OK....I am in such a dilemma.....do I keep my ressie at CRT breakfast and use 2 TS credits or do I pay out of pocket....I have eaten lunch at CRT before they had the character lunches there and LOVED just eating in the castle, however, I am torn about using 2 of my TS credits to eat there, or if I pay OOP it will cost over $100 w/ tip and tax for me, my DH and my 3 yo DS to eat there....AGGGHHH WHAT DO I DO???? :confused3

Honestly compare the price to the price of the other meals you are doing. We are doing the CRT dinner, and when we compared the price of the CRT dinner vs the approximate price of our other meals, CRT was the 2nd or 3rd cheapest, so we are paying out of pocket, because there is no way it was worth it. Remember for something to be worth 2TS tickets for an adult it needs to cost around $60 per person.

We are doing OOP for it because the price to me... at I think 29.99 or 32.99 I forget which one... is only 6 more than a 1 TS place so it isn't worth wasting the extra TS... plus then we get to use those at 2 places instead of missing a day of TS meals for it

I was going to pay for our CRT dinner in a few weeks with 2 TS credits, but seeing the reasoning here, I think it would be better if we paid for it OOP...afterall, it made us come up short on our credits anyways....I think I will give my party of 5 the option, and see what they would prefer. :teeth:

We're paying OOP. I won't consider using 2 TS credits that could be used at a signature dinner for our CRT lunch! Lunch IMO (we've never done breakfast or dinner there) has declined in quality and increased in price. They used to have prime rib, delicious rolls, a couple of tasty desserts and some nice appetizers. Now, all you get as an appetizer is that silly plate with, like, one olive, one piece of one-inch square cheese and a couple of celery sticks. Dessert is the same for everyone. And, no good rolls and butter anymore.

We figure we're totally being taken to the cleaners anyway. There's no need to waste 2 TS credits in the process.

I made my ressie for CRT lunch using the dining plan and a CC hold. I did this due to money being tight and not having $100.00 available to charge on the CC. I plan to change the ressie to prepaid CC before we go to WDW. Saving the table credits for another meal. I just wanted people to know that this was a option if cash flow was a issue. Without figuring out this loop hole I would of missed out getting the ressie for CRT. Hope this helps.

... I think Disney may have changed something at CRT. We were there on Friday for lunch, and paid for it with DDP, fully expecting to use up our last six credits (for two adults and one child) there. After we left, we noticed that they only took 3 credits for the lunch! :cool1: So, could it be a fluke, or a change in policy? I'd call to see if things are changing ...

We had lunch there last year and the salmon with crab risotto and asparagus was the best meal I had all week. :thumbsup2

We are going back this year, but will pay OOP and use the DDE to save 20%. It's good, but no way is it worth 2TS.

Cinderella's Royal Table. We have lunch ressies there in Sept...we adults are going to starve...lunch menu does NOT appeal to us...and pictures posted confirm it...but I couldn't get breakfast. :sad1:
BUT...we are really going there for DGD and DGS...so we grown-ups will grab a burger later! We are paying OOP for this (already have :) )..didn't want to waste two TS credits apiece.
I have heard that if you call ahead you can order the Cinderella Slipper dessert...is this true and how/where do you call? :confused3

We finally got to eat at CRT last Christmas week - once for dinner and once for breakfast - when it was still 1 TS. Dinner was wonderful, but DD says she wouldn't spend 2 TSs and I would never spend that much OOP. Breakfast wasn't nearly as good food-wise, but we all know that's not why we go... Still, DD says 2TSs are too much.

We are trying the Gala Feast at 1900 Park Fare instead.

You can call #407-824-7091 to order slipper at CRT. It is NOT part of the dining plan.

They need at least 48 hours notice.

Pay OOP--I totally agree with the poster below. We did this when we decided to have lunch at the Coral Reef which worked out perfectly since our lunch was NOT worthy of 2TS credits. We tried to be strategic about when to use our TS credits because, believe it or not, we had more than one TS in a day. I honestly can't remember if we paid OOP for our CRT lunch or not. I do remember that my DD9 and DD6 LOVED it and our DSalmost 3 had no real interest in anything but the dessert! He was so covered in chocolate that I wouldn't let him near the princesses' beautiful gowns!

Our food was fine. My husband and I really enjoyed our meal. The kids had pasta with butter which they loved. I don't think the food was worth two TS credits. The experience was invaluable. We had been running around the park all morning in the hot, Hot, HOT August heat and when we entered that very cool, very tranquil dining room, it felt like paradise, like peace!

Obviously, we had lunch so I can't really speak to the breakfast food or experience. Whatever you do, have fun!!!

I just booked CRT for lunch and we are paying OOP. I did put it on my card becaue I want it paid for when we get there. I do not want to worry about any bills that I can pay now.
