Can get RPR for $206 per night in October (APH rate). My question is, is this rate likely to go down or should I just book it now at $206?

That's a pretty good rate but I'm sure somebody will come forward with a lower rate that they paid. But you should go ahead and book it now because if the rate drops or a better deal comes along from Lowe's or AAA, you can always call and change the existing reservation. Sometimes the AAA rate is even low enough to justify joining if you aren't already a member. For me, the best deals have always been the ones that Lowe's offers, like the kind where you get a free night for staying a certain number of nights or free length of stay park tickets, so keep an eye out at their website.

Try the AAA rate, it may be lower, you can always swap onto APH rate if a better next comes out.

I am booked right now with an AAA rate for our August trip. I want to change to the APH rate. Should I rebook and cancell the original ressie or can I just call and have the rate switched?

I had an October 6 reservation at AP rate and just called to switch to lower AAA rate. Even the registration person was surprised that it was lower! Basically pays the extra $20 for a 3rd adult in the room. Same confirmation number; just a rate adjustment. Definitely worth a call!

You definitely do not want to cancel and rebook. In the time it takes to do that over the phone, somebody could grab the room you just let go and the hotel could then be full up with nothing for you to reserve. So call and have the rate switched.

I just cancelled my PBH reservation that I was holding for $247 a night AAA for October 13-16. I booked RPR same dates for $183.20 a night AAA this rate came down I was getting 204 a night last week.
I am hoping the APH rate drops and I can change it to that.

I am hoping the APH rate will drop too as at the moment I am planning on staying offsite in a vacation home. I am not paying $206 per night.
