As August nears and I can't find the first thread started with everyone's dates, who will be in the World in August and what dates? Who will you be travelling with?
I will be there at the World Aug 12-18, for 6 nights, with my 17 yr old son and maybe his GF.

Where are you staying?

DS14 & I will be at the VWL 5nights (8/12-17) before switching to AKL for 3nights (8/17-20). DH joins us on our last night at AKL. We're then all switching over to BCV for 6nights (8/20-26).

We are in the Contemporary Tower for 6 nights, we actually arrive on the 10th and going to be at the Royal Pacific in Universal for 2 nights then over to the Contemporary. :wave2:

Hi John, are you getting as excited as I am at the closeness of it? We are going to my parents house for a week before in south FL then "stopping" by Disney on the way home....woohoooo!!!!!

You bet I am! I am so excited about it. I still have a couple things left to do. (like make a reservation for my son to go surfing at Typhoon Lagoon). There has been so much going on at home (most of it good!) I am looking forward to a little R and R. I just hope I can keep myself from going comando like I have the last 2 trips! Its going to be great fun trying all the sit down restaurants. Isnt the dining plan great!

I actually don't do the dining plan, it's cheaper for me to book my room rate then do my own payin for food. I get a travel agent rate, alot of time its nearly half off the regular rate so that for me is a huge savings and I can stay at my favorite resort and splurge. I have ressies at a few places this time, like our favorites LeCellier, Ohana,Alfredos,Chefs de France,RFC at AKingdom, and we are trying 50s Prime time diner for the first time too, then we do the counter services of Columbia Harbor house, Tusker House in AK, the pizza place outside tower of terror and Pinocchio Haus in MK. Breakfasts we sometimes eat, sometimes not so it's easier to just wing that meal of the day!

I probably would not have done the dining plan but we got in on the free promo!
Im looking forward to trying all the TS restaurants

I will actually be staying on property for the first time in several years. I am attending a convention at the Croonado Springs from the 8th thru the 13th.

And then on the 13th a cousin of mine and her 13yo son will be staying at AKL until the 17th, so I will be with them a lot.

Can I ask about the conference
A neighbors husband (funeral director) also needs to go for a conference 8/12-18 so the family (wife, 2 daughters) is going along too. They're staying at the swan.

I'll be at OKW July 30 and 31, then move over to BWV August 1-7. I can't wait!
