Best way to get from GF to WL

We will be staying at the Grand Floridian near Christmas. I want to take the fam over to the Wilderness lodge to scheck out the lobby.

I am trying to figure out the easiest way to get there.

Take the monorail from GF to MK. Then take the boat from MK to WL.

Other option in the event you want to go later in the evening when MK is closed is take monorail to TTC and then Boone or Crockett bus that goes to both WL and FW.

I would monorail it to the Contemporary (you can check out the hotel! :) ) and then take the boat from the Contemporary to WL. Boat is much less crowded than the one from MK. And it's a lovely ride.

Have a rental car during your vacation at WDW - we would never do without. WL is so close but yet so far from GF using WDW transportation (I bet it would take you at least 20+ minutes and it is probably less than a mile away). With a car it is 5 minutes tops!

We just got back from the CR and it was quicker to get to breakfast at the GF using the car than it was using the monrail - only 3 stops away.

Thanks for the advice. We won't need a rental. we live in Tampa (60 miles away from the main entrance).

I want to leave the car in the parking lot and take advantage of the fun Diz transportation system.

I like the idea of going to the Contemp and looking around then heading over to WL.
