Hi Patsy and Nancy!
We don't do the trip at once, it's to NJ, to MA, back to NJ, then home to Ohio. At least one nights stay between each leg. It works! Our youngest son is bringing a gal "home" for Christmas, his first time ever...from New Orleans, both of them. We all can't wait to meet her.
Nancy, I wish the flights were co-ordinated better for your airport shuttle!
Bobbi :)

Bringing a gal home huh.
So what type of girl do you want your son to be with?
My husband doesn't want my daughter to date until she is OLD :rotfl: no boys allowed around the house :lmao: .
Meriweather

Always "interesting" when they bring someone home for the first time. ;)
Better coordination would have been good.
DD didn't decide to fly home until Thanksgiving ...because of the big snow storm. Glad she is now because it is going to snow a LOT in the mountains tonight and tomorrow.
She doesn't get to stay long because of work, so she is coming before DS and then leaves Tues.
But then she is coming back the 4th for a test she has to take at one of the universities  and so, that is why all the trips to the airport.

Oh well, parents do what they have to do!!!
This DS is 29, and has bought his first home, a condo, in New Orleans. Tonight he called and said that he and Mimi will each bring an extra "extra large" suitcase, so could we please bring some stuff that he still has at home, so he can stuff whatever he can into the suitcases. DH is an absolute rock for me, he helped organize DH's stuff, including a huge hammock, hand crafted in Venezuela for our DS when he worked there, and so tomorrow, we'll get everything we can in our rented van. I hope we'll get it all in, including our 2 dogs who get to go on this vacation with us. Believe me, we have organized way more than can be fit into 2 even humongous sized suitcases! I sure hope we remember to take OUR stuff, and presents. I'm the "worrier" DH says it's all going to come together. :thumbsup2

Hello!! Merry Christmas Everyone!!!! We had a great morning watching the kids open their gifts. Yesterday we spent the day going from my nieces house, DH's Grandparents, His Parents, My Parents, then my sister's house!! We aren't going anywhere today!! My parents came up to see what the kids got. The rest of the day it's just us. I really like it that way. No Christmas Day stress!
So Anyone get anything good??? Last Wed DH stole my pearl I got in Disney and took it to a jewelry for a proper chain. I went crazy looking for it. I was almost in tears, I thought I had lost it!! That stinker! He gave it to me Saturday night because he knew I wanted to wear it yesterday..and because I was going to start tearing up the house to look for it!! :rotfl:

I can't get the smiles to work right now either. It was working this morning :(.
Also, when I send pms, it used to give us options of if we want the message tracked or not....but it just goes through once you hit send. :(
Hope your sons MRI reports come out like you hoped it would.
We opened our Christmas presents and I really don't know where all the toys and such are going.

Patsy, you have to check the option one to track the message. It is an option in the list at the bottom with saving, etc.

I have so many things from the exchanges that I participate in, as well as gifts and such that I buy to stock up on. I'm glad that we had cleaned out my storage room to make room for Christmas gifts and such.
I had to finish up on Christmas thank you cards, cook dinner, and also trying to put together my New Years menu. What is everyone else having for New Years?

Sorry I have been scarce. Still have company, so it makes it hard to get online.
We had a good Christmas.
We aren't doing anything for NYE or day. Staying home, watching movies, etc.
DS and DDIL have a NYE party to go to, so they will probably sleep most of NY day.
I need to start packing soon, but hard to do that with company around.
ADisneygirl
12-29-2006, 01:38 PM
I've had company up until yesterday when I drove my Mom home. 6 hours of driving yesterday -- blech. I even had driving dreams last night!
My daughter and her boyfriend went home too - to Jacksonville. Gosh, I miss her already. Seems like only yesterday we were setting her up in the dorm and now 4 years have flown by and she has graduated and moved on.
No big plans for NYE. No parties. Just a quiet night in I guess. I didn't have a lot of time to DIS, but when the boards were down for a few days I tried to get on and was so disappointed! Glad they are back and now I have some time.

I've been spending the day un-decorating:sad1: I have to do a little at a time, I have tendonitis in my Achilles tendon..at least that's what I think. All I know is I can barely walk and it hurts something AWFUL!! My mother's family has this superstition about 2 tress in one year - so I gotta get my tree down before New Years.:sad2:
We have no big New Year's plans. I plan on having a whole bunch of finger foods -chicken strips, little pizzas, etc. Just me, Dh and the kids.

Happy Belated Birthday, Bobbi!
Anyone else need a vacation after the holidays?
It's been a long month. DS11 fell at school--straigh onto his wrist. After xrays, and an MRI we found out today he bruised the bones. The dr says it would have been easier to treat/heal if he had actually broken it.
I had my 94 yr old grandfather with us for a week after Xmas. I love him so much, but it gets harder each time.
And DH just called to say he's stuck at the airport in Charlotte. :sad1:

Ouch! I have to agree with that though- I bruised the bones across the top of my foot when I was 8. It took something like 6 weeks for the pain to go away, but then it would flare up about every other month or so for the next 3 years or whenever I would be too active and put more stress than normal on my foot! PE classes were loads of fun with that problem :sad2:

We haven't really had a winter yet, so I don't know what to think about this year! It's been really warm for us--40-50's, even 70 last week! I'm sure we'll get hit with snow in April just to even it all out. :goodvibes The boys have been really disappointed...I'm loving it.

In a normal year we only have bad weather from mid January to late February. We usually need to mow our lawns in march (but sometimes it is too wet).

Great to know. I guess this was a trick question to my next upcoming exchange. The Spring/Easter exchange. I have already seen Easter items being sold in stores here, but will be hosting it in mid/late Feb-or at the very beginning of March so hope many of you join us for it.
Even if you don't celebrate Easter, you can just ask for Spring related things. :)

There were Spring/Easter and Valentines day things out before Xmas in the Joanne's near my house... Let me tell you, it was annoying. Sheesh, but that just means it'll be clearanced all that much sooner.
I was just sitting here with a cup that I got in an exchange and thought.. "How many of us use the things we get regularly?" This one cup, I don't remember who I got it from, It was probably Mommytotwo or Kirby, but I use it all the time, and smile. Ian, of course thinks it's tacky. (It's a tink cappuchino mug) Phooey on him.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm exhausted from fighting whatever bug I have. Thought it was Bronchitis, but now it might be the flu as I ache something terrible, as well as being exhausted from doing a history write up for my park as part of the WPASADI challenge. Wheee! I know more about that park than I ever needed to or wanted to do.. I even got to "Predict" the future.

How is everyone?? It's quiet on here today. I had a rough night, my DS woke me up at 2am to tell me he threw up all over his room:eek: So that was fun. I had just fallen asleep, I think I got 4 hours of sleep last night. Then DD14 was crying in pain with cramps...it was just such fun. The bright side is that my mom came up to sit with my older 2 and just DD8 and I went food shopping. We had fun! I never get to do stuff with just her.
So how is everyone out in exchange land?????

I am trying to figure out both recipe exchanges, but it is driving me nuts and I am    . I don't think I will be doing another one of those in the future. The regular exchanges seem easier to put together, even thought the recipes are just recipes in an envelope  .

It's been a rough week for me. My grandfather passed away on Friday. He was 94 and had a wonderful life, and had just spent a week with us after Christmas. But it still makes me sad. He lived with my aunt (his DIL--long story) and she is being ugly and greedy and it's making it so much harder. They already took all his money when he went to live with them, but it's not enough apparently.
I tried to type that in a few times since then, but it sounded too pitiful. Hope I did better this time.
So, who's got a funny story that will make me laugh now? :goodvibes
I'm ready for a spring exchange!

I just came back from a quick run to my local mall, and the Yankee Candle Store is closing on the 31st! :sad1: It seems that the current mall management team is anti-scent, anti-candle because they refused to renew the leases of all the candle stores in the mall. I am cleaning up the house today, getting things done in the garden, and also going to bake peanut butter cookies with peanut butter cups in the middle with my daughter.

I had alot of errands today. Finally bought the material to make this really cute ladybug fleece blanket/throw for my niece's birthday.
I plant herbs in the back every year, and DS11 plants milkweed so that he can get monarch caterpillars. (there is a monarch watch program where you tag the butterflies and they are tracked to follow migration patterns. You can see where yours have been found!) That's the extent of my garndening!
I had a big garden at our old house, but here among all the Amish farms that sell their produce it doesn't make sense to have one.

PS. About gardening! I don't do as much as I once did. Since I also spend part of my summer in Cape May NJ, I don't have time to care for my home garden. I wish you could too! Blueberries are a bit harder in my opinioin. You need acid soil and for me, the trick was getting them ripe before the robins just came and ate them. Even if the berry was mostly green, but just the hint of a bit of blue, the robins figured, Done! I finally gave up. I travel to New Jersey in the summer, and I know there are other states that grow blueberries, NJ Blueberries are the best IMHO!

