If things keep going well, my new DBF (who I met on DisMates) and I will be on this cruise. I am secretly planning this as a surprise birthday present for him. His actual birthday is March 15. It will be my 3rd Disney cruise, his first. Adults only! :thumbsup2

Made my final payment today!!!! WooHoo!!! Anyone else?

I'm ready to go NOW!!!! Can't believe I have to wait soooo much longer! Anxious to see the changes on the Wonder after drydock. Looking forward to the new splash pool. Even though my kids are older I'm sure they'll love it.

Now, just hoping some Florida Resident Rates become available and I'll be a happy gal!

See ya there!

Waiting's the hardest part! Still thinking up ways to tell the kids, it's going to be a surprise from Santa. Trying to get my creative juices flowing. We did a puzzle last time, as my younger one couldn't read well. I'm sure I'll think of something soon.

Made Palo brunch/CC bike rental ressies today...I like when it finally says "booked" on the DCL website.

Even though it seems like March is so far away, it'll be here before we know it. Look how fast it's gone since the beginning of school.

I know.....we made our finally payment and now the kids are even more excited! Their checking out the menus and trying to decide what their going to eat!

What excursions are you all going to do....we're still trying to decide. Also do you have to pay for these up front or once we're on the ship?

I was hoping we could get a thread started with our group....I can't wait to meet everyone!!

Hello,

You do not pay now. It will be on your final bill at the end of the cruise. When you get to your room when first boarding you will have tickets for each of the excursions that you booked. You can go ahead and sign up for excursions now and then change them on line if you want too. I would advise this because they fill up fast. Last time in Nassau we did the Dolphin excursion. It was fun but the girls want to do something different. I think we are going to do the Atlantis Beach Day. In CC we are going to parasail. My girls are excited too. I don't know who is more excited though them or me.

Okay...I have question on the Atlantis Beach Day.....can you use the pool at the hotel with this? I know my kids would love to use the pool and beach here. We're also going to do the parasailing at CC.

Thanks so the info....

This is the one thing that really bothers me. No, you can't use the pools or the slides. I really like to book my excursions through Disney in case of bad weather and you don't get to dock and whatever else can happen. However, in order to use these pools and slides you have to go outside of Disney. I wonder what a day rate would be? We did the dolphins and loved it in 2004. This past June we did the submarine in Grand Cayman. It was OK but not an excursion I would want to do again. We thought about the stingray excursion until all the stuff that has happened with them in the past few months. The beaches really are OK in Nassau. For right now we are booked on the beach excursion but might change.... Not for sure yet.

We don't normally book any excursions and being a 4day, I want to enjoy the ship as much as possible so we'll be staying on board. My DH may go ashore to gamble a little. I did reserve bikes for Castaway Cay and have already booked brunch at Palo. I didn't want to miss out on that. Thank goodness for being able to do so much online before you even get on the ship.

My DS has dressed up each time we've gone. And he said he's going to do it again this year. My dd is going to dress up a little bit but not as much as ds. I know the past times he's dressed up lots of people and kids asked him where he got this costume from. He loved all the attention he got from the characters as well!

I am dragging along hubby Ron (32):cool2: , son Brendan (7)pirate: , and daughter Savannah (6)princess: . We are doing the Dolphin Excursion in Nassau, but would like to check out a beach afterwards...if anyone has any recommendations...

I know this particular cruise is sold out but I was mildly suprised to see Palo all booked up. I already had dinner reservations, but was hoping to book a brunch...oh well...! Also..UGH..no florida residents rates

Yes, we just dropped by the Disney Store this weekend to get a Cinderella dress...they have some really pretty ones right now, Belle, Aurora too. They almost have like a "fairy" look to them, Aurora's has a flower petal skirt, and Cinderella's has a bubble skirt. (Belle was my favorite, but it wasn't my choice- ha!) This will be our first cruise so I don't know how many girls do wear the dresses but I know I have read frequently that they do. We only bought the one,so I think we will save it for "dress up night" but who knows. She might insist on wearing it every night!!

I am so looking forward to seeing all the beautiful little princesses...just 2 weeks!!!!!!!!:beach:

I'm not making a door sign this year, but I AM putting the Mickey ears that others have put over their room number! I printed them out and now just have to enlarge them. Can't wait to see how they look!
Plus, I did get the Mickey paint chips from Home Depot and will put each of our names on them. Makes it easy for the kids to find the room for sure.

BTW, has anyone seen the forecast? My hubby fresked me out, he told me he saw 60% chance of rain on Tues (Castaway Cay)....but I just checked and all four days show high 78/79 and low 68/69 with 0% rain on Tues Wed and only 10 % Mon, 20% Sun.....sounds beautiful, let's hope they're right!:woohoo:

Pirate *costumes* at Target? Kids or Adults? Where at? We looked on Saturday and couldn't find squat. Not even shirts. My son already has one, as he was Captain Jack for Halloween, but I wasn't sure what I was going to do with my daughter...or us, I love all the pirate group pics I have seen on the white background! Hey, all!
Sorry I didn't meet any of you on the ship. I did decorate my door (room 2532) but forgot my lime green Mickey! I did attend the Castaway Club Meet and Greet on Wednesday and when Captain Henry mentioned that he does read the Dis Boards daily there were several of us that gave out a good laugh!

Anyone know why we returned to Nassau in the middle of the night Monday? We heard from a crew member that there was an elderly man who was very sick and needed to get to the hospital. Our prayers went out to that family that everything turned out okay.

Hope you all had as great a time as we did. Kids enjoyed the clubs and stayed most nights till closing. We got to enjoy the entertainment in Wavebands...Ian was hilarious!

Welcome back everyone!

I too am sorry we never got to meet anyone. Met lots of other people from Tampa though, including the family right across the hall from us. And wow, how about that wind???? I about got blown overboard off deck 10!

We did decorate our door also (7539), and it was the only decorated door I saw on the whole ship (apart from the DVC magnets). Of course we never ventured deeply onto decks 2, 6, or 8. I could hear passers-by in the hall commenting on it. They thought it was provided by Disney Cruise Line!!! (I guess that means it looked pretty good!):goodvibes

I never even noticed that we went back to Nassau- we were exhausted and fell asleep early every night (except the last)...in fact by Tues we were so tired the kids fell asleep right after dinner and we missed the Pirate Party. I am sure we will catch it NEXT TIME! The kids didn't spend too much time in the clubs, only while we were at Palo and during our Banana Boat ride:banana: on CC...not that they didn't like it, just were too busy doing stuff with us. We never got to see any entertainment (apart from the main shows), never got to play bingo, didn't get to do any tours...just weren't enough hours in the day. We did spend a good share of our time in Shutters, though....arguing and spending over $600....heh.

I do plan on writing a trip report. It should be pretty good. I have to get my post count over 10 before I start it, though so I can post the pictures! I'll make sure to post a link in this thread too so everyone subscribing here catches it.

Ugh, who else has to go back to work today?????:sad2:
