Hi, is there somewhere at the poly where you can have a quick breakfast without booking?
Thank you.

Captain Cooks or its temp alternative? don't know if Kona is open in the morning?

Kona Cafe is a table service restaurant - I have been there several times without booking (for breakfast) and never had to wait for a table.
I can recommend Kona Cafe; we have had some lovely meals there.
If you want a quicker option though, Captain Cooks will be better.

Back again :)
Here's part of my Trip Report when we went to Kona Cafe :)
We soon arrive at the Poly via the monorail and as we enter I am immediately struck by the immense themeing and level of detail here. I wonder round quite awe inspired and vow that I will stay here one day! I understand that there is criticism that this resort is very “seventies” and I suppose I can see that, but for me it all added to the appeal and the “South Seas” atmosphere.

I found the sights, sounds and smells here all extremely relaxing and it was almost enough to make me put on a grass skirt and dance. Well, maybe not quite that relaxing. Did I mention I am going to stay here some day?

I could have admired the lobby for quite some time but we didn’t have a huge amount of time so went into the Kona Café.

It is open plan here and I found this part of the appeal as I could gaze around at the artifacts and the great décor. There was a chocolate sculpture of Lilo & Stitch that probably even I could not eat a whole one of!

Ordering was not a challenge as I had long ago decided what I would have.
This was officially the best breakfast of the entire holiday. Wonderful! The Tonga Toast was lovely but somehow had less banana than I was expecting? The fruit smoothie was delicious and the fruit cup meant I could pretend at least a small part of breakfast was healthy.
