I had a hard time too. We had a cute little girl (from signature) that is two. We stayed with the theme of pirates as we couldn't find anything from the movie. We had a blast shopping though. I think DD's loved the shopping part more than anything. They would have filled my cart with tons of $$$$ if I could have afforded it. FUN!!!!! pirate: pirate:

Our package is all set to go out and we are off to the post office this afternoon.

I was able to find some pirate stuff, but most of the "fun" kind of pirate stuff seemed to be gone. There was alot of movie kind of things around. They just seemed kind of scary for a little kid. Since my DS was the same age as our Exchange buddy, I just let him pick a few things out. Probably an odd little assortment, but I wasn't sure what was appropriate. This is our first exchange so I am sure I will catch on as I see what all else got sent.

**NOTE TO OUR EXCHANGE BUDDY: Because of where we both live, we were concerned about the power problems in your area and weren't sure if you were around this week or if you headed for cooler areas. In any case, we are sending the package with delivery confirmation in the hope that it will make sure it gets to you. Hope that this week wasn't too bad for you, it looked a little crazy on TV.

A great package arrived at our house today from WDWLOVERS5 - a POTC rowboat with pirate and dog [ with keys, of course], and a little treasure chest. My nephew was thrilled! Thank you so much!

I got a whole BUNCH of neat stuff! A really cool pirate card signed by my secret pal, Kason. :thumbsup2 A POC cup, folder, TWO notebooks and stickers. A thing to keep my cup from sweating all over the furniture, scented colored pencils ( how did you know I was an artist? :artist: ), toe thingies for when I paint my nails and..... a pirate hat, eye patch and earring! ( no, you cannot borrow them, they're MINE ) And a hat to match my bathing suit.

By the way - the card is being put on my desk at the office first thing Monday.

I'm so glad you liked everything! Kason will be happy. We were so bummed because we had no selection at all. There weren't even any pirate toys in the toy section at our walmart! We live in a small town and the walmart is brand new, the only other thing we have is a family dollar. I could've went to toys r us and other places in the next town, but Kason wanted to pick the stuff out for you, so I hope you really do like it.

Thanks so much Caitlin (Tigger113)! DS is at his fathers until next Friday, but I opened his package so I could post what he got. He got two really cool pirate info sheets on parchment paper. They look really old and authentic. One is the Pirates Creed of Ethics and the other is Weapons of Pirates. He's going to totally flip over these. He will want to hang them on his wall. It's really cool because they match a pirate map he has from the outer banks. He also got a pirate's house restaurant post card from Savannah and some information about pirates. He's going to love that! Thanks so much, you did a great job!

I saw the things about the issues last night and wasn't sure what to think. I was assured that whomever had me for the shuffle (and I have the same problem with the Baby shuffle - my stuff sent and received, but we received nothing yet?) In light of it all I am not sure what to think.

I would still like to think that there is something on the way for my little ones, but in light of what all has been going on and that it happened in BOTH Exchanges, I just don;t know.

Got mine from Beverly in Ma, no note so I'm not sure of the DIS name.

I got a pirate inflatable ball, small flag, a keychain, laytex ballon, bubbles and some fabric rings or wristbands. Unfortunatly the mail man must not have read "Fragile" written on the side because only the ballon, ball and wristbands made it ok.

Wendy from Mass....Randall recieved his package yesturday and boy was he thrilled. I sat him down to explain why he was getting this package in the mail, and he seemed a little funny about it. But then, when he got it open,...his face lit up and he hugged me and thanked me!!, So now I need to pass the hug and thanks on to you! :hug: :thanks:
I know I'm gonna forget some of the things that were in the package, because he immediately had everthing out and playing with them, but I do remember seeing a balloon, keychains, a treasure map, bubbles, wrist bands, a pirate flag and some M&M's!! Thank you so much. This was a lot of fun! :thumbsup2

You made SUCH a BIG hit here this morning!! Your package arrived and boy was DS excited. He saw it sitting on the porch when we stepped out to check how hot it felt today (it was supposed to be 98* by 10am UGHH Heat!!). He looked down and saw a big package and started yelling to me "Moooooommmmmyyyyyy, I got mail! I got mail!!!" :bounce: :bounce:

He got 3 very cool action figures from PotC2!! There were also stickers, 2 coloring books, a PotC folder for school!! He felt like he was so special to get so much "cool stuff" (his words, LOL)!! He started opening the action figures right away and DD ran off with the Mickey coloring book - she wanted to look at the pictures. They LOVED everything you sent!

You truly truly went above and beyond! DS pulled out some paper and started to make you a special picture to thank you for the package (his version of a "thank you note"). I will send it out to you as soon as he is done with it.

Tattooed Goofy... DD LOVED HER PACKAGE!!! She had so much fun going through it! (And even had a TON of fun peeling the stickers off of your lovely note!!!) Yeah, and now I even have to buy those fruit snacks instead of her Princess ones! :rotfl:

She added the Pirate Little People set to her collection and now the Priate Little Person lives on her Little People farm.... The pig guards the "treasure chest"..... :rotfl2:

I'm glad my pins arrived at their destination. I was one of those who could NOT find Pirates stuff anywhere but the Disney Store for the life of me. I got the pins because there was no age specification for my recipient and I figured ANYONE could wear/trade a few Pirates pins!

Wish I had been back here earlier to help out with the elfing... :guilty:
