Hey bradk - I'm glad you finally got some pics over here for us!

I have been looking for that Minnie for ages! I have seen where it was 'supposed' to be, but until your picture, I didn't really "see" it - but now I do!

Where is this?

It's basically Dead in the Center of the Room. I was shocked when I realized that I had missed it before! In the "Throne Room" of the Indiana Jones Section of the Great Movie Ride, look to the Left Side of the Ride Car. There are 2 Statue thingees in each corner and there is a Crate in the middle of the room. and it is basically the tile right above the crate. I believe it is the 2nd row of Hieroglyphics from the ground. (Mickey & Donald are about the 4th or 5th row from the ground)

Is this the same room as Mickey and Donald?

the hidden minnie is on the jungle cruise on the wall of the temple on the left side just as you're exiting. took me a few rides (not to mention waiting to be seated in the proper spot) to get it.. and speaking of having to make several attempts... check the gas tank door

Yes - C3PO & R2 and in the same room as Mickey & Donald - just before you get to them! It is the first part of the Indiana Jones Scene right after the Alien Room. Typically, everyone looks to the right of the vehicle b/c that's where the Ark of the Covenant is and the left just appears to be a stone wall.

Hey Bradk - That is an AWESOME Pic of the Gas Tank TT HM - I did not even attempt a Pic at that b/c there was no way that I would even come close to that shot!

Here's my little guy (Cayden) on the Huge DAK Harambe HM - Don't ask me why there's huge piece of grass in his mouth though - I promise I fed them b/t hunting for Mickeys!

I think I have one that hasn't been posted here. Thanks to IndyJammer for helping me figure out how to post it.

I did the Keys to the Kingdom tour in January and the tour guide told us about this one. After the tour was over, I stayed at the Magic Kingdom and went back to take the picture. Here it is!

I think it is funny that everytime someone said that the HM was easy to find I had a hard time finding. Yet when they said it was hard to find, I almost immediately spotted.

This is an awesome thread. We were there last year for our 1st time and did see some HM, but didn't take any pictures. This year I think we will spend some time looking for them and taking pictures.

No - The Minnie is the hard one at the Exit of the Temple Ruins on the Jungle Cruise. The R2D2/C3PO and the Mickey/Donald Hieroglyphics (in my sig) are the difficult ones to find in the GMR.

Here's one from the Living Seas. On the 2nd floor of the Aquarium, you walk thru a corridor/thingee and on the right, on the aquarium floor, there is a certain Mouse swimming down there!

Here's one that I haven't seen mentioned yet. It is in line for the Kilamanjero Safari. In the first Standby room with TVs, there are some fishing poles in the attic/rafters that come together to make Mickey:

You want a difficult one? Look on page 2 for the one with Mickey's three-quarter profile in the vines at the AKL. Now if you go to that resort, go out back and look for it in the vines yourself.

My wife and I spent a good five minutes just staring at them and still couldn't find it! We weren't even sure which side it was on, and those vines take up a LOT of space. We just turned around and settled for the HM in the giraffe on the rock. :rolleyes1

Are you referring to the red flowers front and center? If that is the case, then I would call that a coincidence rather than a HM. If that is not what you are referring to, then I do not see it.

My children spotted this one right away when we had lunch there. The CMs were really excited about it, and said people rarely see that one.

They then proceeded to tell the kids that there was only one other hidden mickey in the Canada pavillion, and took them to see it.

I'm not going to spill the beans on that one, but if you inquire at Le Cellier next time you're there, they may help you find it. ;)

I have a freaky one!! Yesterday on the news they reported finding one from the year 900AD in S. Sweden, where I live :goodvibes. It is a brooch that was apparently worn on a viking womans dress and had the reporter so interested he was wondering if indeed Walt was reincarnated. The artifact can be found in the Historiska Museet in Lund, in case your coming this way ;)!

Actually, there are a couple others in Canada - One can be found on Page 15 of this thread! I always love it when CMs help to find HMs though - or even better when they are showing you new ones!

That middle picture is in the waiting line of test track. There are several of these pipes that when you look at them STRAIGHT on look like Mickey. From the side they look like 3 different components.

I don't think anyone has been ambitious enough to put all these in a document yet! I am (slowly) working on an index for page 1, but you may be better off checking out Steven Barrett's website www.hiddenmickeysguide.com - He has a lot of HMs there as well.

