Dial-up (MSN) and DVC. What local number?

Is there is anyone who uses MSN Dial-up while at WDW, does it work ok, and do you know the access phone number that is a local call?

If not, how do you check if the access number you choose is a local call. Do you make a brief connection and then check with the front desk to verify that it is local?

I use Earthlink. The first time I planned to use it, I got all the access numbers. Then I checked with the front desk (via phone from the room) as to which were local and which were not. They were very helpful and I now have at least three numbers that I can use when we are at WDW.
