We have a TT that we have the egg-crate cover on it. This has worked great for the past few years but now all those places that hurt on me - especially my back and hips are not so keen on camping. Taking Aleve helps but too much of that or anything else causes tummy upset after a while....geez I'm getting old I never had to worry about this before! :rotfl:
We took a weeklong trip to the beach 3 weeks ago. 2nd night we put the airmattress that we keep in case we have extra guests on top of the mattress and then the egg crate. That helped but I still could not get comfortable.
I don't want to go to the happiest place and be the crankiest person because I couldn't rest. I looked at some of the older threads but no one says what is a really good mattress to brand/type to buy. Ours is still in good shape and I've already tried some of the suggestions, but I still need a little help! Thanks!

How about an Aero bed? They are p-rice-y, but they are comfortable.
... And they inflate in a minute!!! :thumbsup2

We use a memory foam pad. This is different than the stuff most egg crate pads are made of, and OH Soooooooooooo nice!!!! :cloud9:

Aero beds are nice, but I find I get sweaty sleeping on one even with a cotton mattress pad on top of the vinyl(sp?). It may just be time for a new topper, maybe one of those memory foam ones. If you do decide its time for a new mattress just remember that most RV mattresses are not the same size as a residential one, RV queen 60x76 residential queen 60x80. I can't really help with brands I think you just have to go and try them out, if you have an RV size bed and no room for the residential size you may have to go to a mattress factory type store and have one made or check with an RV dealer.

Sleep Number bed makes an RV model. Also known as Select Comfort. I have a bad back, and this bed is the best I have ever slept on.

Price is a concern but more so is lack of sleep. I am not a happy camper when I cannot get 6 hours of sleep so I can pay now with $ or later with being cranky. I don't sleep long but I need to be comfy when I do!
I will try looking up the aero bed. I didn't realize the memory foam and egg-crate (what I have) were two different things. Will check into that and the sleep number bed suggestion as well.
We don't have a regular size bed so I appreciate knowing I'll have to order something if I go that route. Hopefully I will have some solution to this by the time we take our September trip! :Pinkbounc
Knowing me it will be multiple - I'll order a new mattress, have the memory foam on standby....heehee...but again thank you all so much for the help. Going to look now at the options!

Another vote for memory foam. On top of our rv mattress, almost like home.