You're correct on both pictures. The wooden one is at WL on one of the floors where the rooms are. It was listed in the book.

I will admit that I had help with that one! I had read about it on the www.hiddenmickeysguide.com - otherwise, if you weren't a CM for Splash Mountain, I don't know how you would ever find that one!

Here's one that's a little easier. Outside one of the shops on Sunset Blvd in MGM, there is a ticket-booth-looking-thing. There are 3 Quarters in the classic formation:

I just want to say THANK YOU!

What a great way to pass time but yet still have fun, and the fact that there are SOOO many of them!

I guess even for those who go every year, you have a unlikely hood of ever finding all of them. The imaginers have done a great job making them hidden but yet visible if you are really looking. :)

Wondering if my 4 memory cards of 200 each will be enough for my camera for the 7 days we will be there? LOL

NoseyBuddy - I can't get your pictures to come out - and it's ok if it's already been posted, post it again!

I think that that's a Disney Urban Legend! There are a couple 100,000 points spots (the back of the Orange Robot's arm, the Z on the bottom of Zurg's spaceship that can only be hit entering and exiting that part), but I do not believe there is a 1 Mil point spot. If so, someone please let me in on the secret as well!

Here's one from the Buzz Lightyear Fastpass machine! This HM IS in the ride as well - but I haven't managed a good picture of it yet. (It's in the room with all the batteries on the left hand side - so someone try shooting it & see if that's the Lucky Mickey!)

From what I have heard as soon as you enter the ride straight up is the 1mil point spot. I saw it once but was not able to hit it to find out if it gives you 1 mil.

You should be able to if you can post that counter in your Sig.

Are you using a [img] code from a hosting sight like Photobucket.

Go to the Tech Boards they have great info there.

ya these are soooooooo cool i mean i have always looked for them in my state with my aunt ( who is also on the disboards) like one time i found one in a parking lot ! it was made from what i think was oil from a car! my aunts heading to disney soon so i will be sure to tell her to keep her eyes open for them!

This Hidden Mickey is located at the POP food court- its in the center of one of the large white light fixtures. If I remember correctly, its in the middle of the food court where you check out.

I was wondering if anyone had a list, of some of the not so hidden or hard to find mickeys at the MK! I am going in 7 days with my 4 and 3 year old girls, and I think it would be fun to show them some of these. But I am blind as a bat when it comes to finding things that are hidden.

Thanks so much for any help anyone can give me!

Also we are going to be staying at the All-Stars Movie resort, if anyone knows of anything neat there that they would like to see, please let me know.

One more thing, how do you add the tickers and pictures to your sig.?

Did you find that one spontaneously or did you read about it somewhere? That has to be worth about 6 points in the Steven Barrett book, and the max is usually five. Also does anyone know how they could make it grow like that or is it accident?
it is from the "living with the land" ride at EPCOT and the CM pointed it out to us.... we went on the ride a second time so we could get a good picture of it, as the first time we were almost past it before we spotted it:thumbsup2

We've found many HM over the years. I used to report them (to Hidden Mickey Guide or HiddenMickey.org) but now just enjoy seeing them. That is until DS spotted this one. It hadn't been reported so I sent it in for him to the Hidden Mickey Guide.
Here is what they put on the website

Just outside the main entrance to the BC marketplace is a display window. Inside the window to the right is a rope up against the wall in a very clear Mickey shape.

But we bought a locking mailbox today and when DH handed me one of the two keys, I immediately seen that it had key ring opening that looks just like Mickey. I said, "Oh look a hidden Mickey!". My DH just shook his head and said, "you have it bad". I suppose I was too excited about it! What can I say...:rolleyes1

i sent a couple of pictures to his site of the polynesian kona cafe carpet. if you have any pictures that he doesn't have he's really great about adding them. he contacted me to tell me that he was going to include them on his website. i like looking at his website to see all the hidden mickey's that people have taken pictures of.

I don't know about that, I sent him this hidden mickey in Japan that I found in Sept 2006 and it was never added, I was never contacted. I saw that it was still there on our April 2007 trip. I just went and sent it to him again, I'll let you know if I get any response.

some of these are true hidden mickey's others are just obvious design elements.

