I got the travel documents today - hooray! :yay: Included was a voucher for Preferred Parade Viewing (in front of It's a Small World). I've never even heard about this. Can anyone share their experiences with this? Is it a good location, meaning a location where the float stops?
Also, does the free lanyard and pin come with a plastic pouch to hold tickets?
Thanks!

Who did you buy your travel package from? I got mine from Costco...they never mentioned a PP seating for parades. I wonder if it's only available to people that purchase through Disney.

As part of the holiday tour I took last Jan., we got to watch the holiday parade from what sounds like a similar spot. We sat in folding chairs across the road/path from IASW--no one in front of us. We were seated shortly before the parade started. The parade was starting at that end of the park, so we saw it as they came out of the gate. It was a great spot. That parade didn't have show stops like the 50th parade, so I can't speak to that part of it.

I got it from Magic For Less, which is an authorized Disney vacation planner. It seems that a lot of perks are similar to those that you get when booking directly with Disney, so there's probably some kind of agreement between them.

That would be a great location from which to watch the parade. Honestly, I got to Main Street about an hour before the parade, got a good spot, only to be pretty much squeezed out of our spot before the start of the parade. I literally had six inches on one side of me (right before a barricade post) and a whole family jammed into that space about 10 minutes before the parade. I just tried to keep my Disney attitude... :wizard:
I would love a preferred seating option for the parade.

Bummer, sorry to hear about your experience. I'm glad we have the preferred viewing then, because DD definitely needs her space, and I'm not a big fan of crowd squeezes myself.

We recieved our materials yesterday from Getawaytoday vacations which also included the lanyard and pin and ours did come with the plastic pouch on the end for tickets or room keys.

Thanks for the info! This will save us some $$ - I was planning on buying something to carry cc, ID and tickets (I'm not carrying my heavy clunker of a purse around ....)
