ameribags in rain?

I am thinking of purchasing an Ameribag for our upcoming trip. Any thoughts or experiences on how they hold up if they get wet? Is the nylon more water resistant than the microfiber?

My nylon bag isn't water proof, more like water resistant. A little rain is no problem but a downpour and things can get wet. Saying that we have been in some pretty heavy downpours in WDW, not to mention the water rides, and I don't remember the inside of my bag getting soaked.

I just spent 12 days in fl., 7 of them in disney. I brought the tan microfiber ameribag. Love the use of the bag, but it does get heavy with alot of things in it. I didn't carry my water in it because that kept falling out. Also the tan bag got extremely dirty. I want to see what the company will do for me because I never thought it would get this dirty! If I know I would of bought a black one. That may help you deside on the color.

As for wear and tear I have a black nylon that looks a little distressed even when new. After all these years the only place you can see and signs of wear is the buttons that hold on the strap cushion. It's not even noticable unless you look. I have been pleased with how well this has help up.

r&t'smom you can wash the bag with a damp cloth and the grime should come off. Microfiber is great for that. You might even be able to put it in the wash but I have only used a damp cloth, inside as well.