Wow, that is alot of planting. But at the same time, they should have alot of fun harvesting their goodies :).
My dad planted lima beans and my daughter likes to pick them and help him take the beans out of the pod.
This afternoon, my daughter and I had planted sunflowers, pansies, and two other types of flowers :).
Hopefully they will grow. For us the flowers and bulbs are a hit and miss thing compared to the veggies.

Hi Patsy, I was just wondering how you find life with your two children? I always thought that 1 was as easy as pie, (more or less) but it became more hectic in many ways with 2. And you have Blackie, I didn't get a dog until much later. By the way, I'm a DGM now, so I mostly admire the DGC from afar and have great fun with them!
Bobbi:goodvibes
PS. I don't mean to only address Patsy, we just said hi over on the games board. Really, how is it raising little ones these days? One thing, you have lots more gear, some required, than we did have in the '70s!

Hi Bobbi,
I am very fortunate to have my parents always helping us. Especially when I have my stepson here as well, that means I have 3 kids to take care of  . I am also a SAHM, so that really helps.
My daughter likes to go into the garden and bake with me, so we do those things together :), and she likes to do projects, so I try to find her different things that she can do for different holidays. So if anyone has any ideas, feel free to send them my way :goodvibes .
I wonder how old I will be when we first see our first grandkids. I hope not anytime soon. :rotfl:

But watch it, time does fly!;)
Well, today is groundhog day, and I don't know officially, but if he were in my back yard this morning, he wouldn't have seen his shadow...so I'm wishing for an early spring!

I just turned on the news! I can't believe what has happened in Florida overnight!! I feel so bad for those people. My thoughts and prayers are with them. Tornadoes are bad enough but when they happen while people are sleeping it makes it even worse.
I hope all our Disers are ok!pixiedust:

Ok so last night DH and I took our kids to see Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance. My DDs are Irish dancers and they have been looking forward to this for months. Besides a minor detour in Philly (AKA:we got lost!) we had a blast. We got to meet the dancers and got pictures and autographs, then we got to tour their tour bus (it's amazing what happens when you ask!!). We met the promoter and he loved my kids, especially my youngest. He even gave her a stuffed animal.
So flash forward to about 30 mins later..we are headed home driving down the interstate. Doing about 65-70mph (NOTE: the speed limit on this road is 65) when out of no where and I mean no where..poof there is a huge deer and BANG we slam right into it!! At that same instant the two front air bags deployed..only DH is still driving...with the air bag in his face. The deer didn't stop us so we still had to navigate to the shoulder. For those of you that don't know..when your air bag deploys it releases smoke and a VERY smelly gas.
So the kids are screaming. I'm yelling "Are you guys alright !! Put the windows down!!" It was not fun! But Thank God we were all ok. DH's hand is bruised from the air bag. The kids are all shook up but fine. I got the worst of it. I inhaled alot of the fumes from the air bag and my throat and chest hurt still. Plus I was already suffering from 3 herniated discs so you can imagine my soreness today!
The truck is pretty much totalled. We don't have the official word yet but we slammed that deer on it's broad side. It had to be put on a roll back. I'm glad we were in a truck, had we been in a car I wouldn't be typing this today! They people behind us in the other lane pulled over. They said it looked like something out of a dream the deer just stepped out and stood there like "Hit Me!". We waited 45 mins for the police!! That really stunk because we had to leave the windows down with the engine off..it was FREEZING!!!!! My parents had to drive an hour and 45 mins to pick us up.
I'm just so thankful that everyone was ok. It could have been worse.
BUT..to top it off..this morning I was coming in from getting the mail and noticed someone paintball-d my house last night. It had to have happened before we got home. So I had my second chat with a Nj state trooper in less than 24 hours!!
I think I need to go back to bed!!! Sorry this is so long! I just needed to vent!!
Thanks for "listening"!

Oh, how scary! I hit a deer once, but was only going 25-30 mph. That was bad enough.
I hope you all recover from the shock. I'm sure it will be awhile until you drive with some of your old confidence. 2 years later, I'm still wary of roads with deer in the vicinity. Were you on the AC Expressway? There are so many deer along that highway, I just wish we had a sane/humane way of dealing with their population.

