I am trying to get an idea of the price of the secret verandah rooms for a possible cruise in 2008. Here is my question, there are four of us who will be in the room do these rooms sleep 4?? Also if you have had this room in the past were you happy with it?? What kind of price reduction is there for this room versus a full Cat 6??

Thanks in Advance
Kathy

They only sleep 3 as far as I know. We have 7620 for next May. It's a Cat 7 price but use to be a Cat 5. $4500 for 3 adults first week in May. 7 night Western

pppiglet....Thanks for the quick response....sad to hear that looks like I probably won't get a balcony for my 40th then:( Oh well I will get to cruise so that will make the BIG 40 easier to take:)

We are booked in 6634 for 11/24/06. Since the sofa folds out into a bed, the room should hold 4 people. Now, keeping in mind that we have no children and we are sailing on a low cost week, it was $2400 for us for a 7 day Eastern, compared to about $3000 for a Cat 6. I booked our cruise almost exactly 1 year in advance. A Cat 7 is now up to $3700 for the same cruise.

Even though the sofa folds out, there is no pull down bunk in any of the 4 re-classified cat 7's, so DCL will not allow you to book 4 people in them.

As far as the price difference, it's whatever the difference is between a cat 6 and a cat 7
I'd guess it would probably be around $200 for 2 people on a 7 night cruise.

Oops, edited to fix my goof ;)

Also the sofa does not 'fold out'. It is a single-sized mattress in the back of the sofa that folds down. It will only sleep one person. And like the previous poster mentioned, Disney will not book 4 people in the room.

What exactly is the veranda like on these rooms? I know the cat 7 is a navigators veranda, and I know what the cat 5 & 6 verandas are. How is this one different?

It's really a regular cat 5 or 6 veranda, but because of the design of the ship it is a bit obstructed in one corner.

We had #6134 and loved it. In fact I liked having the back corner a bit more enclosed, it felt more private to me.

There are some great photos of these balconies out there, I just can't remember which site has them. :confused3
I bet someone will come along with more info.

Here are pictures of 6634 from the Wonder. They were taken by a DISer on a 3 day cruise in May.

We had 6634 on the Wonder as well. As much as I liked it, I still (just a little bit) prefer the "full" veranda. But, the couple of hundred saved from the cat 6 is a massage or so.....

Obviously, I didn't hate it because we booked 6634 for the 14-night Med repo.

I don't think they sleep 4, however.....

I just checked the Passporter guidebook and all 4 rooms sleep only 3.