I don't consider it a hidden mickey unless it's made of separate elements that you would have to look hard to see . or they are intentionally put places that the average person would notice. man hole covers and railing designs are just design elements to me.

Where are Disney's official rules on what makes a hidden Mickey? My DH and I go back and forth on this. He thinks a lot of them are not hidden and very obvious and hidden means you have to look for them. However, if my kids had to stop and look at every turn and search, they'd get dicouraged pretty quickly. Even the author of the hidden Mickey book is not an official Disney employee and is forming his own opinion on what a hidden Mickey is. We say that if we call it a Hidden Mickey, then it's a hidden Mickey. We've just decided that if we say it's a hidden Mickey, it must be one :)

Hey Mecha & Madi - I agree with Both of you!

I think that we've had this debate somewhere else in this thread as well! I consider some Hidden Mickeys to be more "decorative" - as in obvious! But, that does not mean that someone else may not "see" it! Sometimes you just take things for granted and do not notice them until they are pointed out to you. I think as a HM Purist, you discount things like fences and flags - but as a HM Fan, they are still worth pointing out!

I welcome Both types of Hidden Mickeys to this thread & even if you think that your HM has been posted before, post it again! Sometimes a different angle or view will help someone else "see" it better!

I don't really see it described that way. The CM who pointed it out said that the circle on the clipboard is one of the ears. Then I see it. It is upsidedown.

This is something I saw while standing in line at Flame Tree on our August trip, it's not in the HM guide, but is located in the right hand side of the second from the right of the order stands. It's in the "border" that separated the "inside" from the "outside" of the order area, on the ground.

Thanks for pointing it out. I could sort of see it, but your picture really helps. The CM told us that the clipboard circle was one of the ears. Guess she couldn't see it either.

I think you're right! Like I said, before I lightened up the pic, it was hard to see the big one.

Here's one that I don't think has been posted yet. It's not a super picture and I can't even blow it up to look better. Hopefully, someone may come along with a better picture - but it is on the tablet in front of the Sleeping Monk on SpaceShip Earth. It's on the reddish paper in the upper right corner - kinda right above the Monk's right hand. It's kind of a difficult shot to take b/c you have to go by the Monk and then look back.

I have seen many times Donald and Mickey in the Hieroglyphics, but have yet to see C3PO and R2D2 in that room. Can someone post a picture or better yet directions of where to look. I have asked many CMs working it and still with no luck. I have seen a picture of it on themeparks.com and in the details section of the MGM Studios theme park DVD.

This is a great thread :) I just added it to my bookmarks! My friend and I play a game where we send each other pictures from Disney property to see if the other can guess where they are. They're usually zoomed in or of a really obscure item/place. He's much better than me because he was a cast member :p So now I can send him hidden mickeys and see if he can figure out where they're from! Thanks!!

This past September, at the Beach Club Villas, I found 2 HM's in our room and I found pictures of them on here. Made me feel like I was an expert! LOL

While at rope drop in Epcot this Thanksgiving, we were talking to a CM and telling her we were headed to Soarin, she told us to watch the golfing scene very carefully, and to check out the golf ball as it is hit very quickly toward us, there is a mickey head on it! There are two blue areas directly to the left of the Toy Story logo on the front of the ride vehicle. In the upper one, there are three white swirls forming a classic HM.

I've found 3 different ones during Soarin' - So far!
1. Golf Ball
2. Golf Cart - Mickey Balloon - Right before they hit the Golf Ball, there is a Golf Cart in the lower left with someone holding a Mickey Balloon!
3. Fireworks over DisneyLand

Supposedly, there is one in the Ski Scene as well, but I have yet to find that one!

the pen & Mickey is upsatairs at the train station on mainstreet (although my husband is at WDW now and said they have it all boarded up right now) not sure what kinda work they are doing there?

one of the CMs pointed the hidden Mickey out to us. she said it is the world largest Hidden Mickey. look at it as an ariel view and you will see the ears, eyes nose mouth, etc...it's kinda incredible. not sure the best way to define this but if you look at the large gold dome in the middle, with the smaller half dome to the left just below the half dome the wall that is curved is Mickeys chin...then just work your way up. let me know if you see it

I can finally put pictures.

This is my favorite HM I've found. It's a little because I love Kermie and Muppets. I don't know if it's in the books or not.
