How long will it take DH and DD to get from Heathrow to Glasgow by bus? They are flying from Rochester to JFK and then JFK to Heathrow then boarding a bus to go to Glasgow. This was a recent change (last night) can anyone tell me how long it is going to take them by bus to get there???? Thanks.

i just put it into a route map for you and it said from gatwick airport to glas gow it would take about 7 hours.

sorry just realised it was heathrow your getting the bus from...it was will take about 6 1/2 hours. sorry didnt read the message properly

That sounds about right, As its at night i would say around 7 hours as coaches tend to travel a bit slower!

The national express takes 9hrs and 10mins when you leave at10:40 change at birmingham and arrive at 19:50 - if they are taking this option please be aware that there are no refreshments for sale on the bus - stock up loads before you leave

Also it depends on the time they are making the journey, as it will almost certainly include an M25 stretch which can add on an extra hour or 2 if the traffic is bad.

Oh my goodness!!! The girls are flying out of Rochester to JFk then on to Heathrow...from Heathrow they are going to take a bus ( a charter) to Glascow. They are going to be riding forever!!!!! The company added this at the last minute....hmmmm I think it is going to be a long night for the girls and their chaperones! Thanks for the info.
