Hi Everyone!

I will be at RPR (Club Level) in less than a week. :woohoo:
Here's my question.....weird as it is.........

I have had a cough for over six months. I've been to a pulmonologists (sp?), regular physician and an ENT. No one can figure out why I'm coughing. My next doctor is going to be an allergist BUT in the meanwhile I mentioned to the pulmonologist that my basement is very damp and maybe there is mold/mildew under the carpeting?????
He was going to start me on a different antibiotic but when I told him I was going away, he said to wait. We want to see if being away from my house (being away from possible mildew/mold) for a week may bring a change?????

My question is I have read different posts and occassionally there are posts about rooms that have mildew/mold issues. So, if I get placed in a room like this...well I guess my mysterious cough experiment will not work...Know what I mean????

So, what should I do???? If you say to call RPR...do you have the proper number to call for room requests????
Any advice is truly appreciated!!!

My advice is to wait till you check in, inspect the room, and if you find mold, kindly request a move. I've stayed in a half dozen different rooms on RPR Club, and have never had that problem. Have a great trip. :)

If there is mold or mildew I would immediately request a new room. This shouldnt be an issue at all, anyone should request a new room if theres mold. However that being said....I have never seen any mold, mildew or anything questionable in the rooms at Universal. I would think this is extremely rare. People tend to post bad experiences at a much higher rate than good experiences. I would quickly check the room when you get there...and if theres any problem insist on a room change immediately.

I have also had many stays at all three Loews Universal resorts and never once did I find mold. Since myself and one child has a mold allergy I always look carefully and judge by how we feel as well.

As an aside my sister has been coughing for over two - three months and just last week finally discovered a mold sensitivity. I hope you are able to get to the bottom of it soon, I know how annoying it is when you have insistent coughing.

I hope you have a great trip and find you are cough free there! :)

And (pet lovers please don't flame me for this :bitelip: ) I would make sure you're not in tower 2 where the people with pets stay. After all it could be some kind of allergy

Also, try to arrive early. We got to HRH later than we had hoped last Sunday. They had our reservation wrong & put us in the last room available to partially fit our needs. It wouldn't have been my choice of room, but there was nowhere to move to.
