I'm really bored, and I remembered this thread from a long time ago (like December) but I'm too lazy/i don't think i can find it.
So I'm wondering, what are some crazy things that are said about your city, state or country?
for example, people think we live in igloos have pet beavers & polar bears and speak nothing but french and always have 'eh' at the end of sentence.

extremely skinny and hyped up on some sort of steroid
rednecks with a "lazy" southern accent

I thought the "wooder" thing only referred to New Jersey. Actually, it's true for many people here in NJ.
People claim that the worst drivers come from NJ.
There are many other crazy things that are said about NJ that I can't think of right now.

not sure whether this makes sense/is okay, but i'm gonna say something crazy that kids my age think about my town:
we're ghetto (we have a neighborhood of mansions about a 2 minute walk from my school)
we're rich (definatly not)
we drink nothing but coffee (which is kinda true)
crazy stuff people say about my state:
we hate tea (take a guess about this: _______ Tea Party)
we are all either Irish or Itallian
we say "park the car" like "pahk da cah"
we are ALL witches (______ Witch Trials) :stir:

- It's always cold
- We wear freaking parka's.
- We say 'aboot'
- We're always drinking because we apparently have 'better' beer & the age for drinking is lower than Americans.
- Everyone plays hockey (even if most people do, some don't)

two people have already said stuff for Massachusetts but here are some more:
-everyone here are preppy. not really everyone has gone "punk" around my area. now a days here the only preppy people are the Kennedys.
-Everyone loves the Kennedys and Kerry. ok for the most part that is true but some people dont like either.
-We annoying because of the accent. The Bostonian accent isnt really that bad i think. Most people think we say something like caaaaaaaar, really we basically just cut out the "r"
- Rich, we are not all rich. yes i do live in a nicer town right outside of Boston but we do have bad areas just like everywhere else dose.
and everyone drinks because we are either all Irish or Italian

More about NJ:
It is considered to be the 'armpit' of the nation.
We all have relatives in the mafia, and talk like Tony Soprano.
NJ is nothing but malls.
People form North Jersey think that South Jersey is all farms.

More Massachusetts
We all have annoying strong Boston Accents (This was already similarly said)
We're all "M@$$holes..." Nice huh? I actually heard someone at Disney call herself that (Ironically, she WAS a big mean jerk to me!), and I muttered to myself "Well maybe YOU are..."

They think New Jersey natives have a "New York Accent" and pronounces Jersey as 'Joisy'. They are all mobsters, they can determine where other Jerseyans live by asking, "What exit?" (in regards to the New Jersey turnpike), and eat at diners on a regular basis. People from New Jersey spend most of their free time at the mall.

I guess the "water" thing is just the southern part of Jersey. ;)
The Weird NJ thing makes me wonder if there are any other states that are nearly as haunted as NJ. After all, we're the only state that has its own devil :scared1:

I'm from Tennessee, and honestly, most of the things you hear are true for most people. there are a lot of john deer wearing, tractor pulling, dairy farming rednecks out here.
but for every one of them theres someone who is basically just average. I don't live on a farm, but I've got a pretty thick accent. I live in the city, but thats not saying much.

Most people think we ar either all ghetto or all rich and stuck up. There are ppl, like me, who aren't rich but they don't wear there paints down past their knees(guys obviously) and the girls aren't all trampy and have tops that are too short and the same goes with their skirts. We wear jeans, hollister, abercrombie and fitch, Mudd, and even HOT TOPIC. :confused3

I'm from Connecticut and when people hear that they tend to think that we're all rich, stuck up, polo wearing, horseback riding, country club attending lawyers. That may be true in Greenwich, but definetly not where I'm from..
