I seem to recall seeing a post that someone had used points for a suite at one of the DL hotels, but that the suite did not include concierge service. Are DL suites generally not concierge (I think most a WDW are)? Can you "add-on" concierge service to a suite reservation? If so, must this be done with cash, or can you do it all with points? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!!!

I recently stayed at the DL Hotel Concierge but did not use points. We did not have a suite. The suites are in a different tower than the Sierra tower which is where the concierge lounge is. The room we had was very large- we had a fridge and a big king bed with a pullout if you need one. I dont know about the suites in the other 2 hotels (Paradise Pier and Grand Californian)

We stayed in a 2BR suite at the Disneyland Hotel in February, with 4 adults and 3 kids. It was in the Marina Tower with a nice pool view. We did not include concierge service with it. I think it was $125/night for concierge but you would have to check with Disneyland reservations to verify this.

We were told that there were suites in each of the 3 towers, including the Sierra Tower, where the conceirge lounge is located, but there is no guarantee you will be assigned to a suite in that Tower. I recall being told that I could upgrade to concierge at check-in, so I figured I might do so if we were assigned a room in the Sierra Tower.

We didn't use points, although the rates in 2006 for Value Season for a points reservation for a Fri & Sat night seemed to be reasonable: roughly comparable to $10 per point. Since we didn't have any extra points burning a hole in our pocket, we did a AAA package instead to get the enhanced fastpass option.

Best of luck -- Suzanne
