get the tats removed? because wow....he was covered!

Still needs to be cleaned up a bit but it came out so much better than I imagined!!
I absolutely love this!! It's been my dream to get the castle tattooed on my shoulder left shoulder blade (right behind my heart!), but I haven't seen any I even remotely liked! My original thought is to get the castle done in black and white and made to look like a night scape with color firework bursts above each resembling an important person in my life. However, this is a fantastic alternative!

After much scouring online, my tattoo artist came up with this design for me
http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/tt261/mouseturtle/for-diana-2.jpg
Beautiful right? I just decided to change it. I had her re-design it with my son's initials (and as a friend pointed out, it can also stand for 'Magic Kingdom'!!) :earsboy:
http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/tt261/mouseturtle/mk.jpg
And let me just say, YES, yes indeed, it hurt - but sooo worth it, I love it. (the parts that look color-ish are shading that will fade)

You have enough posts to upload pics already.
What you need to do is upload your pics to a share site first. I use photobucket. Then you copy the IMG code and paste the whole thing into your post.

I think it'd be pretty wild. Any links, ideas where to check out and print pics or any comments would be great. Thanks

I love the idea!! There are a few sleves in the thread, you just kinda have to search for them! I remember one of splash mountain, and one that had just the silhouette of all of disneyworld (the one you often see at the bottom of disney websites). Good luck on getting ideas, and please post pictures when you have decided!!:artist:

I am planning on getting a tattoo of Alice in Wonderland holding a Mickey Mouse balloon. What color should the balloon be? My dad thinks blue to match the dress but I think that might be too much blue. Any suggestions or opinions?

I think red. First, it's a color that will pop against all the blue, plus Mickey has red shorts. JMO, HTH!

Agreed! Plus I think it is the most classic colored Mickey balloon there is. Either that or a pink to go with the softness of Alice's colors.

Whilst it's good to ask other peoples opinion the only question i would ask is what color do YOU want .. its going to be on your body forever so its really your opinon that counts... your tattoo artist may be able to advise on what he/she thinks will work best but ultimatley your choice good luck :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the feedback. I am pretty sure I am going to go with red. That is what my gut has been telling me but I will talk to my artist for his opinion prior to getting my tattoo. I stopped by the shop today to make my appointment and showed him the the Alice pic I want to use as a reference.
He is a very talented artist and was booked out about a month and a half so I am getting my tattoo in the middle of June. Below is a link to his portfolio. He did my dad and my brother's tattoo's and did amazing work.

Hubby and I are considering getting matching Mickey and Minnie tattoos on the back of our calves. Someone on another forum had a picture of Mickey and Minnie from the back - sitting in adirondak chairs looking at the beach. We'd love to do something like that. I'm working on drawing something similar.
I also have a 'hidden Mickey' tattoo on my neck (in my avatar) but I might get the Mickey icon filled in solid black - it's kind of hard to see him. Oh decisions decisions!!

This came out amazing! A lot of people have gotten the version the artist did of Ariel as a tattoo, and many of them were not good quality. But this is almost an exact copy of the original. Is it going to be colored in? (sorry if you already answered that)

Thanks :thumbsup2
its staying as black and shade as my skin doesn't take well to colour.. If you think this is good my wifes will astound you once its finished. It's the same tattoo but in color and closer to the original.... will post a link once its finished and posted on tim schumate's site.
