Hermosa Beach to LAX?

Hi Californians! We're staying in Hermosa Beach for a few days after our DL vacation. What's the best way to get to LAX? I'm wondering if there are side streets to take that would be faster instead of taking the freeway, since it's so close. Or, maybe it still will be faster to take the freeway :)

As a resident of Hermosa Beach...

You can take PCH which turns into Sepulveda going North. Then under the run way and take the exit on the right. Follow signs for which airline.

About a 10 minute drive..
Taking the freeway would be way far out of the way..

If you get a chance, be sure to have dinner on the Redondo Beach Pier. I really like Tony's Fishmarket, as you get a nice view of the sea, beach, Palos Verdes, Catalina Island (on a good day), and the setting sun (if you time it right). They also have a nice little shop there where you can get a pearl from an oyster & have it mounted if you like.

Rapunzel, thanks for the info! and for the driving time - that is very useful info (especially since we tend to be running late anyway lol).

MaryJo, I'll see if we can make it over there - that sounds like a cool place! I've only been to the Santa Monica pier - that was a lot of fun too.

We live five minutes from Hermosa Beach (and can walk to the Redondo Beach pier). Rapunzel offers sound advice.

See the tall Condo Building? That was OUR spot to sunbath and enjoy the water both times we went to visit.... sooooo much fun!!!
