Ok I'm confused! What's a HM Island??!! Is it shaped like a HM?

Hidden Mickey (flamingo) Island is on the Kilimanjaro Safaris @ the AK- I had NO IDEA this even existed. I had to go back and stare at the pic just to figure it out! :rotfl:

Mickey's (2) ears are to the right of the pic and the island is his head. eh :confused3 -- I think its pushing the hidden Mickey thing a bit-- but if they say its a Mickey, then I guess its a Mickey! :rotfl2:

I just love all the great info on hidden Mickeys!! I can't wait to go in May to find them. I have not been to WDW in 15 years so I have a lot to catch up on!

...well...that you can see from the ground. I was surfing through Microsoft maps (similar to Google Earth)...(for instance: here is Cinderella's Castle:

I found this by following the monorail from the resorts loop to the TTC and as I was following the monorail to see Epcot, I noticed this in one of the pictures to the side and clicked to investigate!

I posted this earlier in the thread, but it's small. Here it is bigger - it's a better angle on it and you can 'see' the Mickey a little easier. I had to hold the camera above my head and hope it came out or risk the CM yelling at me to sit down. I'd like to find an arial shot of it sometime.

In the castle picture behind the register closest to the fancy lobby some pixie dust sprays across. In the brief second it's gone it leaves a HM behind.

This HM is on the Hidden Mickey Jungle Trek at the AK! (Technically, it's called the Maharajah Jungle Trek, but there are so many HM's in there that I have re-named it!) It is just past the Tiger Exhibit in the Elk's (?) deer exhibit - along the wall closest to the Tigers. Really hard to see and very small - I knew exactly where it was supposed to be or I never would have seen it!

We did the HM Jungle Trek in May 2006 and the cast members in the area near the tigers are very helpful in finding all of these...!

When you are looking at the Waving Mickey, turn around and look in the bushes right behind you...

Tigger&Tink and Tiki Room Fan - The Hidden Sorcerer Mickey is in Blizzard Beach - it's in the very back of the park on a bridge that goes over the Lazy River! It's one of my favorites!

BFIrrera - That's a great view of the Hidden Mickey Lake! Like princesspwrhr said, it is on the infield of the Richard Petty Driving Experience. I love to do the Google & MSN Maps - there should be a couple of "Sand Traps" from the golf courses that show up as HMs as well!

Now this will be my favorite thread. Hunting Hidden Mickeys quickly became my DD's favorite thing to do at our last trip. She was seven. We are going to WDW for two weeks at Christmas and we plan to spend time just looking for them. You guys are much better that we were. I'm going to make me a list from what you guys have here and see how many of them we can find.

Jafar is on the Pangani Trail in the Africa section of the AK - the trail right as you come off the Safari. It's just past the Gorilla viewing area.

Here's a Really neat Hidden Mickey that I cannot seem to get a good picture of! Mickey's sitting on the roof of the Contemporary waving! He can be seen from the Monorail b/t the Contemporary & the TTC. (If anyone has a better picture, PLEASE post it!)

The Contemporary Roof one is Awesome! I don't know if it has always been there or not - but it's right outside the Contempoary Resort - on the Loop b/t CR and TTC. Thought this was kind of weird- folding my jeans frm the dryer this morning and noticed red marks all over my jeans! They were in the wash with DHs jeans that he had worn to do yard work so it may have come from those-- well- while putting stain stuff on each and every mark- I held up the jeans to see if I missed any spots and saw this! :rotfl:

Has anyone seen/photographed the golf ball HM on Soarin'? I'm going to try and get it on film next month, but it'll probably be hard to get unless I record it on video.

I don't think they let you videotape it, but it is a good HM. My family had to point it out to me so many times until I saw it

Yeah, it goes real fast... I don't know if a 30fps video camera would pick it up or not... I know it's there, but I can't hardly see it even though I'm trying my darndest...

I was referred here from another forum and hoping you guys can help.

I'm looking for a link to find a list of Hidden Mickeys. I have been on several websites, but they are more of a discussion and photos. A couple of months ago, I remembered finding a website that had lists for each park of Hidden Mickeys to look for. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and/or can direct me to that site?

