Elin, how often do you weigh yourself? I am becoming scale obsessive. 5 minutes ago, I swore at it...threatened to throw it out the window...and then pleaded with it to be my friend!! :rotfl:
I'm not Elin but I'll share what worked for me. I've read someplaces that say to only weigh yourself once a week so you don't get frustrated but that didn't work for me. I've since read another article that says to weigh yourself only once a day at the same time of the day. This way, it motivates you to stay on track. I've since heard some say this doesn't work for them but it works really well for me. Whether I'm up or down, it motivates me to be good the rest of the day.

Prayers needed! I got some extremely sad news this morning. One of my close work friends 10-day old son died in his mothers arms last night. They noticed he was lethargic yesterday and took him to the doctors. He was checked over and sent home. He stopped breathing while in his mothers arms later that night. My friend Jason called 911 and performed CPR until they arrived. Please keep Jason & Kelly in your prayers while they deal with the loss of their son.

Yes! It is a table service restaurant at MGM and one of my favorites on property. The theme is a 50s home and the servers are your extended family. Make sure you eat your veggies though if you want dessert. You might find "Uncle Bob" "airplane-ing" them into our mouth. And no elbows on the table. It is a lot of fun and the food is delicious.

S'mores are a campfire treat...a toasted marshmallow sandwiched between a graham cracker with a piece of chocolate on top of the bottom graham cracker. YUMMY! They are named, because people say, "I want some more," which said quickly becomes s'more.

Toasted marshmallows - yes - Graham crackers... not so sure about those... what do they taste like, we don't have them over here?

Wow - an explanation with pictures! Thanks Tia... might have to try one of those... We've never been to the Prime Time. Can you go in just for dessert?
YUMMMY!!!! That's what they are!
1. Roast a marshmallow over a fire (or use the kitchen stove like I do at home).
2. Have ready a square of graham cracker with a piece of chocolate on it.
3. Put roasted marshmallow on top of the chocolate.
4. Top with a second graham cracker square to form a sandwhich
5. Enjoy your messy treat!
OR
Go to 50's Prime Time Cafe at MGM and order the desert. Slightly different presentation, same great taste.

Graham crackers are crisp and flat like a cracker but are actually more of a cookie in taste. I'm trying to think how to describe them...sweet but not really sweet.

You have similar things I know it!!! Let me rack my brain and I will think of it.
You so need to go to Primetime and have a Smore's dessert my friend.
At the ball game on Saturday we had a family right behind us from your neck of the woods. Made me think of you!!!! I decided you must sound just like the aunt of the group.

Thank heaven for the swing! Now for the real question: Is the swing in front of the TV so he can get hooked on Disney channel from a young age?
LOL, no the swing was in the kitchen with me, but...
NOW THE SWING ISN'T WORKING!!!!!! :furious:
And, I know it's not the batteries, because I just replaced them yesterday and the stupid music is working just fine.
Grrrr...we've had to replace things left and right around here. First the microwave, then new new brakes on the car, now this.
Keep your fingers crossed that if I take the darn thing apart and put it back together that it'll suddenly work again, please!!!

Vicki-
Do we know yet what Minnie's colors are going to be for the Wedding? I think the girls want to do the bands in the colors of the wedding or should we just surprise you?
Kristine, Minnie is not a loose mouse. Minnie is wearing a white wedding dress but her colors are green & burgundy. I'll post pictures of her going away outfit on the main thread later today. And for Jennifer, I'll start the wedding thread.

The jam is working so I'm catching up.
The paprika chicken was ok, but I'm thinking it would have been better with sour cream. I may have to experiment with it for a while before I post a decent recipe!

Ok I was too tired to post this last night but...
what on earth are smores???? :confused3
I'm sure someone has answered this, but here's my answer. To make a smore: toast one marshmallow over an open flame until golden brown and gooey. Place half a Hershey bar on half a graham cracker. Place the marshmallow on top of the chocolate and top with other half of the graham cracker. Press down and let the heat of the marshmallow melt the chocolate. Eat! Enjoy!
There are all kinds of variations on this. My favorites: Use nutella instead of a Hershey bar, or spread raspberry jam on one of the graham crackers and chocolate on the other. Another one is to use Reese's peanut butter cups instead of the Hershey's bar. You can also use chocolate chips if you want them to melt better.
This last camping trip we took a cast iron skillet, broke graham crackers into uneven pieces and put them in the bottom of the skillet. Then we sprinkled the crackers with mini marshmallow, chocolate chips and nuts (we used pecans). Then we put the skillet close to the fire (but not in it), and let it get all melty and yummy. Then we served our S'more Nachos! DH got the idea from the Food Network's Ham on the Street! It was so good!!!!
