Changing dates of Discovery Cove visit?

I'm planning on visiting Discovery Cove in September, but haven't booked anything yet. I always worry 'what if I get sick'. So what if? The cancellation policies are pretty severe. You can change your visit once, though. Would they accept changing to next year in September too, considering I go to Orlando maximum once a year? And what if you change it first to an other date and then cancel more than 30 days in advance, will they refund 100%?

Here's what the website says:


Canceling a reservation
A full refund will be given if your visit is more than 30 days away.
A 50% refund of your reservation total will be made if between 15 - 29 days of your visit.
A 25% refund of your reservation total will be made if between 8 - 14 days of your visit.
Because of the unique nature of Discovery Cove's reservations-only format, no refunds or cancellations can be made within 7 days of your visit.

My 10 year old son suffer from a two chronic, life threatening illnesses. I explained this to Discovery Cove. I was worried about him getting sick and then losing all this money. Discovery cove told me not to worry in circumstances such as illness, they will do their best to rebook ! Hope this helps

Thanks for posting this. I have a son currently in remission from Cancer, his future is uncertain and things can change at any moment. I've been putting off booking DC, due to the cancellation policy.