My kids are still really shook up. My DS12 asked me when will he ever stop thinking about it. My DD8 said "I don't know why mom but I'm still really scared and upset.". So yeah it will be a while I think. This was a first for all of them.
Were you on the AC Expressway?
Bobbi
We were on Route 55, sort of the bay side "parkway". I know what you mean about the Expressway though. Lots of deer there too. Actually there are lots of deer everywhere in South Jersey.
Thanks again for your concern! I really appreciate it!

So glad you appear to be no physically worse from the wear from the car wreck!
I swear by deer whistlers. I know many are not sure they work. But DH and I use to drive long, dark, narrow county roads to get to college and back (lower MI). With the deer whistlers we both noticed deer and other animals stop and wait by the side of the road.
In January 2006 an elder man made a left turn directly in front of me with his (new) car. I t-boned his car. (And I was going maybe 35 mph.)
My air bags deployed. And of course my vehicle's front end was shot too.
His insurance company totalled my vehicle without any delay due to my vehicles's airbags deployment and my selt belts locked up. (I was the only one in my vehicle.)
We were told those two systems alone are very expensive to be replaced. And they have to be replaced and not just fixed. Otherwise insurance companies will not cover the repaired vehicle.
So your vehicle may well be totalled due to the airbags too.
Good luck! I know the aftermath is a mess too!! :dance3:

Thanks Patsy:) We spent some of the day at the mall. Thankfully we can all fit in my DH's work truck-boy is that a bumpy ride!) My son's birthday is Saturday so we let him go to the skateboard shop and get a new board for his Bday.
Then DH took us all out to dinner. He said we needed it! It was nice. We told the waitress at restaurant about DS Bday and she brought him/us an AWESOME dessert. Some chocolate cake with ice cream and whip cream concoction. It was so good!!

Yum, that sounds like a delicious dessert. After dinner tonight, we had gone to Krispy Kremes and we had gotten donuts, yummy we had gotten some freshly made ones and it was so good that it melted in our mouths.
Superbowl was okay. We had gone to my husband's friends house and there were a bunch of people who had gone over. I didn't place a bet on the game, but I should have since I picked the winning team :(. I didn't even win the block that was being done at the house :( :(. So, for most of the game, my daughter and I had gone shopping.
We had gotten an upgrade for our rental here in Vegas, so we have a Tahoe :). It is nice since we can fit 9 of us in there.
Hope to chat with you all again soon.
We are going to see if Kevin and I can get out for a bit tonight while my BIL and his wife watches the kids. I am actually ready to go out, but since my daughter said that she would stay with them, I want to see how that goes since she hasn't stayed with anyone else except me during the night.
I better go rescue my husband from Brandon since he is now tired and crying :lmao: .

Kimbac3 ~ so glad that everyone was ok. I am lucky to say that the airbags have never deployed in my car, knock on wood. I hope to never see it happen. I didn't know a gas was released. That would be terrible for my asthma, but I guess better than the alternative.
It is a little chilly here tonight in Florida. Not bad though. I am thankful that we were not in the path of those tornadoes. How terrible for those people. Nothing to warn them, even if they had weather band radios, who has them going at night while you sleep? The state needs an alarm system to alert residents. We have no basements to hide in, but I'd still like a warning to crouch down in my walk in closet and hide.

Hi Everyone.
Nancy, not sure if you will read this, but decided to post here to your question about how my trip was.
It was a busy trip since we were doing this and that. We had visited many family and friends, went to my husband's cousin's housewarming party, we had gone up to the mountain to see the snow, shopping.... it was nice to have the kids see their cousins.
Brandon now has two bottom teeth and it really bothers him during the nights. He is also really big now. He wears 6-9 month clothes and up. I have him in a Gymboree onsie that is 18-24 months :scared1: .

DH is gone for the week, and the snow pact with our neighbor is he can use our snow blower if he does our driveway, too. ;) It worked pretty well on what was there, surprisingly, and I just shovelled away the last inch of slush.
The kids are outside sledding--huge hill behind our house. There is normally a step down to our patio---but the ice has formed all the way up so the dog just walks straight out!:goodvibes

It was a little slippery here this morning but now we have black roads. Some roads still need to be pushed back a little bit.
Lucky for us the farmer who plows for us also fills in for the township, when needed. He will plow the road from his house to the snow emergency road and then plow from his house to our house and then our driveway. We both live on the same street. All of that for only $60. BTW our driveway is 500 feet long.

