Hi my name is Tink. I am on the never ending quest to lose 25 pounds. I am 37 years old and 5 feet tall. I love all Disney things and hope this forum will keep me motivated. I have made 3 goals for myself in hope that it will become habit for me.
#1 eat only when hungry not bored
#2 be conscience of what I eat
#3 stay active

#1 eat only when hungry not bored

I am totally with you! I have always had a habit of eating when depressed or bored. I remember walking into the Kitchen every five minutes and never leave without something to eat - I felt so ashamed of myself. However, I still can't get into the habit of eating only when hungry because I am really never hungry - well I dont think that I am, so at times I do surge and eat. For example, yesterday I wasn't hungry but at 5 in the evening I said I have to eat, so I went to the Kitchen and ate, ate, and ate. Yep, I continued to eat until my stomach hurt, I felt so ashamed once more. I just cant get into this habit so I know where your coming from!

#3 stay active

This is so true. Most of the times it is not what you eat it's the lack of daily activity!

I was doing very well today until my daughter came home. She spent the night with a friend last night. They baked chocolate cupcakes today. Her friend's mom told my daughter to bring them home with her because she is trying to lose weight. Oh well. Tomorrow.....

Tink -

I am in about the same place as you are. We are booked to go to WDW followed by a cruise in August of next year. I would like to be 25 pounds lighter by then.

I am having a hard time getting started. I keep thinking that I have over a year to get the weight off. The only problem is that I know I should start right now since I am not at all pleased with where I am at now. I spend tons of time at the cabin (on a lake) and would like to be happier with sitting around in my swim stuff.

I think that your goals are great ones to start out with. I am working on just starting to exercise some - staying active is a key part of getting back in shape.

Good Luck!
Jen
