Bulid own pirate hats?

I read on one of the WDW boards that at the POTC store you could build you own pirate hat. Is there anything like that at DL?

Not that I saw. They do have a skull that you can fill with 'treasures' though :confused3 I didn't think the treasures were that great, but I would think a little boy (or girl I suppose) would think it was pretty cool.

I did see this at Dinseyland this last weekend. Although I think it was in the World of Disney though. Nnot quite sure, but I did see it.

I believe that you can purchase these at WOD. The World of Disney here sells them. I purchased one of these hasts 9there are two styles) for a prize in a contest we had over at TNT (see below). The hat itself was $10 and I purchased 3 patches that snap on to the hat. I think it can hold 4 more patches. The tricorn hat holds a couple more I think.

This is all we saw too. My son thought it was cool, mostly the gooshy eye balls. :confused3 Yes it's something a little boy would love. I thought some of it was basically junk (plastic spiders and such) but he loves that thing! :rotfl:

Sorry I didn't think to take a picture last night of the hats. Also sorry I didn't get back sooner, I Haven't been on dis since last week.

They do have the make your own pirate hats. The hats are the triangular type hats, you can add hair, and other pieces to them. They are inside the far entrance where all the pirate stuff is at the World of Disney. The entrance near the Anne Geddes store and Downtown Disney.

I know one of the TNT mods who lives in CA took pictures of the Pirates section at the DL World of Disney several weeks ago & posted them, but I can't find them right now. I will try to find it and post a link later.

I am going to try to link to the thread on TNT that I mentioned above that has the cool photos of the new Pirate section at WOD in DTD at DL, but it might not work (it's an ezboard):

Redheadwench's photos don't show the hats, but a previous poster described one of the hats as the "tricorn" hat, like Johnny Depp wears in the movie. There is also a black velveteen pirate captain's hat, which we sell here at WDW. I am not sure if they have it at DL.

Doombuggy, those are definitely cool pics! Thanks for the directions to them. I can't wait to take my own little pirates there. We were planning on going to DL in May, but when dh heard POTC was closed, he said, "No way!!" We waited until next week, August, to go. POTC is so fun, and was ds' favorite ride last year. He was 19 months at the time.
