Hi, our 8 year old dd can go on anything AND WILL! She's done Space Mtn, Splash Mtn, Thunder Railroad, even ToT! My son was 15 months old April 2001 for his first trip to WDW, he went on lots of stuff too, Pooh, Peter Pan, Small World, Snow White, Movie Ride, Spaceship Earth, lots more. We will be going again, April 2002, son will be two years and 3 months old. I think he would LOVE the Tea Cups and Goofy's Barnstormer. Can a two year old go on those rides. I think GBS is 35 inch restriction, he's 32 inches now. But I can't find a retriction for Tea Cups. What do you think?

My very tall 23mo went on Barnstormer in September, so there is no age restriction. You're right; the height restriction is 35". Hopefully your guy will have a growth spurt! DD loved it. She seemed a little awestruck as it was going on, but after it was over she squealed, "AGAIN!"
BTW, she still talks about riding "Bumbo" a month later!

I just bought a pair of shoes for my 46 inch 6 yr. old boy, they have a 2 inch height making him tall enough for the
rock n roller coaster in 29 days!!!
Try to find some taller shoes, like boots or sketchers they all had very tall soles,
he could wear them for the rides he needs to be tall enough on!!!
good luck

My DD was 2 & 1/2 when we were there and she rode the teacups 3 or 4 times. Like was said before just don't spin to much. Also make sure you do Buzz Lightyear if you haven't already, it is great. Don't know about the barnstormer, she would have loved it but we never made it back to that area of the park for some reason and I'm not sure she would have been tall enough.

the Alladin ride. It is alot like Dumbo but she loved it, too and Princess Jasmine and Genie ride it occassionally. She also rode Haunted Mansion with no problems, Pirates of the Caribean, and has been on Jungle Cruise before. At Animal Kingdom I think the only thing she rode on was Kilimanjaro Safari's. I'm not sure if she was to small for Kali River because she was asleep when we went on it.

There is no height restriction for Tea Cups and we took our ds when he was just 9 mo in a sling with no problems and our just 24 mo also in a sling. They both loved it. Good thing they were in a sling because neither of them would have been able to walk afterwards the way my dh turns those cups!
As for the recommendation to buy "platform" shoes for your son, consider that the height restrictions are a safety issue not an age issue. I've seen "Little People" (adults under 4' tall turned away from rides). They do periodically look at footware as well. My youngest (and petite) dd was wearing platform tennis shoes last year and the CM looked at her and measured her to see if she "passed" enough to compensate her shoes. I would think at what cost to safety riding a ride would be. With our family we know this isn't a "once in a lifetime thing" and that we will be back (our yearly family vacation), but even if it were, I don't know if I would be willing to sacrifice safety for fun. Juat something to think about.
Maybe if there is a ride that your son can't do you could split up and one of you go with your dd on the "big ride" and take ds on a ride that is more age/height appropriate. Maybe instead of BTMRR you could do Tea Cups again or instead of Space Mt. another tour through BLSA. And Dumbo and Carpets can be "thrilling" as well as Astro Orbiter.
Just food for thought.