John talked to the guy who will plow the driveway once he can get to us (road needs to be done first), and he was working on his plow as it was broke.
Everthing is a solid mass of ice now and its so thick that everyone is breaking their equipment. Who knows when we will be plowed out.

We don't but many people do.

Yes but only for a day or two.
*What goes on with the newspaper, mail delivery....?
We did not get our mail yesterday but it did come today. It the paper did not arrive, you just call in and they give you credit back for paper. Most times the paper just arrives late after the roads are plowed.
*Since you aren't able to go to work....what happens-I am assuming you don't get paid during those days.
I don't get paid, but some companies will pay you if the state is in a state of emergency (only allowed to be on the road for emergencies or for needed jobs) or the facility is closed.
BTW I just saw on the news that I78 is stopped and has a 50 mile back up due to it.

After the storms we had here in CO this past Christmas we certainly do- Milk, eggs, bread, and whatever can be cooked on a BBQ grill! We were housebound for 2 days or so and when we were finally able to get to the store, there was no milk to be found anywhere! Took almost a month for the dairies to be able to resume their normal delivery schedules, so in that time stores would only get in like 10-15 gallons of milk and they would be gone in 20 minutes after opening. That stuff was way more popular than any gaming system console released at Christmas, lol! :rotfl2:
At least this time we did not lose our power so we could still cook stuff on the stove or in the oven, but in the storm of 2003 we did lose power for a day and a half...we did not yet have a BBQ grill yet so we could cook nothing hot, we were freezing, and completely enviously drooling when we looked out off our back deck and saw the neighbors behind us cooking up these nice big fat steaks, lol! Now we always have meats on hand for grilling just in case, and that grill is one of our best purchases ever! ;)

Well, it doesn't happen to us often....we are not in a big snow part of the state. Usually no more than an inch or 2 a couple times in the winter, but as you remember, we did get hit hard in Dec.
And we did lose the power twice this winter for 50 hours and then for 39 hours. Not fun! We have electric heat
We do not stock up because we usually don't know.....snow anyway.
We always have water around and also use our propane grill which has a side burner.
We could not get out of the house this time. 14" of snow. The main roads got done pretty quickly, but not our long driveway....about 1/3 mile.
We had no mail delivery for one day and no newspaper for 3 days....not sure why on that.
My DH can work from home to some extent, but he would get paid anyway as he is salaried.

Hi!
Cincinnati, where I work, got lots more ice than we got up here, just 30 miles north. School was closed on Tuesday, and even today, there just about all of the trees are loaded with ice...it's very pretty as they glisten in the sun, but it's very dangerous. Lots of tree and probably home damage. Stores were very crowded on the weekend, people knew this storm was coming!
Dayton Power and Light has been very good...since we moved here 14 years ago, there hasn't been many times that we've lost electricity, and never for an extended period of time. We have been very fortunate.
I only work on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So far, my Tuesday night class has had 2 classes cancelled due to weather. We only had 9 + 1 exam night scheduled. Needless to say, I'm behind in the class work! I teach at the University of Cincinnati!
I'm glad to read that you did have a busy, fun vacation, Patsy. You mentioned going to see snow...where..I think you also mentioned Krispy Kreme donuts and Las Vegas!

When it snows, or is expected to snow, everyone runs to the store here to buy what my friend calls "french toast ingredients" : bread, milk and eggs! The shelves are empty!
I have 3 little boys, so I do make sure I have an extra gallon of milk. I think we could live for a week off what's stuffed in my pantry, but this time I made sure I had lunch meat, too. With DH out of town during the week, I'd rather have it and not need it, than be stuck....

This is what most big cities do. Buffalo, NY dumps the snow in the same lake it came out of.
I did not know that you lived in the City of Lancaster. We are just south of you. We had to drive through the city yesterday to get my staples out and boy were the streets horrible. I think around the city here, they dump the plowed snow into the river. Just nowhere to put it all.
As for me, my car is iced in today. When the storm came through Wednesday I got it out, cleaned it off, no problems. Yesterday DH took DS to school and I walked to pick him up (took about 45 minutes to walk about 3 blocks to get him since people have not dug out their sidewalks and the intersection areas are like big slushes several feet out from the curb. UGH!!! Not fun to try to haul a stroller through all of that.
I am really hoping for alot of sunshine this morning so I can try to get my car out while DD is down for her nap. I am still trying to figure out about getting DS home this afternoon.
PLEASE send some sunshine and warmer temperatures this way. I want to be able to get out today.

