Hi,

I know I read some info on this months ago, but the search feature isn't functioning for me. Besides Gifts of a Lifetime (which I am already considering), what is the other company that will deliver cakes or gift baskets to your room, etc. I thought it was a woman on the DIS that ran it. I'm looking to surprise DH on his birthday at Disney, but nothing too elaborate (GOAL seems really elaborate to me). Any suggestions? :)

Edited to add: I also remember that the GF bakery can make cakes. Can they deliver them to TS restaurants, or do I need to be staying at the GF? I plan to surprise DH during our Fantasmic Dinner package night...can Melrose make a cake to be presented at the table? So many questions! Thanks! :thumbsup2

I placed an order from www.peggyssweetsandmore.com
She's a disboard member (Feralpeg) and quite a few people are extremely happy with what she's done!! Check out her website :thumbsup2

I went to pegs website- it was pretty good. You sort of build your own basket with candy, treats from park bakeries & such, toys, mouse ears, pins, etc. It was neat. I think it wa $20 for a basket and you buy all the stuff to go in it. Plus she will do personal shopping inthe parks.I cant remember if there was a delivery fee or not, but there is a short notice fee. (not much). I thought about getting one for our Disneymoon but I'm not sure- you can't put champagne in, only sparkling cider. i COULD bring my own champagne, but DH will probably see it before the big suprise. Will anyone at the resort do this for me?? (POR) HTey will probably charge a fortune.
...sigh... HTH

From what I understand, any TS can do the 6" cakes for $12.50 and bring it to your table--just tell them at the check-in podium. If you want something bigger, more elaborate, or customized, most deluxe resorts' own kitchens can make them. If you are eating at a different resort than your "home" resort, that bakery there can bring you one--you must tell them your ADR # so that they will know that you WILL show up and get the cake.

I think that 8" is about $20. The castle cake at GF is beautiful, but small--$24-25.00.

Good luck!
