how people upload videos to sites like YouTube. I have a wonderful video of Horizons I think others would like to see but I'm clueless on how this is done.
Do you need special equipment? I have a video camera, the original tape and a computer with Windows XP on it. That's it. No special bells and whistles. :(
Just curious if anyone on this board has posted a video and how (in SIMPLE terms  ) this is done.

I'm taking "the original tape" to mean you have a tape video camera (versus a digital video camera)? If that is the case then you'll need special software to get the tape onto the computer. My dad did a bunch of tapes I had of my DD when she was young and put them on a DVD for me. It is time consuming, but nice to have them in digital format.
If you have a digital video camera than it should be in the manual :)

You need an add-in board (or external device) that will capture video and put it onto your computer. The easist is an external device like this.

This is just one of many but it gives you an idea of what to look for. I've never used one so I don't know how complicated it is.