I have never been in a snow or snow storm situation, so here is some questions that I have been wondering about.
*Do you stock up any any type of particular food or drinks?
If it's a big one, mostly canned foods/perishables (beans, ravvioli, pasta) we can warm up on our camping stove- in case the power goes out.
*Was there ever a time that you were not able to leave your house?
No, we have a covered porch and storm doors so the only snow we usually get right in front of the house is a thin layer. Under the covered part is an enterance to the garage, so from there we can get into the car or get a shovel.
*What goes on with the newspaper, mail delivery....?
Most of the time it is postponed until they can get the roads cleared.
*Since you aren't able to go to work....what happens-I am assuming you don't get paid during those days.
It depends on the job you have.

We did a rainbow exchange quite a while ago as part of the first color exchanges.
it was a lot of fun.
Patsy....summer sounds like fun. I am ready for :sunny: Actually it was a very nice day and we got to 65 degrees!! :woohoo:
Oh okay.. hmm let's see..
It's pretty difficult to think of things now, so many things have been done!
How about Chocolate? Baby items? Italian charm bracelet links? :P

I like the baby item exchange, but not sure how many others will participate.
milkabum, do you have a baby? If so what age and gender?

Nope! Heck I'm almost 13 LOL.
However I might get my mom to help with the exchange set up, and we know a lot of people with babies. My sister (25) recently became a godmother actually, and her friend had a baby just a couple weeks ago.
The exchange will be for expecting mothers and people with children from newborn to 24 months. It will be for toys, helpful items like bottles, bibs, and baby bags, and perhaps clothing. I'm thinking the exchange might have a minimum of 10 dollars, because I'm not sure 5 dollars will get you much.

Oops sorry :lmao: .
Is your mom a member of this board?
Yes, $5.00 won't get you much, so $10.00 would be a nice price range.

milkabum, you can still do a rainbow exchange.
It has been a long time and no one has "claimed" that as theirs ;)
With the way the board is now, I'm not sure a baby one would get many participants, but for a first time host, small is good ::yes::

Frames as in picture frames? That would be good-it might have been done before but I don't remember as if it was I did not participate.
But you could do that...another one that people seemed to be interested in was a Disney plush doll exchange if that catches your interest.
Feel free to put up a poll.

Yes, I mean picture frames.
I'd LOVE a plush exchange.. you'd have to see my room to understand. :lmao: So right now, what would you personally choose?
1. Picture frames.
2. Disney plush.
3. Baby item.
I'd get my mom to join, but she's always busy.. but perhaps I can persuade her!

I would go for baby items since either I or my kids have too many of the other two :rotfl: .

Hey all! Thought I would check in since I hadn't yet. Didn't read all the posts though so I'm a little behind in what all is happening with everyone.
Don't feel like working too much. Need to get my tax stuff done and to the accountant though. Carol has the day off from school and I feel like I should have the day off also. :rotfl:
James came home to spend Saturday night with us. Was good to see him. He brought one of his new friends home with him. They are planning on getting an apartment next fall with two other guys.

Hi Susan :).
It is nice to see you on here.
Hope things with Carol is better then the last time I chatted with you.
I need to get alot of things done around the house and today is my uncle's birthday, so I am making a ham, dessert-not sure what yet-any suggestions anyone? I want to use things I already have so that I don't have to make another trip to the store, and a side dish-this Korean long rice dish with veggies.
I was able to have Kevin watch Brandon last night since I was very tired, so I had gotten some much needed rest, but I am still tired.
What is everyone else doing today?

Welcome Maggie! There's something always going on so I'm sure you'll find plenty to do.
Patsy, Carol's doing fine. She started dating a month ago and is having the best time. So far no rules broken but she has been a warning once or twice. The bully that had targeted assaulted another girl in band and was sent to alternative school for awhile and is now at the other high school here in town. Makes us breathe a sigh of relief! Hopefully he will not be allowed back at our school next year for his senior year.
I remember being where you are at. Seems like you'll never catch up with your sleep and all of a sudden, you do. But then, you know that. ;)

Working.... Though on Friday after work, I am giving my first PAID professional massage. I've been so busy working as a receptionist for the school, that I've not had a chance to go out and ply my trade. *grin* I'm hoping that my hands will help my friend heal from the heartache she's currently going thru. She lost her Father in December, and in mid January, her sister literally dropped dead on the spot. Her daughter is having difficulties dealing with this and so both of them are going to have a massage from me.
