We just returned from a 9 day stay with the DDP. This was our second time using the plan and this time we managed to use ALL our credits.

I will be happy to answer any questions if I can. We LOVED the new snack options this year. There were a ton of choices including: regular size bags of chips, boxes of doughnuts, individual bowls of cereal, the list goes on and on!

We did find some discrepencies though such as at Epcot we couldn't get a Powerade drink as a snack credit but at Pop Century we could. Also, at Pop if your counter service meal (like individual sized pizza) did not come with a side dish, you could not get one without using a snack credit. However if you ordered a hamburger that came with fries, that was just one credit. Hope this makes sense!

Where can you buy these items?

Were the snack options clearly marked with the DDP label? If not, did you have to ask which items were included or did a CM just offer the info (For example, any items under $4.00 is included.)? Did you ever encounter a problem using CS, TS, or Snack credits?

There were snack options just about everywhere. The food court at Pop Century had a ton of choices but every eating place we went had items available.

We did not have any trouble using credits at all. The snack options were clearly marked in most places and if not, I just asked before I ordered.

The only two times we had a little difficulty was the Powerade drink at Epcot that I mentioned earlier. The only other time was when I asked the CM in Norway if I could use a snack credit for a caramel apple. She said yes but then charged the amount to my room. Found out after that she didn't know what the DDP was or what a snack credit was and she hadn't understood what I had asked.

Also, speaking of Epcot, there were lots of choices for snack credits in the World Showcase. I know we got frozen slushes from the "African Outpost" area as well as giant pretzels from Germany with our credit.

Were you able to get bottled water as your drink using a cs credit?

Yes, with no problems. In fact, when we were at the food court at Pop, we got bottles water to save for later and used our mugs to get drinks for the meal we were eating.

That's a great idea! Can kids get a bottled water with their meal too?

Oh, just to answer your confusion, the CS is for an entree or combo meal so when you order a pizza it is an entree so you have no side, but when you order a combo meal like burger and fries you get the side included.

Except at Pizza Planet where the pizza is part of a combo that comes with a salad and then you get your drink and dessert..

Did your party ever split up and you had a problem using the DDP for fewer people in the party?

Here is why I ask. We have the Sassagoula River Adventure scheduled for the kids one day. While they are at that, I thought we, the parents, would go eat somewhere. I heard that guests may have some problems using the DDP for a party that is not the party described on the card.

Thanks.

We were in WDW two weeks ago and had NO problem with people in the party splitting up and using the plan - worked quite well actually.

We didn't split up since it was just my daughter and I. However, there were a few times when either I wasn't hungry so I just got her a meal or she wasn't hungry so I got a meal and she nibbled on it. We never had any problems and nobody ever questioned why we were only getting one meal.

I was wondering if one person has a CS at Mexico does everyone have to get thier CS there too, or can they go somewhere else? :confused3

You can each go to where ever you want. You do not need to eat together. Not for CS or TS or snacks...

With four of us there were a numer of places where we split up, even in Cosmic Rays there are separate "bays" for different food selections. Sometimes DD and DS would go off on their own (China and Moracco) and sometimes we'd all be together. It just depended on where and what! All cards will have all credits loaded on them so it isn't difficult to separate and choose the foods you would each enjoy or better yet get an assortment of goodies from Epcot and share with everyone for a taste of this and that!

We have not had a problem splitting up. Our cards have 3 adults on them and we have ordered for 3, 2 and 1 without problem. The resorts are more accomidating than the parks we have found with snacks. We got bottled water at SSR as our CS drink and/or snack but could not get one at AK.

I agree there was a good selection of snack options including soup. This was great as a side with salad or a sandwich.
I was also able to pick up a rice krispie treat for the flight home. :Pinkbounc
