Anyone know when Universal releases 2007 hotel rates? We are going July 5, 6 and 7, 2007 and want to stay at Royal Pacific or Portofino Bay.
Would love to book it soon!
Thanks! :thumbsup2

I was wondering the same thing :confused3 We are going July 0f 07, If you make reservations at the regular rate and then find a cheaper one like when APH comes out can you change it?
Thanks for the info

Rates are not yet out. I phoned last month, and was told to phone back for rack rates. Person on the phone didn't know when they would be available, but suggested calling again in July. Their website won't let you book for 2007 yet.
Mickeygirl, yes you can change if the rate drops. I've done this before - booked at rack, which dropped twice before planned check-in. You have to watch for it though, and call them when you notice a better deal - they won't give you the cheaper rate unless you request it.

I called today also hoping for April '07 rate. Was told they could be out any day but would have to call back.
It's been a while since we've been to Universal. Do they still offer Fan Club Rates at the on--site hotels??

I think Universal could lose business this way. I'm fed up waiting for the January rates and I'm tempted just to tag a few days on to our Disney stay. We're going in less than 6 months and I like to have everything booked by now.

I just called and was told that the only rooms available to reserve HRH for January 2007 is Club level or King suites.
Does this make sense? Are the different classes of rooms released at different times? :confused3

I tried again today and was told that for the two nights in January we wanted, the suites are the only rooms available for HRH. Apparently the standard rooms are only open for longer stays right now.
I had a very nice reservationist this time around and she explained that to me. While HRH is my first choice, we booked for now at the RPH and will keep checking back for better rates and maybe a room at HRH.
January 2007 standard waterview room at RPH - $239.

Booked for 9 nights HRH 17 May 2007.
$269 + tax (King suite being Loews plat). Obviously hoping for a AAA rate but will stick it out at rack rate to keep the suite if I have to :)

That is soooo strange. Well, I will be calling back to see when the APH rates kick in. And if it will be possible to get HRH.
I am surprising my DF with this trip. He is a crazy music freak (he owns a record store, yes RECORDS) and he is also a crazy Marvel freak - so I think he will super freak if I can pull off both.
She said they should be released in the next couple of months. Does that sound about right? I'll keep calling anyway, but I was just curious.
Thanks!

I just called to book HRH for June 1-3 and was told the rates aren't available yet. They said it'd be at least a few more weeks before rates area available. Kind of weird that some are able to book and some aren't.

I would call back again because the rates are definitely out.
But I think its only the rack rates. AAA rates, etc. are not out yet.

Did somebody book thru AAA?
I'm new using the AAA and it is the first time booking on-site, Do I have to book thru Universal and then apply the AAA rates when they are released? Or do I have to do it everything thru AAA?
Thanks....CAN"T WAIT TO BOOK!!!!!

You have definitely been misinformed. I have booked two nights at HRH for January 2007 and my friend has booked two nights at RPR for January 2007. I can't understand why people are having a problem making a reservation by phone. I would call back and try again.

May I ask, what resort, what type of room, and how did you find out about the upgrade? The rate is far better than my $339. Thank you.

I booked for the RPR July 24th to 4th August for a standard 2 beds room, i told girl i was a Lowes first she took my number and told me i would be upgraded to water view as they where available, so saving $30 a night plus waiting on AAA to see what else i save , may be able to stay an extra couple of nights with the savings

Thanks everybody.....I called the number posted above, and this time I was able to make reservations for June, 2007. Rate for a Queen Deluxe was $349/night! I sure hope a good AAA discount comes out! Last time I did this in advance hoping for a discount, I never ended up with that discount and we paid rack rates.....that time was Easter week though.....hopefully there will be at least some discounts for early June.
