It seems there is much confusion as to what is a snack on the dining plan. Disney comes out with a new list once in a while. Maybe a CM at one place says this is a snack while another CM at another place says it isnt.....heres the solution...why not just let anything under a certain price ($2.25 etc) be a snack? Seems pretty simple to me.

--One snack -- As of May 2006, most snack items under $4 are eligible for the dining plan snack credit. Eligible snacks will be indicated on the menu with a Dining Plan symbol

That is the the problem, only some snacks under $4.00. I agree and think it would be soo much easier for both parties if they just set a price limit. I'm sure it depends a lot on their cost;)

The restrictions are quite minor in the whole scheme of snack credits - and personally I would rather it be most items under $4 than all items under $2.50.

I threw out the $2.25 as an example. I think it would be a good idea for all items under "X" (Disney fills this in) to be a snack.

But if Disney made it EVERYTHING under a certain dollar value, I believe the dollar value would be less than $4 because there are several non-snack items available for less than $4 most notably children's counter service meals.

As long as many kid's meals are priced at $3.99 I don't see Disney ever stating everything under $__ because people would try to buy souvenirs, kids meals, etc. with their snack credit.

Again, I personally would rather have most items under $4 included than all items under a lesser dollar value (whether it be $2.50, $2.75 or $3.00) as a snack credit.

Exactly....that was what I meant to say also!

We just got back yesterday, and generally food items under $4 were included except kids' meals and items at the World Showcase (like in France's boulangerie where only a drink would work, no pastries at all even if they were less than $4). While most snack items are marked by the symbol, not all are, so it pays to ask. In any case, it works really well,

Best value for snack credits is at the F&W stands.
