Anyone wish to comment on their experience with Shutterfly or MyPublisher? We are looking at both options for our upcoming wedding.

I really liked MyPublisher, but make sure you get the hardcover ones, as I've heard that the softcover ones have some binding issues. If you register with theknot and other wedding sites, you will probably get buy one get one free offers from them by email. I still get them. They do have to be the same book though.

We recently had an engagement party and we used Shutterfly to make all the invitations. They came out really cute.
I also made a photobook of all our photos from when we got engaged and it really came out beautiful.

I made 2 MyPublisher books of our wedding for the moms because we didn't do albums with Randy. They turned out nicely; the moms were happy. :thumbsup2

If you're a detail person, I wouldn't look too closely at the printing. There tends to be a little ?pixelation? in the colors, even when printing a very high res photo. It is particularly noticeable when printing black.

Both my books and another Dis bride's that I saw did this.

Alas, the books are inexpensive for a reason.

Overall, they are decent quality.

I bought a bunch of photobooks with my publisher when they were new and had a free book offer with a decent shipping charge to it. The covers were hardback and picture quality was good, but the amount of *personal touch* you could add to the book was limited, although it was good compared to other sites. I'm sure they have added more features to the photobook since i've been on.

the coupon codes are only good if you intend to buy multiple books though. they don't have a free book + shipping or any good codes like that now. All the emails i receive are buy 1 & get another copy free codes.

Try www.StoriesFromTheHeart.com IMHO, their books are so much better (in terms of quality) than Shutterfly & MyPublisher and the website is easy to use. All their books are hardcover and the pages are hand-stiched/library bound (not glued). They have different sizes to choose from (my favorite is the 12x12). The other thing that sold me on these books is their "heirloom guarantee" - if my book gets damaged or I lose it in a house fire or something (praying that never happens), I can get a replacement copy for half price!

a friend of mine also used the books I mentioned previously to make a custom guest book for her wedding. It had their engagement pictures in it as well as their love story. Just thought I'd this idea with you as well :sunny:

I've used Shutterfly and Snapfish and have been very happy with both. I was trying MyPublisher because it seemed easier to use and it was more affordable and could make larger books...but now you girls have me a bit nervous...I like the Heritage site but I hate to have to reupload all my pics again (i've already done it for snapfish, shutterfly, and now mypublisher)...