Thanks! Looking for a little extra adventure to keep my DS6 busy on the moments of I can't walk any further!!

You can buy the book directly from Steven Barrett's site - or it will be easy to find AT WDW as well! (I think I actually got mine from Amazon!) Make sure that you ask at the front desk about the Hidden Mickeys at the WL - they used to have a scavenger-hunt-type-thingee that they ran!

And make sure to post ALL your finds Here when you get back!

Yes, I DID notice the second hidden Mickey's! I didn't notice when we were there in the room, but after I got home and uploaded my photos I saw them! Too cool! The rooms at POFQ are FILLED with hidden Mickey's! Love it! :thumbsup2

We were at the Animal Kingdom in December and found a Hidden Mickey in a book/display case at Expedition Everest while waiting in line. There's a small white Yeti in the upper right corner of the tall wooden display case as you turn a corner in the line. The Yeti is wearing black Mickey ears. So cute!

Ok - I want to know EXACTLY where R2-D2 & C-3PO are! The Mickey & Donald in my Sig (and Post 1!) are as you are leaving the "throne room" in GMR. I knew that R2 & 3PO where there, but I had not seen them before - Not even a Picture! FWIW - I had also heard that R2, 3PO, Mickey & Donald were actually in the Original Set for Raiders of the Lost Ark as well - but I cannot substantiate that!

Thanks for the link...I am affraid I didn't find much help with it. The only thing I seen referring to my problem only told me I should have got a program with my digital camera or I can buy a program. I know there has got to be a very easy way to do this...I just don't know what it is!

2) Please give some more details on R2D2/C3P0. The Mickey in this scene is one of my favorites. Where are the Star Wars characters in relation to the HM?

One other thought...

At the end of Soarin', there are three large firework explosions right in the middle of the screen that form a classic HM. Very easy to spot, but I don't have a pic.

I remember seeing something in Mission:Space, but I didn't get a picture. It is not a HM, but an homage to Horizons. Do you remember the old symbols they had for the future world attractions? They were all circles with a symbol inside (the living seas had waves in the circle, horizons had a horizon, etc.). In the main queue area for M:S, there is the big rotating space station thing. If you look at the dead center of it, there is the horizons symbol. It spins in place as the whole thing rotates. I love little details like that.

If you don't remember the symbols I am talking about, I have an old epcot shirt with all of the symbols on the sleeve, I could take a pic of that and post it.

Found one (or several . . . depending on how you look at it) on my recent trip. Sorry I don't have a picture, but maybe somebody else does. If you look up at the clock tower above the WDW Railroad as you are entering the MK, there is are panels with a group of concentric circles: one large circle in the middle with several smaller ones surrounding it. It could actually make up a few HM's. Anyone else seen it?

The pictures are of Devine from the Animal Kingdom. "She's" a performance artist who's Awesome! She has stilts & kinda camouflages into the surrounding "jungle" pathway b/t Asia & Africa. I couldn't find a good description on the DIS, but here's a review from another "ear"y website! I am sure if you did a Search on the DIS, you will find plenty of posts on Devine!

No pix of these, but I remember them being pointed out when we took our KTTK tour a few years back. The first is easy to see in HM - it isn't an official HM we were told, but something the CMs do over and over again, as it gets fixed often. It is in the dishes of the long diningroom table - I think it's the one where the ghosts are chasing each other around.

The other one I would NEVER see in a million years - not that I'm good at seeing any of them (my eyes hurt after looking at all these pictures and trying to see them!). It's in PoTC (hope it is still there - haven't been on it since the changes). When the boat turns it's last corner before the area you get off at, there is a light hanging on the left (I'm going from memory - it may be over a door or archway). It is a hanging lamp, and the shadow made by the light in the lamp on the wall is a hidden mickey. You can only see it after you have passed it and you need to look back over your left shoulder to see it.

We go back in March - if I remember, I will try to take a picture.

I never said that they are impossible to get...I was just told that they were harder to get than hidden Mickey's. Glad you have pics too. Glad IndyJammer was able to post the pics for you. I think one reason it may be harder to get her face is because she is not out all the time like most of the HM. Plus she does try to hide her face alot though...

