I wear a size 9 shoe, and went to my store today to get crocs. I tried on the size M 8-9 womens shoe. My toes were touching the ends of the shoe, they were plenty wide but that. So i tried on the 10-11 size large womens, FORGET IT! Way to large.

I guess I'm a perfect 9, not an 8-9, btw that is the dumbest thing, only a man invented that sizing, i'm no where close to an 8, and no where close to a 10....

sigh.

Oh my son got his crocs (the bright blue ones) he's 9 and loves them.

I think i'm going to get some Teeva's or Merrell's. (but scared of sunburned feet, im VERY pale complected.

Have you tried sizing on the airwalks? They are sized differently, but every bit as comfy, if not more, and at half the price!

Some of the different styles of Crocs come in straight sizes. Maybe try a different style.

NURSEYPOO-
I got another pair this weekend at Dick's. Check to see the location on the bottom of the shoe. The ones that said Boulder were considerably smaller than the ones that said Canada. (Same style, same size according to bottom of shoe, but not when you held them up to eachother.) The cashier said someone had just returned a pair for the same reason. They weren't the same "size" as the pair they already had at home, even though the size on the bottom said they were the same. Hmmmm....

I would also recommend trying the Airwalks from Payless. They also have some that look more like a tennis shoe and it comes in whole sizes not the two size thing. http://www.payless.com/Catalog/ProductDetail.aspx?&TLC=Mens&SLC=MensSandals&BLC=MensSandalsCasuals&Width=Regular&ItemCode=54069&LotNumber=045233&Type=Adult&Popularity=217&DescriptiveColor=Black I could only find black online but I have them in orange and my dd has pink and ds has blue. They are every bit as comfy as the crocs. :cool1:

i've heard that if you throw them in the dryer & put them on warm, they'll mold to your feet better. dunno if it is true, i just heard it, and it sounded plausable.

You probably tried on the "beach" crocs. I wear an 8 and found the 8-9 too big and 6-7 too small. I'm on the hunt for the "cayman" size 8.(they run in full sizes) Cant find them in stores. I'm waiting for http://www.zappos.com/n/es/d/722171427/page/1.html
to get them in size 8.
Good Luck!

I agree, try the cayman instead of the beach. The beach are S, M, L and the cayman are straight sizes
GOOD LUCK

Nurseypoo, I'm in the SAME boat as you EXACTLY! 8-9 rub my toes and 10-11 are like clown shoes on me! So, I decided to get the Athens II style which is a flip flop. If you don't like the thingie between your toes, you can get the Athens which has just the band across the foot (a thingie-less flip flop, if you will....) These are now, quite possibly, the most comfortable shoes I own! In fact, my feet feel better in them then they do barefoot! Too bad they don't make them in fashionable leather finishes to match dressier outfits!

I hadn't thought about taking them to WDW in March but I might just consider it now. I'll keep my Keen sandals handy, just in case.

Dw and DD got the Vegs jr. and they were sized in whole numbers and they varied from shoe to shoe so don't give up.

Also might want to try the KEENS they worked real well for me and DD on our last trip .

I even kept mine on at both water parks the entire time ( Body slides they asked me to take them off and hold them ).

Definatly try the Caymen style, but also try a different pair of the Beach's to check. Depending on the style/where it was made can make a difference. I ordered some of the Scutes and had to send them back even though they were the same size as other Croc's I have. The only difference was the Crocs were made in China and my others in the US.

I wear a 9 too and the Beach style didn't work for me. I ordered a 9 Cayman style from the crocs website and they fit well.

This is what I did, as the 8-9 were a tad small for me. Put them in the dryer for about 4 minutes, put on a heavy pair of socks. Perfect Fit :cloud9:

I got teh beach style and have foot pain in them. The size 8-9 is very snug on me and I think that is the problem. I think I'm going to exchange them for the athens, or get my money back and buy some air walks, lol.

Im having a problem with the caymans, its a good thing zappos has free return shipping. one size was too small the next size up too big.(I'm feelin like goldie locks) so Ill just have to keep checking at Dicks to see if they get any good colors in the beach. I am determined to get them. because it sounds like when you get a good fit you are :cool1:

I had the same problem with the Crocs Beach style. One size was too small and the other size was huge on me. Instead I bought the Cayman style which is sized and not just Small/Medium/Large. I wear a size 8 1/2 and I bought a size 8. I got mine from REI and I usually wear them with the strap around my ankle.

I had the same problem with the Beach style (6-7 too small, 8-9 too big), but my Cayman's size 8 fit perfect. (I'm normally between 7 and 7 1/2). Also, the Athens size 7 fit well too. I passed my Beach 6-7 on to my DS, and she'll happy now too.

Buy the Cayman online somewhere that provides for free returns/free shipping, and you should be set.