I haven't had time to read through every post on here but I foound two hidden mickey's this weekend! My DD6 was really excited about them. I think I'll get her the book for Christmas. :) I can't post pictures but I'll describe where they are for anyone else visiting soon.

1. Eating in Columbia Harbor House in MK. We were right back from where you order next to the condiment table. If you're facing the food stand and look to the right there is a nautical type chart on the wall - it's a HM. My DH found that one.

2. Ordering from the Market Stand place in MGM (across from Beauty and the Beast). I was ordering from the stand with chicken and burgers. I was in the center line and while I waited (and waited...and waited...) I finally noticed there were some instrument type thingies on the wall - like guages or something. ONe big one and two little ones, on the wall behind the counter.

At some point I thought I read there were some in Carousel of Progress. Well we looked and looked and all we could find was the Mickey nutcracker in the last scene - DD6 found that one!

In the laughing place room in Splash Moutain, after you have come down the last small hill and as you are making a left turn. (before the little gopher comes out of the ceiling) look to your right. There will be a a rope hanging down with some knots tied into it. The knots are loose and they from a hidden mickey.

I could show you if we were on the ride, but I can't think of directions at the moment. I'll take a look Friday when we head over and let you guys know. I know they are on the right hand side in the indy section.

I guess we would need to know which room, what side of the car, how high on the wall, and what props it is near. For example, The Hidden Mickey and Donald hieroglyphics are in the first Indy room, left hand side, in the corner as you exit the room, about three stones up.

I don't think this one has been posted yet. We found it in Sept 2006. It is in Epcot, Japan Pavilion. Three rocks in a HM are glued down on this bigger rock. We didn't find it mentioned in the HM book. It is hidden in a bush.

Osborne Family Lights

They announced that there were 60-70 Hidden Mickeys. We found about 25. Very fun night for all of us.

This was the Train at the intersection of NY and San Francisco streets.

This is on the wall to your left in the boiler room of tower of terror as the lines split. Its hard to see because the room is much darker than this picture (w/ flash) shows. Its prety hard to see but it looks like just a water stain on the wall until you see it. When you do see it, its a really fun one.

If you look where the White flower meets the green at the points of the two (this would be the second green from the bottom ). Between that green and the next one up (third from bottom ) you can see the nose right at the tip and the mouth right under it.
Then between the 3rd and forth from the bottom you can see the eyes looking right towards the white flower. The next green up is his forhead.
Then from the 3rd -5th is his ear.

I can only see the Nose and mouth on the small one from themudd4

Here I decided to just do a paint over it.

No - I can totally see it now!!! I've been staring at that picture for literally years & could not see it!!! Your drawing was great! I "thought" I could see One eye & his mouth/nose, but I could not see any ears. I always thought that it was just a shot from the side, but I understand what "three-quarters profile" means now.

I can see it clearly now - both eyes & ears! I had heard this one described as an "older" version of Mickey & I understand that as well now. It is a little more "rat" like than Mickey is today.

I almost took a picture, but then I didn't, but there is a statue of a dalmation in Mama Melrose's waiting area, and one of it's spots is, in fact, a hidden Mickey. My first find! I was so proud.

Hey craig15 - I believe that Winnie has been "lost!" According to the hiddenmickeysguide website: "Comments from the author:
In the second scene to your right along the moving walkway at the Space Mountain exit, a shadow of Winnie the Pooh repeatedly moves right to left across a large hole in a rock. (This shadow has changed and no longer resembles Pooh! Let me know what you think.)"

Yes, it's right above the cash registers where you can buy the ride photos. I had a lot of time to look for it while my family rode it 4 times, I'm a big chicken! :laughing:

As promised, here are directions to find the Hidden C3PO & R2D2!

It's basically Dead in the Center of the Room. I was shocked when I realized that I had missed it before! In the "Throne Room" of the Indiana Jones Section of the Great Movie Ride, look to the Left Side of the Ride Car. There are 2 Statue thingees in each corner and there is a Crate in the middle of the room. and it is basically the tile right above the crate. I believe it is the 2nd row of Hieroglyphics from the ground. (Mickey & Donald are about the 4th or 5th row from the ground)
